Clayton is a town in Johnston County, North Carolina, and considered a satellite town of Raleigh. As of 2010, Clayton's population was 16,116 people. Much of that growth can be attributed to the town's close proximity to the Research Triangle area and access to major highways such as I-40, U.S. 70, and NC 42.

I found Caribbean Delight via Tripadvisor as the #1 restaurant in Clayton, NC. I wasn't disappointed. Arriving early, I was the first customer of the day, but soon after a steady stream of people flowed into the small cheery cafe. The food is very good and interesting as well - not your standard cafe fare.

In fairness, we have ordered several birthday cakes from here that have been great. On the other hand, we have also ordered lunch which was tasty but difficult to get if you try to call or want anything substituted. Also, the menu online isn't accurate. Once we got our food, it was good, but it just wasn't easy to order.

I recently visited Manning’s Restaurant for a dinner date and was pleased with the surroundings and environment as it definitely had a welcoming feeling. I ordered the Pork with grits, but wasn’t impressed. The Pork was bland with some spices. The grits tasted amazing and creamy. All in all, not a bad place. But I won’t recommend regular visits.

I am thrilled to have this wonderfully, healthy juice shop in Clayton! What a great option with all the other unhealthy places around. Tucked next to Golds Gym, you will find this gem of the shop. Juices and smoothies are made with the very freshest of ingredients - seriously...better than you can imagine fresh. They have a special wheat grass extractor and I saw the farmer delivering the wheat grass while I was there. There are many, many options, including juice cleanses. Our favorites are Beet It and the Acai Bowls<<<excellent! The staff has always been friendly and helpful. Please don't be off put by the price. You can get a cheaper smoothy from Dairy Queen across the street, but considering the quality of the ingredients, it is a steal! (about $7 each).

I went to Clayton Steakhouse with 3 other couples. The food was really good. My favorite is the salad bar that has a lot of great selections. I got the grilled chicken breast with baked potato and texas toast. My husband got the steak special they had that night and really liked it. I went to the salad bar and loaded my potato with cheese and bacon bits. Really a food meal. Of course they have wine, beer and cocktails and of course their deserts that are really good. This is not a candlelight dinner restaurant if that is what you are looking. Casual and family friendly.

4 of us wanted to try a new restaurant near us. Nice atmosphere, clean and bright. Calamari appetizer was delicious. Batter was light and seasoned well. The balsamic glaze was a good addition. Albeit it was a small portion for 4 people it was good. Order 2 if there are more than one couple. 2 of us had the tuna....delicious. The black and bleu steak was great. Salmon with pecan glaze also was good. Desserts are made there. Chocolate torte is divine and the creme brûlée good but would have been better if it was warm. All in all a great meal. Try the fried spinach!! Waitress was pleasant but seemed distracted.

Charlies BBQ and Grille The best BBQ experience in the best of a good old North Carolina tradition!
We visited Charlie’s on Friday night on the way to a High School Football playoff game. We ordered bar-b-que sandwiches and plates with several side dishes. The owner “Charlie” greets everyone that visits the restaurant, he offers a personal touch and a warm family atmosphere that is next to impossible to find nowadays. We really enjoyed our dinner, the bar-que is absolutely the best around and the side dishes, such as baked beans and sweet potatoes are outstanding. Charlie’s is a great place for lunch or dinner, we can’t wait to go by and have another meal with Charlie and the crew.

We go to Smithfields regularly after chuch. It is always good. Some of the best fried chicken you can get. I always get the BarBQue sandwich value meal. You will not go home hungry. Service is always great. Someone is walking around topping off your beverage and assisting anyway they can.

Went to the Rockin' Comet for a friend's birthday breakfast, and were pleasantly surprised! Food was great, prepared quickly and served by a great waitress. Coffee was hot and service was quick. Recommend it for a good breakfast at a reasonable price.
