Done with our visit to a local customer and looking for a place to eat lunch with the boyz,we stummbled upon this BBQ joint on the way back to our motel. Very friendly staff, greeted with open arms and great homestyle bbq at its best! Place was packed for lunch and so was the parking lot, thats what drew us into Scotts. All those customers meant good eats for sure! I had the bbq sampler plate and yum it was!

The food at this Dairy Queen is typical of any Dairy Queen. They do have a variety of food choices. Let's not forget the ice cream....the real reason for stopping in! Yum! I am rating it mostly on service. The staff was very friendly and helpful! The restaurant was clean. They have a large screen TV mounted high (I think most DQ's do these days) and they were playing a movie the night I was there. They had music playing so you couldn't really hear the TV.

Wanted Coctel DE Camaron, crackers were stale. So moved on to the Chile Relleno. Out came a plop of ground meat with melted cheese. Looked like dog food. Chile Relleno came out and the cheese wasn't even close to melting. Obviously they don't care what comes out of the kitchen.

Ate here this morning with my son. NOTHING BEATS A BREAKFAST AT THE GRILL! Locals chattering about local events, atmosphere feels like a family reunion each time, waitress calling people by their name, Chef Pat chit chatting with customers as well. They have perfected customer service to an art.
I usually take my 3 sons here each Saturday for breakfast. This establishment has been here and in its original location for over 70 years. This IS the best breakfast of anyplace in a 50 mile range. Their menu is surprisingly extensive and often is the case you can go off menu easily with their skilled Chef's Jason and Pat. It is the quentisential gathering place for locals as well as travellers passing through.
For breakfast I recommend "The Western fully loaded with grits and fresh link"
For lunch the burgers ate really good, but the grilled chicken on ciabatta is great.
For Dinner the steak or fried catfish ate seriously good.

A coworker recommended DGR's so I surprised my wife for dinner. Couldn't find it here on TA but we knew about where it was. Don't let the outside fool you. It fooled me....We sat right down and a waitress came right over. She made suggestions but the pizza looked so good. I don't remember the name of the pizza but it was the first one on the menu. It took some time to get our dinner but it was worth the wait. The owner came over to ensure we were well cared for and we were. This place looks like a bar and does have a bar but has a great dinner menu and decor. We will definitely be back as I can't wait to try something else on the menu.

Easily the best food in Cochran. Food is always hot, well prepared, and served quickly. Slasa and chips are good too. This place is always busy, and is an incredible value, service is usually great. You won't go away hungery. Try "polo peradillo chicken" its number 51 or 53 on the menu, an extraordinarily good chicken marinated breast, it my favorite, Fahita's are always great too. We eat there often, always pleased.

This is a real deal. COUNTRY COOKING MaMa Style. I have heard of country cooking places before but for the most part they are opening cans......NOT HERE......... I was shocked to find truly country cooking as good as mama's. Something different everyday, except fried or baked chicken everyday. It is buffett style so come hungery cause you will leave full as a tick for sure. I am not a rib eater but I ate the ribs here cause they feel right off the bone. Another day we had fried catfish and shrimp, but I cant eat seafood but had plenty of catfish and today we had dressing and beef roast......OMG...... if my mama had not passed away 16 years ago I would have thought she was in the kitchen for sure. Oh and dont worry they have true sweet tea to chase it all down with. The staff is very friendly and the young lady making drinks will come around and keep your cup topped off. Tehn when you think your done ...well it is time for the banana pudding......just like mama made..... not that quick stuff but the good old fashion way.
The down fall to it all is they are only open for lunch 11:00 til 2:00. So if you are headed south on 75 at lunch take Hwy 16 to Cochran for a good lunch cause it is worth the few miles out of the way and you will be glad you did. Cost $9.00 even so not a bad deal at all.

Other than checking to make sure you have exactly what you ordered this place is so far the most consistent place to eat in Cochran... not sure why there are two different DQ places to review cause there is only one DQ in town

After walking in the cold 10 blocks at 6am, I was warmly greeted by Miss Beth. She could serve at any 5 star restaurant in this country! My eggs, grits, bacon and toast were perfectly cooked. The coffee was fresh and Miss Beth easily and warmly brought me milk (instead of cream) without missing a beat of taking care of two other orders.

I can count on 1 hand the times this place has gotten my order right. I ask for a 1/4 pounder WITHOUT cheese and they almost always put cheese on it. Even when I'm in the drive thru and I ask them is it without cheese they'll say "yes". Then I'll get all the way home and find out it's not. Sometimes it will even have the "grill ticket" taped on it that says "no cheese" and it'll have cheese. Plus, their fries are always cold and their drinks never have enough ice. And if that's not enough, their workers are rude, crude, loud, and obnoxious.
