In Brabant they know how to enjoy life, with the same thoughts about food as in South-Europe. At this restaurant they know to choose an original menu from the French cuisine. Even better is to experience their Thai food, because this will be prepared by a Thai cook, who is a specialist in herbs and taste.

A very busy fully booked restaurant on the 2nd day of Christmas and still able to do an a la carte menu. We did not go for that and took the 'surprise' menu. There was a mix of fish and meat but also the choise to not like one or the other. With 3 at our table, one wanted wish, the other only meat and the third person took the mix. This was NO problem or them. We had dinner at a nice speed and it was good too. Nice atmosphere in a 'historic' kind of place.

Midden op de Markt in Boxtel kunt u zeven dagen per week terecht in ons gezellige eetcafé. Breek de dag met een lekkere lunch, sluit uw dag shoppen af met een drankje met borrellekkers of sfeervol etentje. Of kom ’s avonds genieten van een van de heerlijke biertjes van onze zorgvuldig samengestelde bierkaart.Ook grote gezelschappen zijn van harte welkom. Wél even van tevoren reserveren, zodat wij voor een mooie tafel kunnen zorgen.Na 22.00 uur gaan de lampen wat zachter, de tafeltjes aan de kant en dan is er ruimte voor een dansje op een heerlijk stukje muziek.Heeft u iets te vieren? Op de eerste verdieping hebben wij het allermooiste zaaltje van Boxtel. Sfeervol ingericht, uitzicht op de mooie markt. Voor feesten recepties, vergaderingen enzovoorts. Wij geven u graag meer informatie over de mogelijkheden daar!Heeft u vrienden of kennissen die u ervan verdenkt dat ze te weinig warme maaltijden tot zich nemen, verras ze dan met een met een “Le Temps Perdu Dinerbon”.Graag tot ziens in Le Temps Perdu!

Our first time in Boxtel. A friend we visited suggest this place for dinner. We didn’t go there first but walked around. Ended up here anyway after the local we passed (and asked) also suggested. 2 suggestions!! And we weren’t disappointed. A few Vegetarian dishes on the menu. Good looking staffs. ;D

De Ceulse Kaar has a respectable reputation in Boxtel. But we could't figure out where they deserved this from. With the waiter we had a feeling that he had chosen the wrong job, he wasn't very friendly and attentive. Also strange, during our 3 course meal we had 3 different person helping us.
The dishes looked really nice, but the the taste was a bit dull. None of the dishes was really getting us exited.
Conclusion, not a bad place, but for sure not more than average.

This is a short review of the STEAKHOUSE TEXAS restaurant, located in Boxtel, The Netherlands (Address:- Stationsstraat 78, 5281 GG Boxtel, Netherlands). My family and I ate there in mid August during our 4-day holiday in Holland. Staying at out hotel in Oss, the restaurant was a 20-minute drive from our hotel. Parking is a bit limited although in the evening when we arrived, there were spaces to be had in the street. However, be careful NOT to park your car in any residential spaces!
The menu is typically American fare so if you like steak, ribs, fries and the like, this will suit you! My wife had Ribs and she said that they were very good. Normally I go for steak if I can find a good one but for some reason, this time I opted for a cheese burger with bacon and fries. The burger was large and well put together. Fries were plentiful and essentially, the food was good and in a good quantity to satisfy us all. The menu is fairly good with at least four types of steak (Ribeye and T-Bone were on the menu) and the prices are very reasonable. Expect to pay around 19 to 22 Euros for a steak dinner. Starter menu is also extensive and there is also a kids menu and desert options if you are not too full. The service was good and friendly and english is spoken. The Seating was comfortable and the restaurant layout was pleasing with a small bar if you are on your own. I would like to eat here again some time to try out the steaks and have a better grasp of the menu. We did not have a lot of time but needed to try this place after finding it. We enjoyed it very much and were treated in a very friendly manner. I would recommend this location if you like to eat American style. Credit cards are accepted here as well. I frequent the Texas on every trip to Boxtel, in the company of our dear Dutch friend Eric T, a local resident. Coming from Houston, it is a must. The ribs are great, and the potato fries dipped in mayonnaise - while not a cowboy standard - are outstanding. Don't fill up on the freshly baked house garlic bread, tempting though it is. And give a nod to the Texas decorations imported directly from the Lone Star State. Ya'll go and share a cold one!

The tasting menu has so many tantalizing options that it is too hard to choose. We were engaged in a debate of what to order when our gracious waitress disappeared and returned shortly with a special creation : a large platter filled with the items we had been discussing, plus some additional delicacies to complement them. We were so delighted! And everything was wonderful - shrimp, fish, beef, meatballs, prosciutto, mushrooms and (!!) artichoke hearts with melted Gorgonzola. We loved sharing each item and comparing notes. My dinner companion was too full from the platter to order dessert, so he had a second glass of Merlot. On the other hand, I am an ice cream addict so I had a scoop of vanilla and a scoop of pistachio gelato. We were both very satisfied - excellent food, lovely evening! We will be back!

Weg uit de drukte ligt in een prachtige ambiance (binnen en buiten) een geweldig restaurant. Kreeftensoep een Michelin ster waard en alle andere gerechten met zeer veel smaak en gevoel bereid. Goede service en prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Ideale lokatie om iets te vieren met een groep, zakenlunch of familie diner!

The Happas are a great choice here. There is a very long list of small dishes to chose from. You can pick 2 dishes per person per round. You can order for as long as you wish. There is also a vegetarian choice.
