I booked ,at late notice, for 8 persons as a birthday treat to myself. The party included 2 children.
It was a warm day and we were seated in the garden area being shaded by a number of large parasols.
Pre lunch drinks were ordered whilst we looked at the menu. The drinks were brought to the table and there was no asking ' Who are the Gin & Tonics for ? Who ordered wine etc. The waiter placed the drinks in the correct order without even asking ! This was repeated throughout the entire meal on every course. They obviously have some code to identify who has ordered what !
The food was faultless but on reflection I chose wrongly for my personal taste. The rest of the party chose to their tastes.
The wine list is varied and prices range from around €25.00 to the sky.
If you are expecting a cheap meal, this is not the place for you. Expect to pay around €100.00 per person and what you will get is a wonderful Dining experience in a wonderful setting.
The car park is a bit tricky to find. The small area after the main front entrance gates is soley for guests checking in and you cannot leave your car there. If you follow the road along a bit then take a left and follow the signs you eventually arrive at the back gate where you press the bell and use the intercom.
One thing that did amuse me was that one lady guest sat at her table with a large macaw parrot perched on her shoulder or the back of her chair ! The waiters accepted this as normal as the dogs under other diners tables. I think that I might take my Goldfish in it's bowl next time we visit.

The restaurant looks out on a leafy square opposite the law courts. We went there for Sunday lunch and had the set menu and sat out on the shaded Terrace. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

We had dinner there yesterday and it was the best one we had during our vacation in Provence. Everything was absulutely delicious!! The service was excellent (we can't read French so the waitress/owner translated and recommended the best dishes to order and her recomendations were indeed very very good). The prices are very reasonable as well.

We walked through a quiet Brignoles town center on a late Monday evening when we discovered L'absolu. We wanted absolu-tely to check it out...
The entrance is discrete and we wanted a table in the quiet back yard. This is an elegant restaurant. Our nice waitress did not understand one single word of English, and understanding the menu demanded quite a bit of interpretation and body language.
We had burgers for our two children aged 8 and 10, ravioli for my wife and entrecôte for myself. Food was delicious, and so was the recommended rose wine for only 4 Euros a glass. This was a good meal and a good value for money.
Total price including soft drinks and two glasses of rose wine was 80.00 Euros.

We stayed at Hotel de Provence for two nights and decided to try the restaurant the first night, mostly because of convenience. Imagine our surprise when we later concluded those dinners might have been the best we have ever had. Anywhere. Period. We simply had to return for our second night as well.
Between the two nights, we had dishes based on fish, beef, shellfish and veal. All were accompanied by a large variety of small side dishes. Everything was flawless. Sauces and seasonings were perfect. Cheeses and desserts were exquisite. The staff was helpful, professional, and attentive.
We had not planned to return to Brignoles, usually preferring to try new towns on each trip, but we may have to just so that we can eat here again.

This is a very attractive restaurant where one can eat outside under the shade of trees listening to the trickling of the water from this most unusual Fountain which looks like a tree dripping water! The food was of good quality, nicely served by friendly staff. We would return.

This creperie has a very good selection on its menu, not only of both savoury and sweet crepes but of grills, salads and other desserts too. A nice little Terrace, which, although it is right on the main road and opposite the main car park, seems secluded and relatively peaceful. Food very tasty. All in all good value.

This place was recommended by our host who is a local. The pizza is delicious. We had the vegetarian. It was so good I didn't want to stop eating. It's very casual and tiny if you eat in, but the staff is welcoming. You can...MoreHello, Thank you for your comment, we're happy of your passage at our restaurant and will welcome you with pleasure again. See you very soon.
