They don't have a big kitchen but serve lite bites. I normally get breakfast, my wife a salad, daughter gets soup, and the boys get sandwiches. They also serve great desserts and have ordered Holiday pies from there that are massive.

Bring the family and friends and come enjoy the spectacular garden views, complimented with exceptional cuisine created by our award winning Chef Michael Fernandez and his team. Chef Michael Fernandez is an accredited chef that acquired his culinary education for The Culinary Institute of America at Hyde Parke New York. He worked for many years as a Senior Chef and Instructor for the Art Institute of Houston as well as a Chef for the 4 Seasons Hotel in Austin, Texas and Maui, Hawaii. We truly believe that our food, service, and ambiance can compete with any restaurant. Please dine with us...we think you will want to come again and bring your friends.
Brookwood Cafe is delightful with young folks with Intellectual Disabilities helping to serve. The food is delicious and well-presented. Before or after eating, be sure to visit the store and gardens. I never leave without picking up some gifts or plants. Some of the items are made by the special needs folks.

So, I drive by here when I travel from New Braunfels to Conroe because I like to skip the craziness of Houston and take the back roads. Having driven by several times without stopping- but thinking it must be good bc it is so close to a plant of some kind - I figured it must keep all those guys satisfied, I finally stopped a few weeks ago. At 10am they were out of chocolate iced donuts, but I got a plain glazed and a jalapeño cheese kolache and went on my way (they have a drive thru!)
I was blown away by the kolache... It had a fantastic wrapper with amazing sausage. 10 hours later as I drove home and scarfed the last 2" of my kolache (it was probably 8 or 9") I decided the bun tasted like kings Hawaiian bread... It may be the same as the donut dough. Whatever it was- it was amazing :) and my donut was awesome too... None of that "after grease" mouth feeling you get with pastry sometimes - even that night when I finished that off too.
I HAD to get this place on the trip advisor map. It is only 5 min or less off I-10 and if you are driving by you NEED. TO. STOP. I promise you will be happy (as long as you get there between 9 and 1 when they close) it is soooooooo goooooood!!!!!!!

We (group of 6 ladies) had been looking forward to lunch here after a great trip to the annual Brookwood Community Christmas program in Brookshire. There are not many dining options in the area and had heard good reports about daily lunch specials and good country cooking here at Mamie's. Menu had great variety of options, from salads, homemade soups, meats and 2 veg choices, burgers, sandwiches and noticed a good looking coconut cream pie as we entered. Friday's lunch special was fried catfish. Our waitress was friendly and helpful and we placed our order about 12:30 pm - then we never saw her again. Several customers ate and left while we waited an hour for our food. The steak and spinach salad, hamburger with onion rings, butternut squash soup were all pretty good. Others had 'Brazos Valley Chicken' and found the chicken overcooked and dry and served cold. The sauce was delicious and zucchini fries and fried okra sides were very good. Drinks were not refilled and we had to ask, others did not receive their soup, nor bread, a side salad contained brown, unappetizing lettuce. There was chaos as we paid the check, staff were disorganized, not sure why. So some good food, some not and service just not right on this day. Maybe it's best to order the daily special. I should really give it 2 stars except a few easily fixed changes could have made our visit much better.

We stop by for lunch often. If you get there around 11:30, you beat the rush. And yes, there will be a line starting about noon.
It is a order at the counter type of place and makes the whole neighborhood smell of BBQ. The brisket is the family favorite, but my son loves the ribs. The sides are typical BBQ sides, but the potato salad is really good.
The meat case has some great cuts that you can take home for dinner as well as a wide range of jerky. The store has some local honey that I use to cook with and help with allergies.

So we were driving home and needed gas and we were hungry. We noticed that this restaurant was next door and took a chance. Wow! Glad we did.
I love LOVE salsa. They have a roasted tomato salsa... hmmmm hmmmm good. And they have a tomatillo one. It Was good too. I preferred the red and my friend preferred the green.
We hade mole (her) and child relleno (me). We bothered love the dishes. The tortillas they serve with the meal... homemade in the restaurant. Can't get better.
I always like to try the relleno... if a place can get this dish right... they can cook. Theirs was fab
So if you are driving down I10 and need a place to eat, stop here. You won't regret it.

Very good experience. Fresh, crisp Caesar salad. Piping hot veal Parmesan with an excellent house-made marinara sauce! Very large portions. Attentive service. Great choice coming from the Hilton Garden Inn.

Ok, so I passed by this place in Fulshear for years. But boy was I happy we stopped for early evening meal. My ribeye was perfectly grilled with a nice smoky flavor. Mashed taters were good, though not quite as warm as I like, and...MoreThank you for taking the time to review us. We hope to see more of you in the future!

Orlando's Pizza is very good. They provide great variety of pizzas including dessert pizzas.
The $5.99 price includes pizza, salad bar and pastas. My wife enjoyed the salad bar and pizzas.
The service is good and quick. It's a clean restaurant.
We enjoyed Orlando's Pizza Buffet
