This visit was on a Sunday afternoon, only one table of six in the dining area so I figured we beat the dinner rush so service would be quick. I was wrong, they were not on their game. Service was slow, the stuffed mushroom appetizer was not cooked throughly, the soda was flat and the chicken florentine was watery. Two of us asked for refill drinks when the meals finally were delivered and all of us completed our meals and had to ask for the bill and we never got the drinks. Not the best experience on my wife’s birthday. On the bright side the two lasagna plates were good and my son liked his stuffed shells.

We were sad to see that the eatery was closed during our recent visit to Eagle Bridge. It used to have that home time feel and use to enjoy the specials. The building was already being converted to a garage like structure so I think the future is dime for any return in that location.

Benson's Dairy Bar reminds me of a vintage 1950's eatery, both inside and out. The owners and wait staff are friendly. The menu is diverse and reasonable....and very good! Two of us had liver, bacon and onions ($12.99) and two had the fresh roasted Turkey dinner ($10.99.) Almost the best liver, bacon and onions I've ever had. The Turkey dinner was a tad salty (for someone who doesn't use salt at all) but overall it was proclaimed tasty. The dinners came with excellent bread, a choice of starch and vegetables. One person had strawberry shortcake for dessert; another had the tapioca pudding. All in all, a pleasant meal and, yes, we would go back again.

Every time we come here, we are not disappointed. DH says the pancakes are to die for: a short stack absolutely huge, and they use real maple syrup. Every time I have egg dishes, they are excellent. Delicious breakfast all around
However....I do have a suggestion for the kitchen help: wrap to-go sandwiches in foil or saran wrap please! While we were eating breakfast, we ordered a Turkey sandwich to go, obviously to be consumed later in the day. Imagine my shock upon opening the bag to find said sandwich plopped in the bag with a paper towel placed on top!! Hello!! What were they thinking??? (not thinking, obviously) The bread was already stale and the contents were spilling out into the bag. A complete was of about $10 as well as a disappointment.
I hope the owner/manager is reading this and will rectify it for future take-outs.
We'll be back....just won't take a chance on take-out.

The Cambridge Diner is now called the Country Girls. I love this place. It’s my go to place for a quick meal outside the house. They are warm and friendly there. You can get all sort of comfort food. My favorite is the spinach, mushroom, cheese omelet. This the kind of place where they remember what you like to eat. They bring you a cup of coffee as soon as you sit down. Its standard diner food. They serve breakfast and lunch only. Many people love the marbled rye toast.

Stewart's is actually a convenience store and gas station (they have free air which is hard to find) If you are ever anywhere in the northeast, get Stewart's ice cream. It's BLISS! The rest of the store is average.

We are a small independent bakery and cafe located in rural upstate NY. We scratch bake all of our products, cook each meal to order, use produce from our own organic farm and other local organic farmers and producers. We serve only the highest quality products we can find and offer wood-fired pizza and live, local music each week.
Such a shame, so much potential. Extremely unfriendly staff, no a/c, take out orders usually packed incorrectly. Workers wandering around aimlessly, they will ignore customers standing at the counter or look at them with a surly expression. Surprised they've lasted this long, I suppose it's because the food is actually good.

Had breakfast here with about 6 family members the morning of my son's wedding. Everyone was pleased. They bake at least several of their breads (get the raisin toast). Homemade preserves served along side the toast. Eggs were good. Prices reasonable and service friendly and efficient.

A family owned and operated restaurant that has been around for over 35 years. My family and I have been eating there for 16 of those years. Need I say more. overlooking Schoolhouse pond, large menu, hardworking owners.

Hand down, the best (and friendliest) diner around! I would be hard-pressed to chose a single favorite item, everything I have ordered has been delicious. The atmosphere is homey and comfortable, the staff is kind and efficient, and the food reminds me of my Grandma's cooking. Oh yeah... and Kelsie's holiday costumes are the meringue on the pie!
