We were visiting Scotts Valley and needed a quick breakfast, so we decided to try out Auntie Mame's. The restaurant serves breakfast and lunch and has indoor and outdoor seating. We ate there on Memorial Day Weekend and the restaurant was crowded, but we did not have to wait.
When we arrived, a friendly host brought us to our seat. The space is relatively small, but they have many tables packed in. Our waiter informed us of the daily specials, which were also written on two whiteboards, and got us started with drinks. The orange juice is really good!
We ordered an Avocado Benedict and a side of fruit, toast, and hash browns. The food came quickly. The eggs benedict tasted great. We really enjoyed the fruit salad, too. Most fruit salads usually just contain bananas, strawberries, and grapes, but this once also had kiwis, apples, and pears! The hash browns and toast tasted okay.
Our waiter was very friendly and helpful and the food was not too expensive. We really liked the atmosphere of Auntie Mame's. There are pictures all over the restaurant's walls and some of the tables have a view of Mount Hermon Road. We would recommend trying one of the restaurant's eggs benedicts. Auntie Mame's serves good food in a nice setting, and at a reasonable price. We will likely be back when we are visiting Scotts Valley again!

My family has been eating here for four generations, since they originally opened. We've been loyal customers, so it's sad to say the food has gone way downhill.
The relish plate no longer contains any meat or cheese. Just a bland assortment of cubed beets, carrot sticks, celery, a small dab of antipasto. The soup was served not hot, rather dull stuff. Salad had a watery so called blue cheese dressing, one small cherry tomato, a slice of onion and lettuce. Could have done better at Denny's.
The red pasta sauce was supposed to be a meat sauce, meat seemed to be missing.
The only thing going for it is the building, dark wood, fireplace, lots of ambiance. Unfortuneately we can't eat the ambiance.

This place is off the hook phenomenal! The food is as good as any Italian I’ve ever had. Mario the owner, will visit and ensure quality. We can highly recommend veal parmigiana and veal saltimbocca. The oricchietta is also memorable for you pasta lovers. Do not miss the opportunity to eat here!

A classic burger and soft serve drive in diner, is a classic and well loved feature in Boulder Creek. They serve all the typical ice cream desserts as well as very decent cheeseburgers. We've been hitting the Foster's since we moved to the area.....26 years ago, and it's always the same solid drive in/burger fare.....reliable.

A SUPER GREAT Place for coffee and breakfast munchies. Thier sign says, "the best little pourhouse," and they are right. They have the absolute best coffee, Chais, milks, tea, etc. around. They also sell different unique items you can buy. We enjoyed the breakfast ham/cheese croissant, the veggie Quiche, and locally made pastries and my favorite Oatmeal/raisin cookie. Have free internet, outdoor seating, a nice back room w/ toys for the little ones.
Go and enjoy, we always do.
When we are in Felton, we are there just about every morning doing the coffee, chai, small almond milk cold for the little one, breakfast bites and a cookie for Mrs. Q. Yes, they also have a punch card – after ten purchases you get one drink free. Great place, we will be back next visit to Felton.

A group of local friends meets here informally for lunch once a week, and I join them once or twice a month. There's a fairly broad selection of sandwiches and breads, but only a few that appeal to me. Ditto for their daily fresh soups, and the good ones can be quite nice. Service is minimal but friendly by a perpetually changing set of young ladies of college age who are sometimes a bit clueless about customer service.

We stopped in at the Whale City Bakery for lunch between a visit to Ano Nuevo state park and heading to Santa Cruz. The staff was very friendly, and we were seated quickly. We ordered several different types of sandwiches, burgers, and tostada salads; everyone enjoyed their food, and the kids especially enjoyed the fries. They were also willing to customize a ham and Turkey sandwich with no cheese or may for my picky son. On our way out we bought some yummy baked goods for the road. It was later in the afternoon, so they were sold out of some items, but we still enjoyed our cookies and brownies. We were pleased we'd stopped in.

Stopped here for a bite during the Open Studios weekend -- excellent BLT sandwiches, and coffee decent also. Would be a higher rating but for rather grumpy service at the counter; our hostess was terse and clearly impatient/annoyed as she took our order -- perhaps because it was hectic with so many people in town, but it made a poor impression nonetheless.

Their website makes it look like a very nice, small town bakery. We were disappointed. It seemed to be a tired shop. Even the pastries looked a bit tired. The place smells good and is very well located, but they should upgrade not only the shop itself, but also the baked goods. Do not recommend.
