Good place to eat Ukraine dishes, and the interior is also good~ Though the waitress does not speak English well, they do their best and I could feel the kindness. It may be great if there were English menu for the foreigner.

We stopped by in this tiny cosy cafe on our both ways through Chernihiv - just couldn’t give it a miss!
I’m not a huge fan of «vintage» interior, but in Abazhur it’s not burdening. The «old flat items» are placed up on the shelve under the ceiling. So the small hall - for about 6-7 small tables only - is not cluttered up. It’s no good for large groups, but is a perfect place for a solo traveller, a couple, or a bunch of friends.
The menu is not too extensive, but is enough to have a good breakfast, or a light lunch. Their pancakes are mouthwatering - we tried the ones with mushrooms, ham and spinach, with cherries, with nuts and ice-cream and with blueberries. And the hot chocolate is the real one, not the cocoa fluid some cafes would serve instead. Delicious!
Service was amasingly fast and rather warm.
The bill, by Kyiv standards, came as a pure bargain. No credit cards are accepted, cash only.
No smoking is allowed inside. Cars can be parked on the sidewalk in front of the cafe.

We were looking for somewhere to have dinner in Chernihiv, and saw this restaurant that looked very welcoming. Service was very good, even though they did not speak any English. But we had some very good food anyway, and enjoyed our meals very much. The location is very central near the sights and city centre.

My husband, our one year old daughter and I spent in this restaurant a very delicious dinner. Cozy design, perfect food, very nice waitress - one of them can speak english -, they have Ukrainian and English menü. Babies are welcome, there is a specail chair for them, but there is a no place for changing babies.

Nice place with tables inside and outside. Average but good sushi. Interesting offers several days, sometimes you can eat for 2 and pay for 1 :-) Recommended.

While staying in Chernigov, I used to go to that restaurant really often. And I suppose that this is one of the nicest restaurants I have been to. Firstly, location and appearance. "Avenue 33" is located exactly in the center of the city and looks attractive and welcoming. What's more, the atmosphere of the restaurant is really friendly and free of tension. All food is extremely tasty! Asian-food-lovers or european cuisine-eaters both will get a buzz from the menu. The restaurant is open all 24 hours a day and always ready to deliver a takeaway. So, I believe this restaurant is really worth visiting!

This place is great - not sure if it's a chain, but it has great local food and it's right off of the Red Square (the central square of Chernihiv) - warm weather brings out a patio, which is great for people watching. Definitely recommended!

Amazing meal pork medallions with grilled vegetables. The cheesecake was beyond excellent. Local Craft beers too. Try joker ale a dark IPA. Great place.
