The Local BBQ Joint with a nationally recognized menu" Homemade Soup, Salads and Sandwiches with grate Steaks and Seafood specializing in BBQ, Chicken and Ribs!,, Great for families with outdoor seating and full service Bar!
Passing through area late one evening, we arrived in time to have very good dinners. My bbq plate had delicious pulled pork (a little dry but additional sauce served right away when I requested), tastes-like-home cole slaw and potato salad and hush puppies. Husband had ribs with fries and baked beans, also very good. We thought the hush puppies a little boring but they come with everything in this part of the country; would skip them here next time. Server was friendly and attentive, music excellent and unobtrusive (selections from owner's own ipod play list - wonderful, wonderful). A small bar adjoins dining area, and options included beers, cocktails and wine. My glass of house red was "old" and beyond its prime open time, but I should have known better than to order this in a bbq place. Beer next time!

Red Bridges BBQ is legendary in NC. It is a destination and a must-visit if you are driving on Highway 74 West to the NC mountains. Bridges BBQ is a barbecue-smoking, selling machine! The place is always packed and the food is fresh and delicious. I love the chopped pork tray which has barbecue, slaw and hush puppies with tea for less than $10. Note: they are not open on Monday.

Mom and Pop shop that makes their own family recipe donuts fresh every morning.
We visited here yesterday while on a little road trip. A friend had told me about this place and said that they have amazing donuts. Being someone who can't pass up a good donut I had to stop.
My friends recommendation was spot on. I got a blueberry donut and an apple fritter. Both were really fresh and delicious and some of the best I've ever eaten.
I will look for reasons to go out of my way to eat here!!

Kelly's is a very traditional and established steakhouse with over fifty years of dining excellence history. A formal dining area is offered as well as a lounge/bar section. Though the property shows it's age, doing steaks right just doesn't get old. Salads are fresh, dressings taste homemade and tasty rolls are served with real butter. Dining is on tablecloths with cloth napkins, service is attentive and friendly, steaks and seafood entries are well prepared and desserts are generous and taste fantastic. They should offer a shuttle from the awful local Outback to Kelly's so people can see how things should be done.o

Stopped in for a quick bite, enjoyed the atmosphere of the sweet lady playing the electric organ/keyboard while we ate. Delicious onion rings and corn nuggets ( like a corn fritter), and grilled shrimp was so good! Good salad with homemade ranch dressing, as was this "cornbread salad" that I had never heard of before, but opted to try... really good.. and enjoyed the blackberry cobbler for dessert. Waitresses, ALL of them, were just as sweet, pleasant and friendly as could be. A nice stop for an easy eatery dinner!

This is a really good diner. It looks rough from the outside, but let's not judge this book by its cover. The burgers are AWESOME! I got the Mikes Burger and it was a doozy weighing in at over 16 ounces, but it was so good I couldn't save it for later. I also got the onion rings, which were really good. It's a busy local spot, which always means to me that it's reliably good. Go check it out, but save your calories for this meal!

Really glad we stumbled upon this McDonald's during our travels through SC. Food was hot and fresh, restrooms and restaurant were clean but the best part was the Christian music playing overhead and the Ten Commandments on the wall. Amen to that! Nice way to complete our trip and head on home.

My wife and I usually stop at Waffle Houses when we drive anywhere because we can almost always count on consistency. We like getting the All-Star breakfast and it just works for us. The staff here was nice, the food came out as we ordered it so what else can you want. We're happy we stopped here.

No matter what time one goes, the parking lot is full. Food is fresh and hot. Service is outstanding. The only flaw I have noted is the flow of traffic inside the restaurant. Needs to have a cue line.

They have a great salad bar, nice selection of items all cut to bite size. All the good pizza that you can eat at a reasonable price. Tuesday is senior citizen day with a discount. Veterans receive a 10% discount every day. The owner is a good Christian person. No alcoholic beverages, but plenty of soft drinks and that good southern sweet tea. Good service with a friendly smile.
