Stopped in for lunch while on a short business trip. AMAZING!!! I was surprised how good this place was. Absolutely the best Kee-Mao ever. Ruined me. The starter soup (forgot what it was) was really good too. Just writing this makes me want to go back. If you have the opportunity to go... just do it! Yum!!!

Our House Cafe

Reviewed By Terri D - Waterloo, IL

My husband and I went in for lunch and both ordered a BLT and flavored coffee. The food and coffee was delish! The coffee was at a "help yourself" area and there were a few flavors to choose from.

The restaurant is quaint - something that you would expect in a small town like Columbia. It was decorated nicely, was clean and the staff was great. I was impressed with our waiter who not only kept us entertained but checked on us to see if we needed anything.

There were only a couple small tables that were empty when we were there, which spoke to how the shop was received by others. (An empty restaurant you see would be negative).

The only drawback was that it's off of Main Street and if you didn't know that it was there then you would surely miss it.

As Mikey (Life Cereal commercials) said many years ago, "Try it, you'll like it!"

We got ribs, pork pulled pork and pork steak as well as sweet potato fries, coleslaw hush puppies and also cheese fries. Everyone loved their meals and everything including all the sides were A+++! The meat on the ribs was fall off the bone and had a great flavor. We love the sweet sauce! And the pork steak and pulled pork was so moist! The two kinds of fries were great as well and the coleslaw was awesome! The only bad thing about this place is that I'm sad that we don't live closer to it!!! Va is a long way to drive for dinner! But if we're in this neck of the woods again we will be stopping here without any questions! Oh also they give big portions and all of us left with leftovers!

We were in Columbia for a wedding reception and small towns often offer a good meal for a good value and this place did not disappoint. Very good appetizer of Nachos and great pizza and wrap for my date. The service at the bar was great and the female bartender was very social and accommodating. It was a nice dinner meal.

We have only had breakfast here so this review is solely on a Saturday morning breakfast stop. It has it's good points and it's bad points. First the good everyone was very friendly most customers seemed to be locals and the staff knew them by name. We ordered breakfast plates both with eggs which were good you can't really mess up an egg. The bacon was excellent and the country fried steak was fantastic also. It was reasonably priced so no complaints on that end. The not so good parts was the Pepsi out of the soda gun from the bar was awful. The biscuits were pre made frozen and tasteless. The gravey wasn't any better and tasted like it was out of a can. A few minor changes and they could have a awesome breakfast but as it stands it's just so so.
