I dined here last night with friends. I have eaten here previously on a couple of occasions, too. I can only describe the food we received last night as bland. It really lacked depth of flavour and that was throughout all elements of my meal. Even the keema naan struggled to impress. It certainly wasn’t the best Indian meal I’ve ever eaten and wouldn’t rush to return on the back of it. The service was good, but the meal failed to achieve the same status.

We booked for a group meal here and from word go everything was fantastic. The lady who I corresponded with was so helpful and the chef provided a fantastic menu - staff were happy to cater to our needs and there was nothing we asked for that was a problem at all. Service on the night was brilliant and considering we were a very big group they did a fantastic job. Food was delicious and fresh, everyone enjoyed their meals. It was exactly what we wanted when we originally booked and I would have no hesitation at all recommending Ye Olde New Inn.
Another point I'd like to add - the young lady who served us who said it was her first night was absolutely brilliant and we'd never have known it was her first night.
Thankyou all so much for everything you did to make our meal so special.

I have never really considered using Weatherspoons hotel/ diners, for no good reason I must admit, however I must say I was very pleasantly surprised when we decided to have breakfast at the George Hotel in Bewdley.
We sat at a very comfortable table right in front of an open fire, which was very welcoming on a cold January morning. My wife had a traditional breakfast while I decided to go large. Both of these we found well cooked and reasonably well presented by friendly staff in reasonable time, also both the bacon and sausages being quite reasonable quality offerings. The coffee, although a help yourself machine effort was quite good, and although one cup each was enough for us refills are free. All this for around £12 is good value.
l would now consider further visits.

Family run Restaurant and Bar situated in the Georgian town of Bewdley. Menu ranges from Pub Food Favourites to Gastro pub so something for everyone. Real Ales and Chilled lagers with a interesting Wine List. Nice relaxed atmosphere with friendly attentive staff.
It was a quiet night and the restaurant wasn’t busy. I ordered the ribeye steak. It’s always a little daunting when you eat steak out. Will it be cooked the way you ordered it? No worry’s here. The steak was cooked perfectly and was very tasty.
Only down side is that it’s a little pricey.

Two of us went for Christmas lunch on Sunday 2nd December, every table was booked, very cosy, quirky with low Xmas music, plus you can take your own booze. Excellent lunch selection covering the festive period.
We both had different starters, and main courses, lovely vegetables, all nice and hot, struggled to choose a sweet from a excellent sweet trolly, all freshly made, my sherry trifle was lovely I had a second sweet, no extra charge, will be going again

Called here on a sunny Saturday morning. Sat outside with excellent views of the River Severn. Needless to say the cafe was busy. The food did take 25 minutes to arrive but clearly had been freshly cooked and had not been pre-cooked and left sitting around in trays. There are a good selection of options for the cooked breakfast. I had the big one which comprised of 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 2 hash browns, tomatoes, baked beans, black pudding, fried egg and 2 rounds of toast £5.50. The bacon was excellent, lean thick and tasty. Only complaints were a hard fried egg and the mug of tea which was poured from a large pot behind the counter (£1.25) and was stewed and not the best cup I have ever had. Having said that the Lavazza coffee (Americano £2, Cappuccino £2.50) we had after the meal was excellent. Recommended and we will be returning

Nestled on the Worcestershire and Shropshire borders alongside the river Severn sits the picturesque town of Bewdley, known for its Georgian architecture and quaint black and white cottages, with stunning Riverside frontage. Alongside the seemingly tranquil River on the north side of Bewdley bridge, you will find us at The Mug House Inn, Bewdley's finest River view Inn and AA Rosette Restaurant. Where you can also take the opportunity to extend your visit by staying in our Riverside bed and breakfast accommodation. A warm and friendly welcome will always await you when you wander into this wonderful old Inn. The Mug House is the perfect platform after a good nights rest in the AA 4 star B&B accommodation for those exhilarating walks along the River to see, hear and take in the panoramic views and wildlife in and around Bewdley. Other attractions include the Severn Valley Railway, which continues to Kidderminster and Bridgnorth. Slightly further a field is the city of Worcester and the Malvern Hills in Worcestershire
Went to the restaurant for an anniversary meal. The food was really good with a reasonable amount of dishes to choose from. The service was friendly and helpful. The only negative was the layout of the menu.....it took a few minutes and careful focus to get past the predominately blue background. The current layout, background colour and level of lighting in the restaurant does not lend itself to easy Reading.

Called with my son for first time having checked out reviews. Very pleasant staff and varied menu but have to say was surprised how expensive it was. I must be spoilt living in Stourbridge having Lye on my doorstep! For a curry I don't believe in paying a premium just because it's Bewdley sorry.
I don't plan on returning and will stay local next time.

I have been going to TLPH for a good few years now and it's consistently great.
There is one (and could be a massive problem for some couples) issue and that's there are no high chairs. The bar area to be fair isn't the biggest, we dine in there as we take our dog along, so perhaps a room full of high chairs wouldn't be practical, but still, one or two would help.
Anyhow, onto the food!! Amazing! My wife had roast beef and I had roast crown of Turkey and it was yummy! Ample veggie to accompany, plus colliflower cheese!
Great selection of ales (proper job, town crier) plus largers.
Keep doing what your doing and don't change. Thumbs up!!

We visited the Rock cross tavern today for a drink and Sunday lunch. The beer was first class and our dinner was faultless, the food was hot with a good variety of vegetables, i would go as far as this was one of the best sunday dinners i have ever had, James is a fantastic landlord and the locals were very friendly, this is a pub which i would highly recommend .
