Cipanas ( Indonesian pronunciation: [tʃipanas] ) is the administrative village of Cipanas District, in the northern part of the Cianjur Regency, West Java, Indonesia. It is situated in the valley of Mount Gede, 86 kilometres (53 mi) south-east of the Indonesian capital city of Jakarta. The name of the village means "hot water" or "hot spring" in Sundanese (ci, water, panas, hot), due to the presence of sulphuric hot springs in the area.

Their location was good, we can see the road curb from our table while having meal.
The food was not special with expensive price (well, it's normal on the tourist area).
We visited this place just because curious about this old restaurant.
Second visit? Hmm... maybe we won't.

We have breakfast at the restaurant last Friday (June 26). I insisted my wife to go there and convinced her that this restaurant has a very good quality of foods and beverages amongst all in Puncak area. Well, I think I'm just too sentimental because I used to visit this restaurant when I was a child with my family. We ordered Indonesian and American breakfast. And we were quite disappointed with the presentations and the tastes. I think they need to upgrade their knowledge about how to mix and match the food presentations and quality. Too bad for such a legendary restaurant in Puncak. Lucky for us we still have the joy when we tasted the pofertjes. It's still as good as it was. Sorry to say but if the restaurant cannot make any improvements in the future, it might loose all the loyal customers even though the scenery and the atmosphere there is so fantastic.

This is a discreet Chinese restaurant that serves no nonsense food. We ordered braised pork, egg omelette, pork chop, kailan, fried rice, among others, for lunch. We also ordered another omelette, the cooking style which was not listed in the menu. The portions were decent and the food outstanding. We came back in the evening to buy some takeaway. After discussing what we want with the restaurant owner and her daughter, they were able to whip up our orders - none of which was in their menu. That's was a nice touch. We would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Cipanas or Puncak.

Spatula made their own ice cream and from several flavors that I tried (peach, lychee, taro, mint, and mixed berries) they're all delicious. We also bought their apple pie and taro roll cake (bolu gulung talas), and we love it! The best taro roll cake I've ever tried. Will definitely come here again next time we visit Cipanas.

AMEN Restaurant was founded by Mr Hakim Nurdiawan and (+) Mrs Funny Lindya Hakim in 1987. Back then they started their F & B Business out of a food truck selling "fast food" chinese food dishes such as Nasi Tim (Steamed Rice with Chicken) and Bakmi Ayam (Chicken Noodle). Their unyielding nature coupled with passion and hard work led them to today where AMEN Restaurant have grown into one of the leading Chinese Food Restaurants in Cipanas-Puncak Area. We are specialized in Hakka style Chinese Food selling varieties of authentic Hakka dishes such as "Mun Tahu", Braised Pork Belly, Hakka style fried Noodle and Sauteed Deep Fried Eel with Fumak. For those who are in the area and would like to grab something light, for breakfast or even light lunch/dinner, can head down to AMEN Express - Noodle and Dim Sum which is also situated within the same location, just 100 meters behind AMEN Restaurant's main building.
We had breakfast in Amen Express before we play in Cibodas, maybe we arrived at 7AM at this place but peoples already eat there, so I'm not sure what time Amen Express open. And yes, Amen Restaurant is in front building, Amen Express is located...MoreThank you for visiting and supporting us. We are glad to enjoyed your time when dining in our restaurant. We sincerely hope to see you again soon.

The word "bakoel" literally means a rice container and "karasa" (in sundanese language) means tasteful/flavorful. And that's exactly what you will experience when you dine at our restaurant. You'll be pampered by an array of sundanese and indonesian dishes that are, not only tasty, but also authentic. Try out our famous "Nasi Liwet" or the flavorsome Oxtail Soup. How about some fresh grilled tilapia fish or the authentic sundanese salad called "karedok". We are pretty sure you will have an awesome dining experience at our place. We care about how we cook our dishes as we care about your ultimate dining satisfaction.
This location is behind Amen Restaurant, they are specializing in Indonesian-Sundanese food. I ordered Nasi Liwet (seasoned rice) and Ayam Goreng (fried chicken) and Sate Maringgi (beef satay). Love the overall meal, the restaurant ambiance. michellefranclee.comThank you for coming to Bakoel Karasa and supporting us. Your comments are very valuable to us. We are glad that you enjoyed your time when dining with us. We sincerely hope to see you again soon. Regards.

Family Restaurant, Local Taste, Etnic Interior, Cozy Place, Playground
We went here to have our lunch because many people are having their meal here, so we were attracted to try the food too. The taste is great, kangkung and gurame are nice, but we do not really like the sate kambing. Anyway, here has a good view so u can enjoy the view while having the meal.

The satay here is great. I love how it tastes and I like the fact that they dont tenderised the meat for u so everything is very natural, some pieces you bite into might be a surprise. Some could be soft and succulent, some could be a bit tough. The grilled glutinous rice cake (ketan bakar) here is awesome too. Very fluffy inside and slightly charred and crunchy outside. For me the oncom sauce is not spicy enough. The coconut on the shell I tried were not good anymore. It has some fermented taste to it and the flesh is hard to scrape. Better off drinking the free hot tea. I came here 2 days in a row!

Not much to tell except good food in a nice breezy cold air place.
Went there with family, pretty crowded at peak hour, ordering was fast and easy though. Price was reasonable with it's taste and restaurant location. They serve local, western and asian dishes but according to my taste the pasta and salad wins the competition. Be sure you are at the upper fl to be in that white painted furniture room, not the one at ground fl.

It's an old satay house that already open in Cipanas, at least 30 years ago (when I was a child). So everytime I go to Puncak, I always spend sometme to eat in here, for a memory sake.
But not just for a memory, the satay itself is delicious. They serve chicken and goat satay. Be carefull to eat goat satay, because it has a tendency to give you a higher blood pressure.
The meat is tender and juicy, while the peanut sauce is very tasty. You can also ask the sweet ketchup sauce, if you prefer that way.
There're nothing fancy about the interior and exterior of this restaurant. Please focus to the food, food and food :D.
The price isn't cheap for a local food, especially the goat satay, but it's worth it for the delicious taste and of course the memory :D.
This restaurant can be reached after the presidential palace, and very near Simpang Raya.
