Cold Spring is a village in the town of Philipstown in Putnam County, New York, United States. The population was 1,983 at the 2010 census. It borders the smaller village of Nelsonville and Garrison. The central area of the village is on the National Register of Historic Places as the Cold Spring Historic District due to its many well-preserved 19th-century buildings, constructed to accommodate workers at the nearby West Point Foundry (itself a Registered Historic Place today). The town is the birthplace of General Gouverneur K. Warren, who was an important figure in the Union Army during the Civil War. The village, located in the Hudson Highlands, sits at the deepest point of the Hudson River, directly across from West Point. Cold Spring serves as a weekend getaway for many residents of New York City.

All of our Ice Cream is made fresh daily right here in our shop. Over 100 flavors, 17 rotating daily. Cups, Cones, Specialty Sundaes, Milkshakes & more. We brew our own Iced Coffee!
The ice cream selection is not over whelming. They have about a dozen flavors that are available. All are made there on the spot at the creamery so they are fresh and rich in taste.

Hudson Hil's is right in the center of Cold Spring. It has a very hip feel to it and is within walking distance to pretty much everything in the town. We came her food lunch and around 2:00pm it was still very busy. We were seated promptly and our waitress was attentive. I had the flank steak sandwich for lunch. It was decent, but nothing amazing. We also tried the grilled cheese with fig. Again, it was ok but nothing special. Overall, we had a nice experience because of the atmosphere, however the food was lacking.

We are a multi-roaster coffee, craft beer & wine shop located in the Mid-Hudson Valley.
Great addition to the Cold Spring NY area. Each of the special coffee they have found have complex exceptional flavors. As you go away drinking your coffee each taste is wonderful... better than the best coffee's that you can find. The environment is very special artisanal. The people who own and run this special small company truly care and are always making it better. The tune into all their customers... creating a true relationship with each. The wonderful women who serve you really care... reaching out to conect and to make sure that you really go away with more than you expect. Each friend that has visited and tested this experience... calls me and raves about their experience.

I don't know what was better, the food, the ambience or the view. This quaint little inn, right on the water, really made my day.

This a little gem in the village of Cold Spring. Stop by for great homemade ice cream (more like gelato) priced much more reasonably than other spots in the village. They have great Argentinian pastries and sweets (cookies, churros, danish, etc) plus delicious savory empanadas. Coffee and beverage selection is excellent. Atmosphere is cozy with tables inside and outside along the sidewalk. The owners are always present, genuine and friendly. Always a great and authentic experience here!

Stopped here recently for coffee, on a nice fall afternoon, and also for a bit of dessert. The staff are friendly, the place is cozy and nice. Have been here already many times in the past, and will return in the future.

Love love love love love this place!!! They have a wonderful selection of artisanal popsicles with interesting flavors, they have amazing coffee, they have artisanal sodas and drinks, healthy snacks, and so much more. I really loved this place so much. I got a mango popsicle which tasted like it was actually made form real mango and not just flavored sugar water with food coloring. My husband got sour cherry and loved his as well. My friend got a banana muffin popsicle and loved it. This place was perfect after a long hike in the hot sun! Loved it!

AKA RoundUp Texas Smoked BBQ & TumbleWeed Saloon
My husband stopped here to bring home take out for dinner. He was disappointed there was no pulled pork, but that being said he opted for smoked sausage, ribs, cole slaw and beans. I LOVE bbq....but was also a little surprised there wasn't pulled pork. The sausage (mild) was excellent. Ribs were fall off the bone, but on the dry side. BBQ sauce, on the side was delicious but on the spicy side...as were the beans. Cole slaw was decent. I'd like to come back when I have time to sit, my husband said the decor was rustic...nice. For take out, food was very good. Glad there is a BBQ place in the area.

My husband loves French bistro food, so we chose this restaurant for dinner with a friend. The food was good, but our waitress kept disappearing, so it took forever to place our order, get bread, etc.
And because we had a deadline for a Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival show at Boscobel, I had to hunt down the waitress to get our check (the manager ended up taking our payment). Perhaps they were short-staffed and our waitress was filling in along with taking care of her own tables (in another room of the restaurant), but if you are in a hurry / on a deadline, you should inform them of that up front. (We neglected to do that, so we'll give them another try sometime.)
