Had my bday dinner here. My family members go here a lot, so it feels like family. Their Mexican fare is fresh authentic and delicious. And, the price is right. It's very busy, so maybe going at an "off" time would be a good idea.

We stopped by because the parking lot was full and we were hungry. I could instantly tell it was a local favorite. There was a bit of a wait but not horrible- about 20 minutes.
Appetizer: fried mushrooms- these were so good. I would definitely recommend. They were perfectly fried. Taste was amazing.
Entrees: We got the lunch special. Chicken fried steak and the fried fish. My husband like his chicken fried steak. He ordered macaroni and mashed potatoes as his sides.
I was not a fan of the fried fish. It had absolutely no taste to it. I also did not like the batter used. I ordered mashed potatoes with gravy and French fries. Mashed potatoes were good but did not like the French fries.
Decor: loved the decor. They had a hunting theme with deer heads all over. They have the fishing channel on their TV.
Service: it was good but could have been better. My husband had to ask for refills. We came as rush hour was dwindling so by the time we were done eating there were plenty of open tables.
I can’t remember the exact cost for our meal but it was around $22. So it was not bad considering all we ordered.

While a friend and I were out shopping, we decided we needed a caffeine jolt, so we headed for the nearest Starbuck's. As far as Starbuck's go, this was one of the more plain ones I've visited. Only a few tables. We had to sit in couches, which wasn't bad, but if you have trouble getting up off the floor, you might wait for a table. The chairs sit really low to the ground. But, a hot cup of chai on a cold night in Texas with a deliciously moist slice of gingerbread, and all is well.

We offer house salads , Greek salads, and desserts like Cannoli's, cheesecake and Tiramisu, enjoy dining on our patio or come by and order take out, check out our 5 star reviews on Yelp, Google and TripAdvisor! Fast and friendly service for all of our wonderful customers!
Our son is a Midshipman at the US Merchant Marine Academy on Long Island so trips to NYC are frequent for us these days. The only thing we wish we could bring home to SA is the pizza. We finally found it at home. The Margarita pizza has huge slices of buffalo mozzarella and the crust is the perfect foldable thickness. This place isn't just SIMILAR to NYC... it is the real thing! A large pizza is also $3 cheaper here than our favorite Long Island place. Mario's also has the local San Antonio friendliness we all enjoy... "y'all want me to switch to the football game on the TV for while you wait?" You will LOVE Mario's!!!!

My significant other usually only eats pepperoni woth jalapenos. Same old every where. This place has amazing pizza. crust is awesome as is the sauce. I could only eat one piece they are so large I had to fold in half. They serve beer and wine. Truly the best place I have eaten in the area.

Wow! What a pleasant surprise to find this wonderful little wine bar in Bulverde, Texas!
Limited menu (tapas and pizza and desserts) but a wonderful wine selection! The atmosphere is rustic with almost a coffee-house type of feel. Comfy overstuffed love seat, a few side chairs, and a nice bar area for guests to kick back, enjoy some tasty wines, and perhaps grab a small bite. Appears to have many locals dropping by on a regular basis. The owners / staff were so accommodating and eager to assist us.
We drove thru Bulverde hoping to find a place to stop and enjoy dessert. Boy! What luck to find this "almost" hidden jewel! The cheesecake hit the spot but it was the 2012 Bending Branch Tannat that made my smile even bigger!
Highly recommend Wine 101. They even have a wine club that we will be joining!!

Our family dined on the patio on a beautiful spring evening. We enjoyed steaks, smoked brisket, grilled shrimp, and a variety on well prepared side dishes ... all in Texas size portions. Inside dining space is quite limited, so plan to arrive plenty early if you want to dine before the rodeo begins. Prices are quite reasonable. Service is good. A full bar, with limited top shelf liquors, completes the package. Fun place with good food.

Stopped in with family from church. They were very overwhelmed by the number of people showing up at one time after a local church service but we were seated pretty soon. The waitress was very nice. Salsa & chips were provided but only two very small salsa bowls for 6 people. It took a while for our food to be served but once it came out, it was very good. My husband had the chicken & shrimp grits which he loved. I had the spinach-shrimp quesadilla which was great.

We just moved to San Antonio a few months ago. Bought a place in Hill Country and have been exploring the local neighborhood. We saw this place and decided to try it. What a delightful surprise.
It's a place where you put your order in at the counter. It's all seafood, but it is VERY fresh and REALLY good. The shrimp tacos are delightful and the tostada 'mixta' has a jumble of different seafoods that is quite tasty. AND it's pet friendly!
