The Bean Inn was born in 2003 and its reputation has grown steadily throughout the years. The restaurant is a popular choice with both tourists and locals and offers a warm intimate setting spread over 3 small dining rooms displaying local art. Our aim in the restaurant is to offer you some of the tastiest vegetarian and vegan dishes from around the world. Bringing you the best flavours means using the best quality ingredients. We therefore use local, organic and seasonal produce whenever possible. We are members of the Vegetarian Society's Food & Drinks Guild. This means that all of the ingredients that we use have been approved by The Vegetarian Society.
Spent a very relaxing few hours dining and a good bottle of wine the food was very good well put together and very tasty i had the curry with lots of trimmings my partner had the bourguignon and loved it, cheese board and the chocolate mud cake to finish. Yum Yum.
Everything was presented well and the young waitress was very attentive.
I'm a vegetarian an find it difficult sometimes finding somewhere where the food is to my liking.
We will be back.

French inspired menu, where fine dining has never been so casual! Finest locally sourced ingredients.
We enjoyed a wonderful gastronomic meal again this year. The service was second to none with the staff in fancy dress, the food was as always superb and excellent value for money. Atmosphere was lovely with everyone enjoying the food and ambience. Obviously you would have to book for such an occasion as New Year's Eve but you could always chance they could squeeze you in on any other night! The chef is obviously very experienced and really does want his diners leaving feeling satisfied and having had value for money. A truly lovely evening.

We visited this restaurant on a snowy Thursday night, when most of St Ives was closed. The Thai waitress was wonderful- friendly and a credit to the restaurant. We had the chicken salad and the quasadilla- they were fabulous, really fresh and tasty. The churros were the best i had ever had!! We would definately return, and recommend to anyone!

Porthmeor Beach Café Bar is open daily from Easter to November and serving food from 9:00am to 9:30pm. With Australian chef Cameron Jennings at the helm, breakfasts are renowned and our tapas menu has an acclaimed reputation. Full drinks license so come and sip champagne on our Terrace and watch the sun go down.
This cafe is in such a lovely place looking out over Porthmeor. I’ve never eaten here but my boyfriend and I visited for a hot chocolate to warm up. It’s always busy in there but we were lucky enough to get a table! We enjoyed our visit there but the reason I’ve given it 4 stars is because it did take a long time to receive our order especially for just two drinks.

Lovely location in the harbour, great views across & a menu encompassing pasta, pizza, seafood, so everyone can choose a favourite. The seafood dishes are especially good, served piping hot, well presented on appropriate shaped plates & dishes. Yum

Becks has expanded into a restaurant with bar and lounge area to complement the still thriving take-away. The restaurant area itself seats over 100 people. Becks does not take Reservations, although notification of parties over 9 people is recommended. The main selling point and one of the major credentials is that Becks offer gluten free options. All types of fish (Cod, Haddock, Hake, Plaice), scampi and pizzas are available with this option. For customers choosing to sit in the restaurant there is also a range of desserts on offer that are gluten free. Becks is the only fish and chip shop in a 6 mile radius that offer gluten free products.
There is a reason why the queue is outside the door and heading in to the car park on a Friday night and this is because Becks serves the best fish and chips in the area. We have only ever had takeaways but this is a regular Friday night treat when we are in the area. Good value and portions are large.

A small, cosy cafe in the centre of St. Ives with lovely, helpful staff. I can't eat sandwiches because of the yeast, but as if by magic, a yummy veggie wrap appeared and my husband had a very tasty chunky Sandwich. Will definitely pop in again.

Popped in and braved the weather and were not disappointed. Some of the best tapas we’ve had, good atmosphere but book in advance I should as filled up quick and early! Great service from the young lady too with a substantial menu. Newly refurbished too....MoreThank you for your review..and braving the grim weather! Hope to see you again.
