Previously reported closed, this restaurant is definitely open for business. We stopped for lunch on 9/9/2015. Very favorable impression. Prompt and friendly service. Excellent food. Some of the best scratch made clam chowder we've had. The patty melt was also considered excellent. Menu shows they serve breakfast until 2PM. It was clear that this is a popular stop for locals as well as tourists, like ourselves. We observed several patrons having breakfast. They seemed to be enjoying it and it looked very good. One thing that really struck us is that even though it is obviously an older property, the place is really clean. Not just superficial. Clean windows, mirrors, counters, tables, carpets. And neat and well kept. Located on Highway 101 S., between Tillamook and Neskowin, it has easy access and parking off 101, and seems to have some limited parking availability for RV's.

Clean, huge windows, very spare decor, felt cold to me. Grateful Dead theme. Cute if you're into that but we were trying to get a decent meal. I wound up with a latte that had great foam but seemingly no espresso. A simple coffee would have had more caffeine. The breakfast scramble was eggbeaters (no taste) and my roasted potatoes weren't done and had little gobs of raw in the middle of the bites. Three for three. Oh yes, the biscuits. Since it is a bakery, perhaps baked goods are where they do best...nope. My biscuits shattered to dust in my mouth. Nothing else to say.

The spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean is just the beginning of your experience. We offer Stumptown coffee served proudly by professional baristas in a vibrant, engaging environment. Stimulus offers a great selection of smoothies, teas, and locally made pastries by the Pelican Pub & Brewery, along with hot sandwiches and other lunch time treats. Oh yes, free wi-fi, too, if you need to work on your vacation or just update your Facebook. Now that sounds delicious.Stimulus is open from 6am to 6pm everyday of the year.
This is the cafe we went to for breakfast during our stay in Cape Kiwanda (as our hotel did not offer breakfast), and it's a good thing this cafe is opened at 6 am. Nothing much to mention here except that it's a pleasant place to sit down to breakfast, have your coffee and bagels and watch the typical activities in the morning with the locals.

The food prepared by the most recent owners was quite good, though not as well presented as it could be, and overpriced. I heard their breakfasts were very nice, but I didn't try them. Their fish was fresh, and caught by family members. It's too bad this place didn't make it.

Stopped by for lunch and the entire building was on stilts! It looks like they may be renovating for a more stable foundation but nothing was posted to customers onsite, on their website or here on tripadvisor. I'm assuming (and hoping) this is temporary but thought those that are making a special trip here should know it is not open. It's a great place so hopefully they can provide an update on when they will be back in business.

Neskowin Trading Company/Beach Club Bistro is a different beach experience. We carry gourmet food, wine and groceries. In our Deli we serve breakfast items like breakfast burritos, eggs, pancakes and fresh baked goods. At lunch order a fresh deli sandwich and chowder. We also make made to order take and bake pizzas. In our restaurant we serve great food in a variety of styles. Small plates such as calamari Thai style, pot stickers and cheese plates. Our entrees consist of fresh local fish and a good steak. We run nightly specials. We are a scratch restaurant trying to make most everything from scratch, we smoke our own ribs, Tri Tip and Pulled pork, make soups and breads from scratch. We have a great pasta night on Sundays and in the winters we have a locals night on Thursdays for 20% off. We're known for our specials and journey around the world for great recipes. Hawaiian, Indian and Asian to name a few. We have an in house bakery and our desserts are always fresh and hand made.
Here's the good and the bad. The good is they have almost anything you'll need including some specialized deli and gourmet items. The bad is that everything is very expensive. We usually bring most of our food from home when we are in the area, but can always rely on the Neskowin Trading Company for the things we forgot or when we need a special treat!

The six of us were Jonesing for clam chowder and we stumbled on an eclectic little gem. They have expanded their offering to renting surfing gear, pouring coffee as well as a small menu of beachside fare. We settle on bowls of delicious clam showder and an couple of bottles of wine to tide us over until dinner. A fun place, with a couple of tables out back and nice people. this is a simple no frills stop with good chowder. I can't say much more.

Stopped in on way back to Portland to see what they had. Place is tiny and adjacent to a small shop. The counter can be accessed by both the outside door as well as inside the store.
Small menu that has both breakfast and lunch as well as a wonderful selection of Tillamook Ice Cream flavors right at the counter.
Whatever you order is made at the time and the kitchen/kitchenette is right in front of you. It's fun to talk to the owner as she is preparing your meal.
Simple food, made simply, and made with great care at a reasonable price. Hard to go wrong with that.
It's definitely worth stopping in and getting some breakfast or a sandwich, and hearing what's going on in the local community.
Will definitely go again on my next visit to the coast and recommend that you do too!

If not for the people being nice I would have rated this place even lower. Service was slow, (but they are nice and polite), the prices were rediculous for what you were getting and the food regretable. I make better food from a can at home. They forgot what veggies I ordered in my omelette so they didnt put any and when it arrived it was cold. My daughters over-easy eggs were over-hard. Practically nothing was good or prepared right. I don't think any of us even finished one plate. We left hungry.

We stopped in here for lunch and immediately felt comfortable in the surroundings with friendly employees and local who said "Hi"even though we had never met before. Kind of funky surrounds with the pub feel, local pub combined with some video lottery machines, pin ball machine, t.v, etc. Pretty much informal. Now, about the food. One of us ordered the fish (cod) and chips and it was hot, not overly breaded, large portions and absolutely a taste treat. It is served with fries and a large portion of coleslaw. The other had a captain's plate which was an assortment of seafood treats including fish, shrimp, clams, oysters and scallops. It was also served with the fries and coleslaw. Both dishes were served with large portions and were filling for lunch. The server was attentive without being pushy and refilled water and answered any requests promptly. There are a couple of seating areas so that one does not need to sit in the "bar" section if that is not their choice. Parking is in a small lot or next to the building. I gave it a four star only because the restrooms were pretty basic and could have used a cleaning. We both liked having a meal here and will return in the future.
