We had an excellent dinner here. The service was very good; the ambiance, on the stark side, is fine. Their speciality is fish with whitefish, walleyes and perch coming a choice of 4 different sauces. One of us had the house special whitefish with their special sauce; the other of us had perch Robinson (If I remember correctly). Both were very good. They know how to cook fish! And, the stewed tomatoes - their house speciality - were tasty. Of all the fine places to eat in Charlevoix, this one stands out.

We are a creperie, cafe, and French inspired bakery making small batches of pastries, croissants and other baked goods. In the winter we offer a variety of carry-out dinners, soups, as well as weekly cooking classes.
I was craving quiche, they had it and it was wonderful! They also make their own ice cream, and had Sweet Water Lavender ice cream. I had one tiny taste, but it was the most amazingly wonderful ice cream I'd ever tasted-tasted exactly how lavender smells! If you love ice cream and love lavender, this ice cream is a must!!

Fresh house made donuts, coffee and tea
The mix of fresh donuts and coffee make this a must stop in Charlevoix! Perfect for meeting up with friends, getting work done on your laptop, or just chilling with your coffee/tea and a good book, this comfortable and unique coffee shop is a welcome addition to the downtown scene. Comfortable, friendly and truly caring staff—my kids LOVED the mini donuts...what a treat!

Smoke on the Water a BBQ joint. We slow-smoke our meats with various fruit woods and maple wood in our smoker that sits right outside the restaurant. We pride ourselves in serving made-from-scratch food, including our own Challah bread used in our Drunken French Toast. We deliver to all downtown businesses and the marina. We are located next to Hoffman Park which overlooks the channel and bridge.
A nice hole in the wall place serving breakfast and bbq.
I came for the Dutch Baby pancake with an Apple Bourbon Sauce. However another place where they don't update their online menu. Online menu states Dutch Baby's on Saturday and Sunday only. I came on Sunday. Turns out they have to have the oven on too high which makes it too hot. It was only 65. So now they only do it as an occasional special. I do give some credit here the owner stated that if I came back the next sunday he'd see to getting that as the special. However I was going home the next day, so no dice.
I ended up ordering their French Toast with Canadian Bacon. Plus I ordered some scrambled eggs.
This is usually were I'd then describe the food. However they somehow lost my order and I had to reorder. This would normally be a killing blow to my review. However they brought me out some Apple Bourbon Bread, Outstanding. Then some Apple Pie, Outstanding. Plus a discount on my bill. All is forgiven.
Finally the food arrived. The Drunken French Toasted is marinated over night in champagne. It is very decadent and very rich. It is also very good. The size is very generous. Between size and richness there is no way I could eat more than one slice. The Canadian bacon was very good. The scrambled eggs though now they were the star. They may have been the best eggs I've ever had. Sooo good.
My waitress was amazing, even though my order was lost. She has an amazing, upbeat, and beautiful attitude. One of my favorite waitress of all time.
Overall 4 stars. As is my standard they lose a full star for failure to keep website current. Loss of half a star for loss of order. Full star added for outstanding food. Which brings it to 4 1/2. Not willing to give 5 so it's a 4. Would I return? Oh heck yes. For the breakfast and to try bbq.

My wife and I ate at Scovies on high recommendation from a friend. We weren't disappointed. It was delicious, friendly and all around good experience. Good selection not to many things though that you get over whelmed. All freshly made and delicious. Only negative I can see though is they aren't open for dinner unless you are having dinner very early. I believe they close at 5PM even in the summer.

Great location with better then average food with good service tonight. We have eaten here before and enjoyed it but we feel it is over priced for the food.

We stopped in the beautiful little town on our drive to Traverse City. Two local ladies realized we were visiting and offered to help us. We were looking for a place to eat lunch. They recommended the Villager Pub and the white fish sandwich. We followed their advice.
We were glad that we tried the white fish, but we were surprised to see that they serve the fish with the skin still on. We are not used to this, as the skin has a very strong flavor that overpowers the fish.

The Bridge Street Tap Room is a craft beer haven located in beautiful downtown Charlevoix. Overlooking Round Lake, the Tap Room offers an assortment of Michigan craft beer and hard cider, as well as a carefully selected wine and spirits portfolio. The kitchen offers a variety of small plates highlighting many locally sourced ingredients and Michigan-made products. So grab a cold draft beer, some food to share with friends, and let the Bridge Street Tap Room deliver a memorable Northern Michigan experience.
Advice: Don't get wine here (I learned the hard way).
More advice: Order the Grilled Mac n Cheese Sandwich.
There is limited seating so plan for a wait during busy months. Went for dinner one evening. Waitress said it would be a 35 minute wait, however we were seated in 15 minutes. They will send you a text when it's your time to be seated so you can walk around town while you wait (loved that).
Grilled Mac n Cheese was delicious. Nan pizza was small, I would recommend that as an appetizer not a dinner meal. My husband tried to order the pork chop but they were out. He ordered the brisket sandwich and wasn't impressed.
Beer Menu Changes Daily - Fun to Read the Descriptions.
Staff was awesome, not sure what other reviewers are talking about. Every time a staff member walked by they would ask if we needed anything, they would refill our glasses, or they would clear things off the table. We went twice while on vacation and had great service both times.

Going to a sophisticated summer resort like Charlevoix usually means you either eat at McDonalds or pay for overpriced food if you would like a more elegant dinner. Have great food and don't pay through the nose. A special dinner menu for $48 FOR TWO!! A bottle of wine, salad, dessert and a selection of several main entrees top off a fine dining experience here. You can't beat that in the summer at a resort city.

This was our first time in Charlevoix and the Landing Resaurant. We had about a half hour wait to get seated outside, so we just walked around the docks checking out the various boats. Once seated our server was outstanding. The meal was perfect! I loved my veggie burger and my dining mates enjoyed the Asian Chicken Bowl, Fish Sandwich and burger. THe fries were very yummy!!! The kids were especially happy with dessert: the ice cream sandwiches. We were also pleased that our meal did not break the bank. The food was very reasonable, especially considering the lovely setting right on the water. We will definitely be back should we head to Charlevoix again.
