We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here while in the area visiting the Battlefield. Nikki was fantastic! She gave us a lot of information on the area and provided excellent service.

We come here every couple of months as this local and very convienent. The service is always good and the place has great atmosphere. We use to come to Mains I’ve cream as kids and love the nostalgia of the old building. The menu has a good variety, something for everyone. The food is good, but nothing has ever been great. The Buffalo Chicken dip is probably our favorite item.

Our party of eight was served a late lunch in a very timely manner. The food we had included the Red Byrd (freshly fried) chicken, several garden salads, fried cat fish, club sandwich and hot roast beef sandwich platter with fries. All the meals looked good on the plates, and no food remained at the end. Our waitress kept all the drinks filled, and the iced tea and coffee were good.
The Red Byrd is a good choice for reasonably priced, tasty meals.

My wife and I recently visited Dan's after not having been for a few years. (We aren't local.) We remembered Dan's as having great burgers, and our memory was correct. They are so good. Also, they make their own dressings, and the blue cheese dressing was one of the best I've ever had. My wife loved their ranch dressing too. On another day, we tried their non-pub food dinner options (steak and carbonara) but weren't as impressed. But, again, their burgers are great. The staff was also really great.

If you are in the Sharpsburg area, visit this one of a kind, old fashioned and a bit quirky ice cream parlor. It is a fun experience just to experience it. Be careful, their scoops are HUGE Think twice before you order a medium, the "small" consists of two BIG scoops! They had over 30 flavors the day we visited, and the locals come and go as this is the best deal in the area. Very inexpensive!

We stopped at Burkholder's before taking a battlefield tour and were so very glad we did. The donuts were fresh (and in one case still warm). The apple fritters were especially tasty with chunks of apple throughout. Not easy to find off the side street and behind the house but worth the effort.

Unique donut shop that is a staple in the Hagerstown area. The donuts are great and they have a different donut of the month each month and do a special “Mystery Monday” donut every week. It is a great stop for a late night donut fix.

We have eaten here before but service was awful tonight. It was busy but booths were open so not packed. The 2 young waitresses were completely overwhelmed. Usually we have the older, experienced waitresses but they were no where to be seen this evening. My husband ordered gravy on his fries...got no gravy but was charged for it..69 cents for a spoonful of gravy. I ordered open faced meatloaf sandwich with a baked potato. I got open faced roast beef with mashed potatoes which I ate when I questioned if I had gotten someone else's food. My granddaughter had to wait a long time after her pancakes arrived for the syrup..we even got the other waitress involved. Several of us had to wait a considerable amt of time for silverware. We wound up helping ourselves to some from an empty table. The food was good. My daughter got a reuben she said was delish. My other granddaughter's BLT was good. Was never asked if we needed drink refills. Just hope this is not the new normal for this place.

This creamery has both Hershey's had dipped as well as soft serve. We both had the had dipped and the one scoop was HUGH (like 2 scoops). Initially, I asked for a vanilla soft serve dipped in chocolate but they do not offer that. I suggest that they do.
Since Main's Ice Cream closed in Middletown, MD this is the place to go. Boonsboro is a nice town with several events during the year. Near national and state parks.

We love Stone Werks! This café is so unique, and is a perfect fit for Boonsboro. Every single item that we have ordered has been delicious. Coffee, tea, pastries... you simply must try this place! It will be your new favorite bakery/café. The owners are so friendly, and they make sure to use local ingredients. There are also Gluten-Free options on the menu.
On many occasions, we have been able to try one-of-a-kind seasonal items that you cannot find anywhere else. Not only are they unique, eye-catching, and creative—they are delicious! Specialty flavored macarons are a must.
We highly recommend Stone Werks Coffee + Sweets!
