Enjoy warm Caribbean vibes, international cuisine with Dominican flair, and a welcoming atmosphere, all at Manny's Bar Restaurant. Sit on the upstairs Terrace with sprawling ocean views and whale watching from January to April or get cozy in the lounge/bar. Come for happy hour from four to seven offering all your favorite Caribbean cocktails plus the best Mojitos and Capairinas in town. Manny's also has affordable apartments and rooms for rent in a quiet garden setting located behind the restaurant.
There is a beautiful view of the ocean from this restaurant on Cabrera's Malècon. The fried plantains that came free with our meal were amazing. I had the Shnitzel con Spatzel, which was excellent. For dessert, we had the profiteroles, which were also very nice.

So being a foreigner in Cabrera means not every restaurant is a good match for a non dominican immune system, but this place came highly recommended by the foreign residents there. The food was great. We did the shrimp and rice and chicken with mushroom and cream sauce. The service was good. They try really hard to make sure their customers are happy. Would highly recommend.

After visiting in March, 2016, we decided to hold our daughter's wedding rehearsal dinner here. We had an excellent experience. The food was terrific, a buffet for over 40 people. They decorated the tables for us, made fresh drinks for the guests and it was a wonderful evening of food, fun and joy. We had the restaurant to ourselves and were treated like royalty! Would recommend this place for 2-over 40 guests! You won't be disappointed!

Driving from Las Terrenas to Puerto Plata we found this place near Cabrera. A bit of a shock as we did not expect to find anything like it until hitting another mayor town. Excellent pizza and Calamaria (Fried squids) Very clean, fairly elegant. Food was very good and portions generous, reasonably priced. Service was excellent.Certainly a pleasant surprise during our "expedition" in the Republic. A bit retired, when we went was empty! but quiet and enjoyable. Keep it in mind if in the area. Great souvenirs just next door!

Let me begin by stating that any food review is all about personal taste and not everyone will agree. That being said, my most recent visit to Entre Amigos will be my last visit.
On the positive side, the owner has a pretty darn good wine cellar that is stocked with a good selection of wines to fit most any palate. The restaurant has very comfortable decor, both inside and out, and the service is quite good.
On the negative, and my reason for only giving this place a 3 rating, I do not find that much on the menu to be very good. My wife and I are not ones to go to a restaurant and only order one or two items on the menu, we like to try a variety of what is offered.
In our visits we have ordered the following dishes:
Shrimp & pasta: The server stated that they were jumbo shrimp but what was served was nothing larger than oversized small shrimp. Absolutely nothing special about taste of presentation at all.
Wild Boar, one of the specialities: This came out overcooked, thin sliced, and pretty tasteless. Would not recommend this dish to anyone expecting anything more than overcooked pork loin.
Fried calamari: This was my most recent, and final meal. The calamari was tough, way overcooked, and cold. The vegetables were basically overcooked boiled and soggy. There was some kind of tuna dish that came with the meal that tasted like nothing more than tuna out of a can.
Lasagna: This was one of the better meals we had but just average sized portions.
Spinach ravolis: Pretty good but could have used a lot more filler than what was offered. Had this on more than one ocassion so the lack of filling was no accident.
Pasta with red sauce: Again, nothing at all special about this dish. Your typical pasta with tomato sauce.
If one only wants to fill up on the bread and bread sticks, or you only try one dish over and over, than one might write a better review. Having tried multiple items on the menu, none of which were anything out of the ordinary, I cannot give a better rating than a 3.
In my honest opinion, there are far better restaurants to dine at in Cabrera with far better food, better views, etc.

I love to go there with my dogs and let them run and play with the owners dogs, You can drive your car right up to the waters edge and just watch the waves come in. I have even seen people launch their boats there....MoreThank you for your review! We're always looking to improve and would love for our burgers to go from "not bad" to "great" Your suggestions and feedbacks are welcome and highly appreciated! Thank you for your visit and we hope to see you again!

You will enjoy good food and drinks and the ocean view at La familia...or even wade into their pool while you wait for awesome empanada's...Carne and Pollo (strongly suggest as apps) while the variety of Entree's are being tastefully prepared. It is also nice that they have off street parking around the corner as well as a new garden to provide fresh veggies in future.
As with numerous places in town, patience is the key to enjoying this establishment. The production area is very limited so large orders can take a while, but more reasonable wait for 2-4 people, especially if they are not crowded.

Come and enjoy our variety of dishes with fresh seafood MAS A familiar environment offers where you can enjoy the best seafood specialties , We stand by the quality of service .
This place is under new management. There's better restaurants at the Malecon. My first and only visit there wasn't great. Not only was our food so-so, it took forever. And then when we got our check, they had done the math wrong on purpose to charge us a hidden 10% tip. We don't mind tipping, we were going to do it anyway.. But being shady about it will lose my business.

Serving old style diner type foods - burgers, fresh cut fries, onion rings, coleslaw, pulled pork sandwiches, chicken strips, and chili cheese fries. Mixed with some favorite Mexican American dishes such as tacos, burritos, quesadillas, chimichangas, Mexican chili and nachos. Great prices and fast service.

Dude, if you like barbecue.. You just found your favorite restaurant! Ribs are fantastic! They have SWEET TEA! Best Mac and cheese! Phenomenal potato salad. Man, it's just good. And if you don't see something on the menu that you want, just ask Smooth. He's a wizard in the kitchen and extremely flexible! Check it out, you won't regret it!
