Bujumbura (/ˌbuːdʒəmˈbʊərə/; French pronunciation: [byʒœ̃byʁa]), formerly Usumbura, is the capital, largest city, and main port of Burundi. It ships most of the country's chief export, coffee, as well as cotton and tin ore. It is on the north-eastern shore of Lake Tanganyika, the second deepest lake in the world after Lake Baikal.

This place is strategically places with a very great view of the city i enjoyed relaxing here with my friend and watched the darkness fall and the city light up. The staff are very friendly and the prices of drinks and food is very fair. This is a must visit place around the Kiriri area.

This place is out of the world. In Burundi I think there is no other place such this one. African food or european food all 5 stars. The staff is a miracle. Super attention all the time, very professionals and kind. Top of the top. A place to visit again for sure.

I had a wonderful brochette and a beer here. The food was very tasty. Service was super friendly and the staff were very accommodating looking after my bags for the brief time I was in town for. The garden is a nice calm place (at least during the day - i hear it can get noisy at night). I was very happy with my choice.

The restaurant is located in a nice location, overhanging Tanganika lake. The food was good and the staff was nice.

For Your Restaurant in Bujumbura You have chez Vaya, Superb Pleasant, Safe, and Economical! Located in the residential neighborhood Kiriri as "crested" and secure in Bujumbura With a Panoramic View has two steps from downtown. Open 7 days / 7, from 06.30 - 21.30
Situated in Kiriri close to both the Belvedere Restaurant and the Top Hills Residence the cuisine here is Greek based but includes other selections and is generally good although the grounds and dining areas are a little scruffy. By no means the worst restaurant in Bujumbura but not the best either.

There are not many places to get good pizza in Bujumbura. The other main one people go to is Waka Waka, which is good, but never has enough Seating. The ambiance at Pasta Comedia is very nice and relaxed, and there is always plenty of Seating. You can either sit inside or out on the patio overlooking the lake. I'm surprised by other people's reviews that they did not like the pizza... I've gotten 3 different pizzas, and all were amazing! Prices are a bit higher than the average for Bujumbura, but still not bad. Service can be slow, but that's not abnormal in this city.

Minimum waiting time for the food is 45 Minutes. We ate Mukeke fish 2 times. 1st time was excellent and fresh but we had to wait 1 hour. Second time 45 Minutes but it tasted like frozen fish. Beautiful view on the lake and very relaxing. Hippos didn't show up at 5 to 7pm (supposed to be the best time for the hippos to show)

During my stay at the Palmeraie (see my review of this gem) I had a variety of their offerings at the restaurant. The grilled fillet was tender, delicious, and perfectly cooked. Service is prompt and efficient. One order that was not cooked as I had asked was promptly exchanged without difficulty. Worth a visit to this corner of town.

There are only two Indian restaurants in Bujumbura and Taj is popular for its special taste and its convenient location in the town. Its also very close to Village Hotel which is quite popular among tourists to Bujumbura. The managers are very friendly and ready to help the clients. In all a good Indian restaurant.
