Nora's is pretty far out in the middle of nowhere, but we eat there regularly when visiting my brother who lives nearby. Their breakfast is the best around.... super! Plain, high-quality food, with ample servings. Great home fries and hash browns; perfect bacon. Friendly staff and lots of easy-going regulars frequenting the place. Their Friday fish is also excellent.

For 15 years I have been hearing GREAT things about fireside food and shows- this was NOT at all my experience. Food was so- so and show was so-so. But really was troublesome was the not so nice waitress and barely acceptable service. The waitress was short, unfriendly and even borderline yelling at my aunt that the meal includes salad and she HAD to take it even though she didn't want. The soup and salad was DELICIOUS, the chicken was dry and vegetables not flavored. We saw other tables have staff sing happy birthday- when we asked to have a candles to sing for my dad ( not that the waitress bothered to ask if we were there for any occasion) she brought the cake out and ran. So- i will never return, i grew up in NY and never had service this bad, definitely not the wisconsin norm, what a bummer.

The owners have clearly thought this place out and have some experience planning great spaces. I was floored when I walked in at the ambiance and the attention to detail. This cafe is a local treasure. The food is all excellent, great price, and mostly healthy from what I could tell. Which is a good thing, because they have fantastic coffee and a HUGE beer selection to complement anything. It's an awesome place to chill with a friend, have a group lunch, stop after a ride, or even rent out the meeting space with catering for your offsite meetings. Super cool place and I will definitely be back. My sandwich was awesome.

We live about 10 to 15 minutes away from Lake Mills and make it a point to stop here a few times every summer. Sadly, we don’t get here more often, as it’s not in a direction that we normally travel, otherwise we’d be here much more!
The sandwiches are fantastic! The bread is always fresh, and there are good amounts of all the ingredients. They’re always made when you order, so it takes a bit longer, but the wait is worth it. Each sandwich comes with it’s own special set of toppings, as well as some standard toppings, so be sure to read the menu description carefully to make sure you order it how you want it. Omissions and additions have never been a problem for us, even for my sometimes picky-eater kids.
The ice cream is absolutely delicious! They have around 15 to 20 different flavors (rough estimate), and we have yet to find one that isn’t great! My favorite is the Fat Elvis, and last night I converted my oldest daughter to that flavor, as well! My wife loves the Birthday Cake flavor, and my younger daughter can’t get enough of the Blue Moon! Our two year old boy will eat anything, so long as it’s ice cream.
We’ve never had the pizza, but, having working in a pizza restaurant for nearly 10 years when I was younger, it certainly looks good and like they’re know what they’re doing.
As some other reviewers have noted, the service is a little slow at times, but while that’s the case, I’ve never seen that to be for any reason other than they’re busy. The staff is always friendly and busy, working as quickly as they can to get the food prepared and out to the customers. To me, the wait is worth it.
They have a decently sized dining area, with high and low, "timber" style tables, and some nice nature themed murals on the walls. They also do a good amount of carry-out business. They also have kids sizes of sandwiches and ice cream.

We stopped for dinner on a Thursday night. I had an excellent Mushroom-Swiss burger. The burger was very flavorful. My husband had the brisket dinner. He meant to order the brisket sandwich, but not realizing that there was both a brisket sandwich and entree (he didn't look any farther on the menu), he didn't say the word sandwich when ordering. He said it was very good and he may have to go back soon to compare the sandwich. The draft beer selection was interesting - breweries we were familiar with, but not necessarily the most popular beers from those breweries. Service was friendly. Our server kept our water glasses full, which is always a plus. The restaurant is in an old historic building and is very attractive. We chose to sit at a high top table in the bar rather than in the dining room. Our only complaint is that the stools don't have backs, so they weren't very comfortable.

I have this a 5 because the pizza was amazing. This place has old beer stuff on wall. The pizza are rectangular and fire oven. So good!!! Waitress was so good and friendly. When we come back to ride bikes next year-we will be back.

This place is off the beaten path but so worth it. The people who own it are quite hospitable and are willing to socialize unlike some places in the big city. Highly recommend the bloody mary. You will get not just a good sized glass (24oz?) but you will have a "salad" that has it all. At last count, it was 16 different veggies and fixings. The food is good too. Recommend any of the burgers. They are done to order but, again, you will get a little bit of the small town wit with it as well. As I say, " It is the experience as well as the food that makes a place special."

This was our first stop on a motorcycle ride up north. Great little dive bar. Tiny mens room lol. Bartender was nice and pleasant. She was doing everything-bartending, cooking, and answering the phone. Great bloody mary. They have shake of the day, as well as another dice game. It's a homemade wood box that spins the 10 dice inside. You can win all kinds of things with different dice combos. I've never seen anything like it, but LOVED it! Will stop there again.
