Bitola (Macedonian: Битола [ˈbitɔɫa] ( listen) known also by several alternative names) is a city in the southwestern part of the Republic of Macedonia. It is located in the southern part of the Pelagonia valley, surrounded by the Baba, Nidže and Kajmakčalan mountain ranges, 14 kilometres (9 miles) north of the Medžitlija-Níki border crossing with Greece. The city stands at an important junction connecting the south of the Adriatic Sea region with the Aegean Sea and Central Europe, and is an administrative, cultural, industrial, commercial, and educational centre. It has been known since the Ottoman period as "The City of The Consuls", since many European countries had consulates in Bitola.

This is not picture of Epinal Hotel
But Hotel Epinal is very good place to stay when you decide to visit Bitola. It has all accommodations and casino for people who want to tray their luck. It is in the centre of the city on the famous street (known like KORZO between locals) where the consuls were walking in old times. There is always what to see and feel .

restaurant is classed as pizzeria but also serves North african food
As with most of Macedonia, the food is incredible and huge portions for very little money! Pizza's are great, Pileshki Prsti which is basically miniature breast chicken schnitzel fingers (the exact translation) are also great with Ajvar! Been multiple times!

Made the mistake of going downstairs first as sign on building did not indicate two separate restaurants
GO UPSTAIRS
Excellent service and food with all very reasonable pricing
Waiter helped with menu and modified dish to my wife's preference
Had lovely starter if beans and very fresh tasty grilled mushroom as two dishes which we shared
Then my wife had chicken in a clay pot and I had steak
So much we could not finish
Great red wine too again the cheapest and one if the best we have had in this trip

An upmarket place with good prices and good food. Service was good too. I had the mixed grill which was huge albeit a bit too salty for my taste.

The Pizza Metro's a few metres up a side street towards the top of Širok Sokak, not far from the old consulate buildings.
Despite the name, it isn't just for pizza. It's a restaurant that does does various things, including pizza. There are lots of traditional Macedonian dishes. I had a sort of pork and mushroom stew, for example, which was delicious.
Not very expensive. There's outside Seating if you want. A good place to go with children. Friendly service.

As with most of Macedonia, the food is incredible and huge portions for very little money!
It sits right above Sirok Sokak, the main strip through Bitola, and although (for them) it's defined as a High Class expensive restaurant, as with all in Macedonia it's really cheap and the food was incredible!!
I ordered the Chicken Breast with Gorgonzola sauce (requested the chicken be made schnitzel style) and they were more than happy to oblige!
I have also been here numerous times. I even came alone once it was that good before I left, had a massive meal, a full bottle of wine, staff are attentive, happy to give you anything you want and still very cheap!

Good location, atmosphere is always nice. The Manaki is one of the most popular places here with extremely delicious food, nice surroundings. All staff was very friendly, positive and professional. Prices are respectable, also they have outdoor Seating too!

Porta Jazz is place known for great music from all over the world and great style.
Great place, good service and average prices. You will feel comfortable to visit any time of the day as there is always good atmosphere. Very often there is a live music and there are bends from all around the world performing. This place is suitable for different celebration also

Overall, this place has very nice food. On our last visit a year ago and just recently, the conveyed message of getting baby chairs and children-friendly environment was not received positively by the owners. On our last visit, the waiter was arrogant to the many children attending the celebration, taking away things they played with, bringing chewy medallion menu option and cold rice. No one asked how the meat should be cooked, so the smallest child got bloody cooked meat and the eldest adult an overcooked meat. The service seems to deteriorate, unfortunately.

I ate there twice in June and July 2014 just after it opened.. Beutifully modern During the day the service was good. The one night there, they had live entertainment and the place was packed and it was more like a night club or disco type atmosphere. Some of the staff had real attitude, which at my age, I don't tolerate. (67). Manaki would not have been impressed with some of the staff
