The Comacina you breathe the same magical atmosphere that surrounds Comacchio ... In a very relaxed environment, we leave to comfort from fine cuisine signed Carli where gastronomy and hospitality are distinctive features of the Family. The kitchen offers guests just downstream fish and homegrown sea, the freshness of homemade pasta as it once was, homemade marinated and grilled fish on braci.Il all in an environment of simple elegance, with a excellent service that takes hospitality to the final cuddle, sweet, dessert and homemade sorbets, to leave a lasting sweet remember .
Closed for Holiday from 8 to 25 January and from 5 to 22 November 2018
Famiglia Carli
We sent a request for a dinner reservation by email which was promptly confirmed within the hour so that was a good start.
Our Italian is non-existent so we followed our well-trod path of turning up at 7:45pm (before the locals normally arrive at 8:00-8:15pm) so we could get a translation of the menu, only to find that the restaurant was half full already. Maybe this was because they are part of a hotel and other guests were dining.
That said, our waiter was able to translate the menu and even though we were served by at least 3 different people, the service was very good and everyone took an extra minute or two to explain in English.
As is typical with many Italian restaurants, the emphasis is on great quality ingredients with little fussing. The fish and shellfish were exceptionally fresh and tasty. For a starter one of us had the crawfish wrapped in a (cabbage?) leaf with polenta which was delicious. The fish for the main course was brought to the table whole and filleted skillfully in front of us. All washed down with a local bottle of Pruno Drei Dona Sangiovese Riserva and even with dessert and a couple of bottles of water the bill came to just under 110 Euros.
This is a well run restaurant with friendly staff, great seafood and a really friendly, homely atmosphere. The time flew by and it was a really enjoyable meal. Highly recommended.

Vegetable soup. Bland stock underseasoned with mushy vegetables. Scallops covered in fine breadcrumbs before being cooked until dead. Sole ( 2x small fish ) was well grilled, but the fine bones had not been trimmed off which made eating difficult. Wilted spinach was the highlite of the meal. Add a salad, 1/4 litre of local red wine and 2 x bottes of water. €64. Mediocre service. No credit cards accepted? Poor value. I normally give a second or third visit before critisizing, but this was not just a bad day, it is what it is. Not recommended.

This historic trattoria,at the foot of the Cathedral in the great Place of Dom, opened since 1975 by Carli family has, over the years has reached excellence levels.Present of the must famous gastronomic guides and serves traditional dished and seafood lagoon. In the first mounths of this year, with the return of the part of the family, was born a new project, that by proper redesign will continue with renewed enthusiasm and professionalism,in a sign of the continuing quest for quality.
Very clean upscale place specializing in fish. This was my first experience with the local eel. Had the grilled whole eel, done perfectly and presented attractively. Sides were good as was the pasta. Did not try risoto. I consider the place somewhat pricey.

Here you can have fish as fish should be eaten. The place is simple, elegant and clean (maybe a little bit cold atmosphere, warmer lights might help).
There's no menu if you don't ask, and that is a pain point. We asked for it and the list was interesting and balanced. We choose the mixed local appetizers that were very good. The suggested wine was a perfect choice. Our children had a good seafood rice (maybe a bit too cooked), and we prosecuted with a mixed grill and a grilled fresh fish. One of the best I've ever had.
The price was adequate: it's not the place to go everyday (>60€ each adult person) but deserves a very good rating in my opinion.
I'll go there again.

Visited this Fastfood eatery a number of times whilst staying in a local apartment before moving into our new home in Italy about 20km away.
Piadina are excellent value for money and for about €6,00 including coffee, just what you need as a late morning snack.
Highly recommended.

We heard it in the grapevine, checked it on tripadvisor and came to the same conclusion as most of the other reviewers... Very good! Compares to what is offered in the region it is outstanding. Had I had the choice I would have voted 4.5...
Quick service in an osteria, furnished as a family restaurant. Therefore a little noisy. Not a big deal, but i just want to paint the picture.
They sell all kind of yumminess in the integrated shop.
The wine and water as a self service is a grat idea, but the white wine is to blend to promise the party feel that we would get from the food. Everything is home made and prepared from the local farm. The best lasagna that I ever tasted... Great passerelli in a broth. The grand italia fritta was good, with fried custard and all, but could have been comprised of a wider variation of seasonal vegetables. The grilled veal platter was great with fantastic meat. The brusschette to start with covered already a lot of taste buds, so be careful not to order too many.
Desserts were nice with a fantastic chocolate cream cake as a worthy finish of a lovely evening. We will be back.

In Porto Garibaldi, it is known for the many friggitoria where you get deep fried seafood. Lately many new places have popped up so it is always fun to try a new place. El Puerto has friendly staff. The waiter was pleasant. Food wise, what you paid and what was served simply not worth it. We ordered mixed seafood for two. What came out looked more like a portion for one, and there was only two kinds of seafood in our mixed basket, tiny sardines and small calamari. We paid €18. Considering the town is by the sea and full of fishing boats along the canal going out everyday, there really is no excuse to serve this. Will not be coming back again.

This restaurant used to be limited to Marina members and users. Nowadays everybody is welcome. I will be back in 2015 after having eaten here twice in 2014. Good food, great service and civilized ;)

I've been here the last 3 years for the summer visiting family and I always go here for ice cream! It's beautifully smooth, creamy and very tasty! The children also enjoy the crepes here with Nutella! They never disappoint!
I'm here for another week so I will be going back for another one before heading home !
