We had signed up for the bodega tour and wine tasting but showed up late and missed the tour and tasting. Nicolas was incredibly hospitable, personally showing us around the entire facility and having us try some wines, and refusing to accept any money from us. Excellent service and terrific wines..

We recently stayed at the hotel and ate dinner there twice. One night we ate with friends in the small basement wine cellar. They took great care to make sure this was a special evening for all of us. The steak was one of the...MoreThanks so much for your nice comment in Trip Advisor! Open to Tuesday from Saturday at night.Abrimos de Martes a Sabados por la noche.
Visited this country restaurant based on a recommendation and am now recommending it for others. My wife and I had the Tasting Menu and were not disappointed. Both said menu and the good selection of wines are moderately priced. Service was attentive, but not overbearing. Our comments echo that of others in stating that the rooms are a bit 'stark' and the music did not seem to come out of the speakers in our room. Otherwise a very good experience for the dollars expended.

Restaurant quiet when we arrived and staff were good and efficient. Our meals were awful however, the only decent part was the bread basket. Lamb was stringy and tasted of nothing with a thick glutenous gravy covering everything. Veal again was unidentifiable and too overcooked to cut, covered in a mountain of melted cheese. Truly awful, we left pretty much three quarters of both meals, and the waiter just cleared the plates without even a query. We left feeling hungry and ripped off, not cheap but we couldn't be bothered to create a fuss.

Surrounded by vineyards, this old house was a perfect spot to welcome 2014.
Tables were set in a beautiful patio. Food was very good, and so was the service. Appetizers stole the show: there were shrimps cocktails and cold cuts, caprese salad on a stick, and many more. The main dish was a huge sirloin steak, a little overcooked but very tasty. The wine was a young Malbec from Foster Winery, quite right for the warm weather.
Over all, a very good dining experience.

I'm a savvy world traveller and food connoceur. These people know what they are doing! It's like being in any restaurant in Peru when you taste their food. I'd rather say like Peruvian homemade food with the distinction of a restaurant. I had the chance to meet the Cheff. Alicia and SHE is Peruvian. No reason for further explanations. You can have a REAL sense of Peruvian food in Mendoza. Servings where a delight in colour and taste. You can't miss Pulpo Buenaso, their whole octopus dish or their Ceviche. My vegetarian friend had Vegetarian Chaufa Rice and she said it was absolutlely scrumptious. You get your money worth because servings are large. Friendly atmospehere and the waiting time reasonable since everything is made at order.

Based on the reviews we were excited about our meal at El Mercadito. The atmosphere was cool, with great music (English and Spanish songs), a large wooden patio with patio lights hanging from a large central tree.
Our servers were friendly enough, and were patient with us given our limited Spanish. Unfortunately they got my salad wrong (I pointed at the menu to make sure it was the right one - I was given shrimp instead of smoked salmon) and my wife did not like her salad much either.
We ordered mixed drinks, which didn’t arrive until 25 minutes after we ordered. This was a bit puzzling as there weren’t many customers in the restaurant, and there seemed to be enough staff.
I don’t know if this was maybe an off-night for the restaurant? Other reviews seem to have had more positive experiences than we did.

We just happened to walk past this restaurant and thought to try the fixed price meal. Staff were extremely welcoming and attentive without being in any way overbearing. You can have a meat meal or other (our Spanish limited so not sure what the other was). Anyway the meat was grilled to perfection and brought to the table and carved and put on your plate. We could not eat all the offerings but what we ate was great. Also a very very large variety of salads to go with your meat. Freshly cooked beetroot that was delicious, for those that this vegetable. Following all the meats and salads there was a dessert choice and coffee or champagne. Definitely worth a visit but do not eat anything after breakfast till you get to the restaurant. Opens at 9pm at night for dinner.
