We eat often at Alodia’s. The food is great, the service is excellent, and the prices are right. No matter what dishes we order, they taste good. The lasagna will make your eyes roll back in your head. I recently tried the seafood risotto and...MoreHi Rodney, We're glad to be a staple for you. Our cuisine can be labeled many things, but it is most definitely seasonal. Our service is professional, yet far from stuffy. Our décor is modern, yet simple, and our wine list is extensive. Perhaps most important of all, everyone from our servers and bartenders, to our chefs and management, are among the most dedicated service industry professionals in our community.
Enjoyed dinner on a busy Friday night. Parking was hard to find w the restaurant so busy and all parking around the building complex was full. Meal was great and enjoyable. The staff seemed to manage the crowd well. We enjoyed two appetizers, scallops and duck wings, to start followed by entrees. My lamb dish was excellent. We brought our own French champagnes to share do we did not order other drinks from the restaurant.

I ordered the pollo loco, it was delicious, loved the smoky flavor of the spinach and chard onions. My husband had the enchiladas platter. We were both very pleased with our food.

Again, a visit to the Columbia restaurant that serves up the very best hamburgers, for my money, in town has continued its excellence!
In fact, the hamburger specials have been so good that I almost never ordered anything else! Today that changed and my non-hamburger food was also excellent!
Thanks to the management and staff for wonderful food and service!

Wonderful décor, top-notch service and excellent food with ample servings. What's not to like? You tell me. It's been years since we actually dined at a restaurant where we could actually smell the flavor of a delicious meal before it ever arrived at our table. Kudo's Cola, you're a great find!

Located in the historic Congaree Vista with a heated patio and free valet parking, Motor Supply has been serving progressive, New World cuisine using classic French culinary techniques for over 20 years. Led by Executive Chef Wesley Fulmer, the kitchen's lunch, dinner and brunch handwritten menus change daily, featuring contemporary New American cuisine, with nods to Creole, Cajun, New Southern, French, Italian and Asian cuisine. We are Columbia's foremost "farm to fork" restaurant, working with local, sustainable farms for produce, meats, SC seafood and more. Seafood is caught off of the Carolina coast, and all of our stocks, sauces and desserts are made on site, including our charcuterie, with house-made sausages, bacon, country pate, and rillettes, all the way down to the pickles and mustard. Our early 19th century, solid-oak bar with marble columns, imported from Europe, serves 180+ fine wines (Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence, 2006-12), an extensive list of imported, domestic and local craft beers, as well as an artisan farm-to-shaker cocktail list made from house-infused liquors, handmade bitters, barrel-aged spirits and locally-sourced ingredients and garnishes.
This was my first visit after hearing a lot about this restaurant. I had an excellent bone in pork chop dinner with vegetables. The menu is hand written, changes daily and offers a limited selection. Their wine choices by the glass are not close to being adequate. They had a good selection of wine, but it was by the bottle. I am not going to drink a bottle of wine and drive home. This is an area that should be addressed. The staff was friendly and efficient.

DiPrato's Delicatessen opened May 2004, and, today, the DiPrato's Experience affords patrons a rewarding escape from ordinary fare. The reward? Delectable food, beautiful décor, and a beguiling balance: friendly service and a pleasant, neighborly feeling. DiPrato's, located where the Purple Cow grocer operated, graces a quiet neighborhood barely off the beaten path. Driving up, you notice the rich red brick, set off by greenery, and spacious windows where light pours in. Approaching the wooden, double-door entrance, a thought comes to mind. You're about to enjoy the DiPrato's Experience. You could say a Southern breeze laden with Italian accents drifts through this New York style delicatessen. Dine if you like on the patio where the glassy splash of falling water melts away concerns. Pita chips and pimento cheese are a real treat! Blend Dianne Light and Bill Prato's presence and culinary skills and you get a wonderfully popular delicatessen-DiPrato's.
Not the cheapest place to get a sandwich in Columbia, but probably one of the best. Always a good selection of soups, sandwiches, salads and desserts. Very close to the University of South Carolina with ample parking near the establishment.

First time here. Walked down from a hotel, nearby on Main Street. Was warmly greeted with smiles from all the girls at the door. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and vibe. Food is upscale Southern/Cajun and great for foodies. My waitress/bartender was Haley and...MoreThank you!! Haley is the bomb!

Very tender barbecue, although the sauce left a little to be desired. Very messy sandwiches, always good for this kind of food. I tried the Wookie and it was very tender and flavorful, but I would recommend a different sauce. The dark side sauce it came with tasted kind of... well flat is the only words that comes to mind. But the beer was cold and the service was great and friendly.

This restaurant is a cozy old train station converted into a chic dining space. I dined there with nine other women, and everyone enjoyed her lunch. The service was excellent despite our large party. The ambience was lovely, with wainscoated walls and ceiling and linen napkins. Each plate looked scrumptious and the portions were generous. Prices were reasonable for a downtown restaurant.
