Grange Cafe

Reviewed By Beenthere1842 - Port Orchard, Washington

We had been really excited about trying The Grange for Brunch with our Family. We heard it was a bit pricey but supposedly worth it...NOT for us!
VEGGIE EGGS BENEDICT($14.25) I recognized the slivers of onion, found ONE piece of spinach on each delicious biscuit and a few short slices of red bell pepper; could not find the tomato; eggs cooked through to a soft boiled texture...so there was none of that ooey, gooey wonderfulness dripping onto the veggies and biscuit. Nice sauce, although thinking it wasn't really hollandaise. Plenty of delicious fried diced potatoes!
JOE'S SCRAMBLE($14.25) more like a plate of potatoes with a side scoop of meat mixture. The diner was still hungry and tired of potatoes.(ate some hamburger w bun from another's plate)
HAMBURGER w BACON (about $14) large portion, VERY TASTY. Two of the three pieces of bacon were delicious; the third was under cooked...flabby fat.
JUICE ($3.50): out of Orange juice (and restaurant still had a couple of hours to go); had apple juice instead at $3.50 for a short glass.
EGGS (2 for $4.00): asked for scrambled; eggs might have been scrambled in bowl during preparation but were definitely just fried and by then the yolk had been destroyed...FLATTER than pancakes, almost translucent and dry.
Our Server was delightful. So why didn't we say anything? We had already waited a long time to be seated and served. Each guest tried to be "polite" as we were being "treated" by one of the diners. Later, each of us shared our disappointment.
We wish the Grange well and hope they can get up to the standard they used to have.
In the meantime, we will dine elsewhere in Duvall.

The Attic at Salish Lodge & Spa

Come hang out with us in The Attic. Casual and comfortable at its best, featuring a wood-fired pizza oven, furniture to relax in and a completely updated bar offering our Pike Hive Five Hopped Honey Ale produced by The Pike Brewing Company, Salish Honey Flavored Vodka and private label wines. Our menu features wood-fired pizzas and sandwiches hand crafted using house-made mozzarella and other fresh cheeses. The Attic is a must-see... And taste.

The entire staff at the Salish Lodge should be commended on their superior customer service. We were there with my Mom who requires a mobility scooter to get around. We pulled up to the valet parking (even though it was full) and was told that they have complimentary valet parking for handicapped. I opened the back of my SUV to get her scooter out, and the valet attendants all rushed to get it out, and had it assembled before I knew what was happening! Amazing! (Most valets usually just stand there and watch me). We made it inside and was told that the main elevator was down for renovation but was was very happy to escort us through the service elevator, apologizing all the way for the inconvenience. Once upstairs we were greeted immediately and off to a table. A window table became available a few minutes later and they again were more than happy to move us to the window table.

The meal was excellent as well. We were there for lunch (not sure if they have a separate dinner menu). My sister and I chose to split a Caesar salad and the Hawaiian pizza. There was plenty of food, in fact had to take half the pizza home. But the pizza was excellent! There was fresh grilled pineapple (not canned) and a hint of their local honey(different but amazing). All on a crunchy thin crust. Best pizza ever! My Mom opted for the pork belly tomato sandwich. Although I didn’t taste it, it looked equally amazing. All capped excellent service and understanding by the staff.

My only complain with the lodge is the accessibility issue. The hallways are tight. The bathrooms, although they have bars, they do not have the raised toilets. I’m hoping they can address this with their current renovations. When I called to make sure there was an elevator to get her up to the Attic, I was told about the service elevator, but they did not tell me about the complimentary valet parking. I found out after we parked across the street, took the bridge over, and she couldn’t get down to the lodge because the accessible ramp was closed. Other thank that we had a great experience!

Montalcino Ristorante Italiano

Reviewed By Harshal V - Nuremberg, Germany

Was very impressed with the quality of Italian food and the serving sizes are consistent with Italian family restaurants. Definitely need to make reservations before as the restaurant was full on a Thursday night.
We had a business dinner here and they have a section for a bigger group (8 people). You receive a complimentary portion of freshly baked bread with balsamic drizzled over which lays the base for a good meal. We started with an appetizer sampler which was delicious and quite big that we could have stopped there. For my main course I got a lobster tail with pasta in a saffron creamy sauce which was absolutely scrumptious. There was a good amount of saffron in the sauce, you wouldn't realise it's the most expensive resource in the world, thigh want overpowering the dish. Needless to say I finished all of it
Unfortunately didn't have space for dinner which was ok as the main meal was worth it. Left satisfied and slept quite well.

Sammamish cafe

We went in the middle of the afternoon mid week so it was fairly quiet. The menu is all classic comfort food in generous portions.

The space itself is booth style with a fireplace at one end of the room.
It’s a very relaxing environment with friendly staff and great food.

What more can you ask for?

We like the Redmond Village Square café and now but I know that these are sister businesses, we will come here again as well. They have a great formula and it seems to be repeated nicely here.

I decided to stop in and have breakfast. A wide variety of breakfast items. I had the chicken fried steak. It wasn't the best I've had, but good. The service was a little slow, but not terrible. I f I'm passing thru again I might stop there and try something else. The Joe's special looked good.

The Tortilla Soup is delicious. I've had it at other Ixtapa Restaurants, and it's definitely the best at this location. I usually get it 'To Go' at lunch. The container keeps is warm for awhile. It comes with tortilla strips, slice of lime, Tortilla chips and salsa. It's about $10--a dollar or so more at the dinner hours. Call at least 20 minutes ahead of time for take out.

My friend brought me here for my 50th birthday celebration. While I was disappointed that the tradition of a tableside hot chocolate bar had long been abandoned, I was delighted with their "honey from heaven" tradition. Apparently, there are 12-13 bee hives on the property, and the lodge actually generates its own honey. So, they train their waiters/waitresses to use a honey spoon, collect the honey, hold the spoon way up high (from heaven) and have it drop precisely on their homemade buttermilk biscuits. Also, despite not having a hot chocolate bar, I highly recommend the hot chocolate...it's heavenly too!

Pine Lake Ale House

Reviewed By Billyjoe52 - Anaheim, California

This is a nice little sports bar with a terrific selection of beers. The food is pretty much your standard selection for bar food but still it was quite good. The craft beer selection was also good providing a great west coast selection of beers. The service was great and quite helpful in making selections.
