My husband and I were enjoying going to places to eat during restaurant week in Smithfield when we stopped at this waterfront location. Located at a marina next to the Rescue bridge this little Jimmy Buffet style restaurant is a wonderful place to get great food. We were seated at a table with water views. The table cloth had a paper runner and bench seating. Some seating at the bar and a few tables with wicker woven chairs. The service was good and we ordered crab soup that was creamy and thick with crab. Delicious! Then we had the shrimp basket with side. The 10 shrimp were large, fresh, lightly fried and great. I had onion rings that were great and my husband had fries. The dessert was real key lime pie that was tart and perfect to finish off our meal. Cute inside. We liked it so much we went back the next day and I changed my appetizer to a salad and side to handmade potato salad and dessert to sundae just to try more selections. Everything met the taste test! Prices on regular menu higher but lots of great food and worth it. We will go again and take friends to this little piece of paradise! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Hours vary for lunch during the week.

Stopped by to pick up a dozen donuts for a meeting on a Saturday morning. There was a line of people waiting to get the fresh goods. They had a nice selection of standard and more creative concoctions, They offer both glazed and cake donuts to please the deeply divided factions among donut lovers. My only regret was only getting three of the "squealers" maple glazed with chunks of bacon. They got scarfed up by the others at the meeting. Next time I'm putting one aside for me.

Fresh made donuts. Not a chain. Cute exterior of building. Open 5a-2p! Get here early before the donuts sell out!
Excellent and friendly staff - Amazing Donuts - Love the Chocolate - Maple Bacon is excellent also, but keep the chocolate theme.Ahh another chocolate lover!! Thank you for the kind words on the staff and for eating donuts! We will definitely keep lots of both, bacon and chocolate! Hurry back! Sincerely, Reeva Luecke

In the country area that I live, this place is consistent. The staff is always friendly, my orders are right mostly, and they have some good food and smoothies. It is no Jamba Juice, but it certainly meets my needs.

Before traveling across the James River Bridge to Newport News I stopped at the Eagle Harbor Shopping Center at this restaurant location. There is a outside sitting area and half the restaurant is a bar/eating sitting area and the other booths and tables. They are divided with a wall so the restaurant area is quiet. There was a table of six workmen eating and a few other tables. I was greeted and seated quickly and the service was great. I ordered the chicken fajita and diet coke. They brought chips and salsa right away. The salsa didn't have much in it but had good flavor. The fajita came with rice salad and beans (big meal). The fajita was fresh hot and very good! Service was great and the host came by and asked how things were. This is a good stop but I would have liked to see the floor cleaned better as the workers left mud under the table that was not cleaned after the table was cleaned. However, everything else was great and I would go again. Total cost $15.62 plus tip.

Wharf Hill Brewing Company brings satisfying food, craft beer, wine, and mixed beverages to people looking for a comfortable small-town brewpub. The bar, dining room, and event space occupy the first floor of the 1906 Elk's Lodge building. All of the interior woodwork is from 1906 or earlier, salvaged material sourced from historic local buildings. A truly unique place. Come see us!
Wharf Hill Brewing Company is in beautiful historic area of Smithfield. The restaurant staff was lovely and accommodating. We were told they didn’t accept reservations on Fridays and we expected to wait. We waited about 30 minutes for a table for 2. During the wait the staff offered to serve us cocktails. Our waitress was so sweet. The food was amazing. I’d recommend the mesquite chicken. Parking is extremely limited so you may have to walk about a block. Enjoy!

We were enjoying a walk downtown on Main Street and stopped at this popular location for lunch. Seating on each end of the restaurant was packed. We could either sit outside of at the bar. We sat at the bar and watched the chef and staff make the food. They told us we could wait for a table. We would sit at a table next time as bar crowded and in walkway area. I also looked at the local photos of Smithfield and shopped in the middle area between the seating areas. I had the Pagan Cuban with the Smithfield ham sliced thin and BBQ, cheese and pickles and mac and cheese with bacon. Sandwich very good. My husband had the special that was the spicy chicken sandwich with bacon, cheese, lettuce and tomato and sweet potato fries. Sandwich good and fries with alot of potato flavor. Coffee is great! Service good. Prices moderate. Will go again.

My daughter and I stopped in for dinner hoping this place would be good. We were not dissapointed! I had the st louis style pulled pork sandwich and fries and she had the pulled chicken sandwich. Mine was better, we both agreed. The fries are great too. I liked the quick and friendly service. The hushpuppies would be better if honey butter was available.

While walking through downtown Smithfield we stopped at this location. Setup like an old soda fountain with booths, red and white strip awnings over counter with stools and pictures of area on paneled walls. Four of us decided on ice cream even though they have sandwiches also. I had a waffle cone of strawberry, my husband had salted caramel chocolate chip along with a cousin and our other cousin had rainbow sherbet and chocolate. The last combo sounds strange but this man has chocolate with everything! I love the old field and the ice cream is good. Very popular with inside and outside seating. Would recommend.

Had dinner at this fine “country” inn and was not disappointed. The food was good as was the service. We ate in the main dining but there is also a very nice bar that you can it at.
