The New Year's Shooters celebrate the area's German heritage by beginning each year with a customary chant and the honorary shooting of muskets. Cherryville is located approximately 30 miles (48 km) west of Charlotte and 13 miles (21 km) northwest of Gastonia.

Our State magazine featured the Shake Shop on its cover about NC's hole-in-the-wall restaurants. That drew us to this longtime Cherryville drive-in. What did we think? My wife now ranks the Lottaburger among her favorites anywhere. She puts salt on everything and said the Shake Shop lottaburger needed no salt. My regular cheeseburger was cooked perfectly, delicious and not too big or too small. The onion rings had flavor, crunch and no dripping grease! And the handmade cherry lemon Sundrop was a nice addition. Clean inside but little seating; full by 11:30 on a Saturday. Call ahead to be sure hours correct. The Facebook page has different hours. Oh, and bring cash. No cards. We'll visit again!

Great southern comfort food. I eat here most mornings. Nothing fancy just good home cooking. The prices are awesome. The lunches and dinners are great.

Black's is not what it once was ...very sad.
Called in a take-out order of a cheeseburger and hotdogs, they were busy and moving slow. After 30+ minutes they get my order together and hand me the bag of hotdogs when trying to say the hamburger was also mine the very rude gentlemen interrupts and screams at me "we've got it". The other patrons just look at me, I'm shocked, embarrassed and sadden by this outburst from a complete stranger running a business. I will never return. The menu is in the trash along with this sad encounter.

This restaurant is located in a small strip mall on the outskirts of the city of Cherryville in Cherry Hill Plaza. The restaurant is clean and the staff is very friendly. The food is as good at any larger Mexican Restaurants. My food was prepared to order and served in a timely manner. The cost is reasonable. I will be going back !

We have frequented this place every time we pass through Cherryville, (admit not too often), but after discovering this place we always enjoy. Dinning mostly on Gyros, Philly subs and an occasional baked lasagna. All are very good choices, be sure to stop in or get to go.

Excellent service and good food served fast. Cheeseburger baskets, PoorBoy, Lotta Burgers, Clubs, Hotdogs. Oh, and don't forget breakfast. Eggs to order, grits, home fries, sausage, bacon, livermush. One of my favorites are the pancakes.

We had tried the hamburger steak plate. It was very good and you get plenty of food . We actually got fries, bread and a small salad with our order. This is a popular local favorite. They can be very busy. We actually live about 15 minutes from the location. We had to call several times to just place the order. They told us about 20 minutes, but since we ordered the hamburger steak, I figured it would take a little longer. When we got there we actually had to wait even longer just due to the number of customers. There doesn't appear to be a large seating area. Just keep in mind that it can get very busy. I would go back.

If a hot lunch is what your looking for you will be at the right place. Large proportions at a fair price. Would recommend and plan to re visit.

I have eaten at this restaurant many times but today was awful. The food was good but while we were there they were painting, hammering, and doing remodeling in the kitchen. All the noise made it impossible to enjoy our meal. The painting was going on when we were seated but the loud noises started about half way through our meal.

You can't go wrong with a Pizza Buffet where they ask you what you'd like to have on your pizza. It's like ordering a custom pizza(s) and still being able to have a slice or two of someone else's pie, too. These are some of the nicest owners around. Good pizza, good value.
