This would have been called decades ago "a whole in the wall" kinda place. Family-owned (prefer over franchised stores) and great variety of companions to coffee. We visited friends who took us there and for late morning snack. Never had blueberry or pineapple fritters but still went with my favorite: apple.
Can't go wrong at Daddy O's.

Good Mexican food, served efficiently, they put baskets of chips and salsa on the table everything was very satisfactory here the only thing was they had no guacamole, which I could not believe it! A Mexican restaurant without guacamole. Otherwise everything else was very satisfactory.

Decided to go for dinner and dessert. Ordered chicken strip and cheese curds. They brought to my table and the chicken was cold and tough and they fried the cheese curds too long and they exploded. My friend ordered a chicken salad and the chicken was cold and tough. Needless to say we won't be back.

One of our favorite places. Great service, fresh sandwiches and salads. Desserts are worth every calorie .
The owners posted today 2/11 that they will no longer be opened on Sundays to spend time with their families. I can understand needing time with their families but they sure will be missed for Sunday lunches.

We arrived at 5 pm on Saturday and while we were well ahead of the crowd, it seemed far too long to seat us when there were many empty tables, quite disorganized for seating. Waiter was very good, patient and responsive. Steak had a little more pepper than we would use but still very good and tender. Spouse had same meal but with sweet potato, she said it was delicious. I had broccoli that was perfectly cooked. Only disappointment was my cup of French onion soup, it was very very bland. Service was quick and food was hot!

I guess Calhoun doesn't really support the area restaurants except on the weekends because it's hard to find one open on a weekday night. This one is no different. It's a little hard to get into the restaurant because of its location and you might miss it if you don't use Google Maps or something. Once you get in, you'll find a very nice restaurant with good servers. The BBQ is really good and you have a simple choice of three sauces. The sauce hasn't been added so you can actually taste the meat and add as much as you want. The onion rings are good too. For BBQ in the Calhoun area, this has been the best so far.

The Classic Kitchen provides an awesome variety of well prepared and great tasting food. A standout among Calhoun's restaurants, the Classic Kitchen has something for almost everyone.
A family owned and operated business, the folks here care about their customers and providing freshly prepared dishes on a friendly and inviting atmosphere.

This was a last-minute lunch stop for my family of four and it was certainly tasty. The menu had many options to choose from, the lunch specials very reasonably priced, the portion sizes generous, and service excellent. I had hoped for actual nopales (stir-fried prickly-pear cactus leaves) on the menu, given the name, but unfortunately no. But the quality of the food and the speed with which it was served made up for it. Delicious.
