At FATZ, we serve your favorite American fare with a delicious twist. From steaks to seafood, treat your taste buds to the flavors of FATZ.FATZ is committed to the highest standards of fresh quality food preparation with the finest of ingredients.
This is an interesting restaurant, friendly staff, but the quality of service and food can be highly erratic, from fantastic to barely adequate. You rather take your chances.
Excellent: Greek Salad (wouldn't have thought so, but fantastic!), Calabash Fried Chicken Salad, Potato Soup, some of the special seasonal drinks.
Awful: Prime Rib (unless you like thin, gray, tough shoe soles to eat), Calabash Fried Fish (an insult to Calabash! Greasy, thick coating, undercooked, thoroughly nasty).
Opinion varies: Some folks love the rolls/bread they serve - I think they are totally nasty with a vile aftertaste. Try it and make your own mind up.
All the salads I have had are good to excellent.
Lots of handicapped parking, easy access, easy to navigate inside.

We enjoyed dinner here yesterday evening. The restaurant is in two adjacent old storefronts which we thought was very charming. We were very welcomely greeted. The staff was very impressive and very friendly. One of the owners chatted briefly about the history of their restaurant since we had arrived at a slower paced time. I can't speak about every item on the menu but the ribs were delicious. They were very tender. The sauce ( which they all were tight lipped about the recipe) was sweet with the perfect amount of spice. I sampled the country fried steak and mashed potatoes. That was equally as good. But, since I have a sweet tooth, the best was yet to come. The desserts are excellent. They offer whole cakes for sale in the glass case as you enter or by the slice. Frozen desserts are also available to purchase to take with you. I do not have enough good things to say about this restaurant. If you try it and feel otherwise I would suggest you speak with the owner. My impression is they truly care about your experience there.

My family was looking for a place in Cheraw to meet for lunch. We had some coming from the East and some coming from the West. We settled on Hooks and are glad we did. Great bar-be-que, but also country style steak, and baked spaghetti. Wonderful garden fresh vegetables. Lima's, fried ocra, hush puppies, slaw, macaroni and cheese. On and on. Very attentive service and nice people. We had a great Christmas meal with family and will go back every chance we get!

Stopped by along way from Myrtle Beach to Charlotte, our whole group agreed this was the best meal of the week. Sunday is just buffet and wow was it good. Best fried chicken, a bold statement down South but you'll be seriously challenged to find better. Same for fried fish, and banana pudding was just outstanding. And all for an amazing price. Friendly service, clean local place obviously popular in the area. You need to experience this local gem.

Nice local place. Went in and sat at the bar, felt comfortable and bartender was very friendly. Dinner was good, especially the salad.

I was impressed with the cleanliness of this restaurant, from the dining area to the restrooms, everything was very clean! The food was consistent with the chain. They have a quirky drink dispenser. I thought I was getting a Dr. Pepper and it dispensed water instead. Just a tad too hi-tech.

Brought the whole gang in and had a great time even with antsy children. The service was great and the entire staff very friendly! The food was wonderful. Been avoiding this chain lately but the Bennettsville Pizza Hut has rebuilt my confidence.

Actually located on Hwy 9 as you enter Cheraw South Carolina and in the same mall as the Walmart is a real delight. This is a franchise of a well established chain (Andy's in N.C.) but operated locally by a wonderful young couple who make sure nothing leaves the kitchen that isn't just right. The decor is 50's and they make no pretense of cooking nouvelle cuisine and thank god they don't because sometimes you just want a great burger and fries without wasabi, seared foie gras, or Lup Cheong Sausage (you get the idea...it's not Bachii Burger). The place is immaculate with smiling staff who make you think you woke up in the middle of "American Graffiti". The shakes are the real deal and if you want to ease up on the meat, there are sufficient salads available to keep you happy. Definitely a happening place!

Did a drive through breakfast. Service was fast and accurate, relatively pleasant. Biscuit was tough. Who makes tough biscuits? Flavor was ok, but you don't expect to have to tear into a biscuit....
