Recently winning the accolade of Best Restaurant in Outer London Suburbs at the prestigious British Curry Awards, having already won there previously in 2011 and 2014, the Welling site, part of the well-respected Shampan Group, is an intimate and cosy restaurant. Perched on a quiet and unassuming parade, the elegant and contemporary restaurant features a subtly designed dining area with glossy leather banquettes, cosy booths and lovely etchings on the walls – all matched by a vibrant and buzzing ambience. The flavoursome cooking, which leans on the traditional with some modern touches, speaks eloquently for itself.
Excellent restaurant. Food first rate but the portions could be bigger for the price. First class service from the waiters. Nothing to much trouble

12 of us had a lovely meal for my daughters birthday, we enjoyed the £16.80 all you can eat banquet. The staff were very pleasant and efficient, the food superb, and we were given fruit fritters and ice cream with a lovely lotus candle as a birthday surprise.

been going here for few years for family/friend celebrations - never fails to impress. This time there were 6 of us from. 22 to nearly 60, great atmosphere and most importantly excellent food. Staff were friendly and around when you wanted them but not over pushy .Eveyone was happy with their food , but those who had not been before totally raved about the steak. Really good place to have close to home . Keep it up !!

Went twice recently, first visit was offered a good table, Great food, attentive staff, Beer and Wine selection fine
Second visit not such a good experience because we were only offered a table for two and simply they are too small by far-we were cramped with insufficient table room, forced to engage in small talk with other diners who were sitting almost in elbow room! Totally ruined the second visit and lesson learnt! Not sure why anyone would think this table lay-out was acceptable

We went on the basis of many great reviews, so perhaps had high expectations. The service was great and overall it was a really good meal. Just the flavour and menu lacked the excitement and freshness and punch I would have liked. It is very much in the traditional style of Italian eateries across the country. Not a bad thing, but just wanted a little more.

Mama Carmen Is on the move. We have teamed up with the Prince Albert in Bexleyheath to the superb 50+ seater restaurant above the pub. It is completely separate from the pub and offers luxurious surroundings. Frank and his now extended team will keep serving the very best of dishes as always. We now offer crisp lining tables in a comfortable cosy surroundings. Frank Will now be front of house as he has two very experienced chefs in the kitchen to continue his unblemished reputation. Come check us out.

My last two meals out in 2017 were to my favourite restaurant, Mario's Pizzeria. The atmosphere there is always vibrant and friendly and Mario is always an excellent host. He remembers the favourite dishes of his regular clients and in my case ensures that vongole are available when he knows I am coming. The cuisine is authentic and the pizzas are better than those I have eaten in Italy. Booking well in advance is essential as the restaurant is busy at both sittings and they have to turn away people who have not booked. Happy New Year!!

The Banana Garden is a friendly coffee shop, also selling home-made soups, cakes and light lunches. We offer a range of delicious Afternoon Tea options and are licensed to serve alcohol with our food. The quirky decor is welcoming and fresh, offering a range of signs, ornaments and unusual items to look at during your visit. Everything on display is for sale too, so you can shop and stop for refreshments in one place. We aim to have gluten free choices wherever possible.
I came to the banana garden with my grandmother who is usually rather picky whne it comes to coffee shops and we both thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We had the chocolate cake which was delicious and coffee. The service is what really topped it off...MoreWe’re so pleased that you and your grandmother enjoyed your visit. Thank you for the nice review. See you again soon.

We chose the tapas meal for our dinner and did not regret it. Every dish was authentic, delicious, and extremely copious - three portions were more than enough to feed a voracious adult. The atmosphere was just right (no loud music!) and service impeccable. We'll be back.
