Owl Drug was established in 1923 and has been serving the families of Coleman County and all over Texas and beyond for generations. A full service Pharmacy with an Old Fashioned Soda Fountian & Grill along with The Owl's Nest Home & Gift Shop is a delightful and nostalgic rest/ food stop in Coleman. Kid friendly with clean restrooms! The Owl Burgers, fried pickles and hand dipped shakes are fresh and made on the spot! Come see us and make us your stop in Coleman.
This is a classic hot spot for Coleman. It isn't very big and seating fills up quickly around noon. Why? Because the food is GOOD! Even if there's no seating it's worth the wait until you can sit down...and there's plenty to look at while you wait. Good ol' home town friendliness and service. And you gotta try their shakes!

Pizza was delicious and the kids had multiple orders of meatballs. Rose' was phenomenal and very friendly waitress. Wish is it wasn't such a drive and we would go more often.

Very good steaks, along with a complete menu of other choices. Food was excellent and the service was very attentive. Burgers are large and tasty. Chicken Fried Steak is huge and very good. Great location on the Hwy 84 Bypass and plenty of parking for vehicles of all sizes. Open Thursday through Sunday.

Normally, this place is fast, but for some reason....like the restaurant was packed at noon....it was rather slow. However, it was worth the wait. I had a chicken fajita salad packed with tons of chicken and grilled onions, There was so much to eat that anyone could make at least two meals from the one salad which is exactly what I did. I bought some tortillas and had chicken fajitas for supper! This and about 5 others are a daily special for about $6.35. My friend had the beef nachos which looked wonderful...not a daily special, but reasonably priced served on a platter. If you are transit, this a great place to stop. It is truly a reflection of a small town good hidden restaurant right off the by-pass. Not the easiest place to find, but well worth the stop.

China Wok serves excellent fresh food. It is not a buffet, but prepared while you wait. Wait time is very short, as Chef Andy is a very fast cook. The menu is very extensive. The price is very inexpensive. Open Tuesday through Sunday ... 11am to 9 pm. Eat in or carry out. Be sure to try the steamed dumplings.

I can't eat fried foods often, so I have to be careful where I eat when eating fried chicken. I've only eaten here once, but it was good. It is locally owned and operated, so you always get great service I've been told. The chicken was made fresh would we were there.

This is my favorite place in town. . .fresh food, consistent, innovative, and quick! Their speciality is sandwiches but what you have to understand is they cure their own meat for their Reuben. . .use specialty breads. . .just top notch food. The chef is a trained chef with an excellent crew assisting him. My favorite, of course, is the Reuben, but a close second is the Turk....a great Turkey sandwich! They don't have the traditional Coke, but have some very good healthy drinks including tea and water. Great cookies for dessert, but the sandwich is very filling! Cute atmosphere....small and friendly on the main street (Commercial) of Coleman, Texas. Well worth a try!

If you are looking for a nice wine bar experience, please visit the RLV Winery in downtown Coleman, TX. Owners took an old empty building and turned it into a really beautiful and elegant winery with a tasting room, kitchen that can provide small plate appetizers and it is available for private events. They also own Rancho Pizzaria (across the street from the winery and Rancho Loma restaurant in Talpa, TX). The plan is to open a gallery next door to the Pizzaria very soon. It's a wonderful surprise in small town Central Texas.

Driving thru Coleman, we stopped for lunch around 2pm. Just a few folks at that time. We both ordered the hamburgers which come with fries or tater tots.... they had me at tater tots and the hamburgers were delicious! The meat was hot & juicy and the Hawaiian bun gave it a sweet taste! Left full & happy! Great place!

Arrived after the dinner rush. The salad bar was depleted. They said they were going to refill-didn't happen until we were almost done with our meal. The pizza was better than the last Pizza Hut I have been to. They had run out of personal pan so we received a medium with personal pan price. They had no Caesar salad..a bummer. We had to find our own plastic ware, dishes, napkins. So the service was lousy.
