My husband's brother and his bride to be had selected this restaurant for their wedding dinner; we now know why. The various members of our group (some twenty odd persons) were all individually welcomed by the hostess, who showed us our table. Inside we were presentedwith a glass of sparkling wine. We were, then, treated to a seven-course dinner, a whole range of dishes all delicious and all beautifully arranged on tasteful dinner service. There was plenty of time in between courses to go outside fro a stroll or a cigarette or simple to have a chat with someone other than our partner at table. We wound up with coffe or tea and homemade chocolate delicacies.
As the bride and groom paid for everything we had no idea how much the dinner pro persons cost.

Eaten here a few times now, and can't really fault it.
Food and service is usually spot on. Tried numerous dishes between us, never been unhappy yet!
There's a small salad bar you can help yourself to as well.
It's nice to be greeted with an ouzo when you arrive and a liquor when the leave.

Eaten here on many occasions, never been disappointed, great food, good value & friendly service. There is always an option to have a three course meal - plenty of choice - for € 20.00.

We visited this restaurant three years ago when it was excellent.
Our expectations therefore were high on this occasion, however the service and food fell well below expectations.
We waited forever between courses, the wine was positioned well away from us and we were frequently sat with empty glasses.
Nice outside Terrace and excellent interior but sadly not what it was as a restaurant.

We stopped for lunch while driving between Bruges and Amsterdam. What a delightful surprise this was! The food was superb and the service spot on.
I had a Club Sandwich and then requested a Vanilla Ice cream. The host suggested that I might also like some strawberries to accompany the ice cream. The presentation of this dish was a work of art. Ice cream portions, strawberries and cream, plus a brandy snap. It tasted as good as it looked.
Meanwhile other guests had chosen cheese and a trolley bearing a huge variety of cheeses was produced. The host went out of his way to provide information about the various cheese types.
If you’re in the area it would be worth making a detour. Highly recommended.

I gave been here several times in the oast and every time I am blown away by the way the chef combines simplicity and richness of flavors. We took the combination of cold and hot starter (grande antepasti caldi e freddi) followed by the signature dish of this restaurant : (Pasta al Parmigiano) pasta prepared in cheese molten by burning whiskey. Just great showcooking at your table. Great experience. Always make Reservations to make sure you don't miss out on this opportunity to have great Italian food north of the Alps.

The Teerkamer offers two separate areas for dining, restaurant and bar, Both provide comfort for the diner. I prefer eating in the bar area because you can see the "world" pass by, The menu offers an extensive selection of mouth-watering courses and this is one of the reasons that I enjoy eating here. Spoil yourself by selecting the chef's special plate of the day and you'll be sure to return for his next masterpiece. Even when the restaurant is very busy the staff are always available to help you in a friendly manner throughout your stay.

My husband and myself had dinner in this restaurant recently. The restaurant itself is really very nice. The food is not bad, but could be better. My main course for example was fish, but the fish was definitely cooked too long and was very dry. The prices of the food and the wine are good, but the service in the restaurant really needs improvement. When we ordered our food, we also asked the wine list, but it took so long that somebody took our wine order. Actually we got our starter already before having our wine ordered. We went there on a Saturday evening, but as from 9.30 hrs pm when the restaurant got more and more empty, the people already started to clean the tables. This really gives you a feeling that you have to leave the restaurant and that the people working at the restaurant want to have everything done as soon as possible in order to be done with work quickly. I fear that we will not come back to this restaurant. As a side note, my husband also went to this restaurant with a French business partner and according to this Frenchman it was the worst dinner he ever had ......

Enjoy our traditional and modern French menu with local and worldly influences. We stand for various seasonal vegetables that come from our region of farmers and delivered fresh daily. We also serve forgotten vegetables and go for pure, healthy and local cuisine. In season we combine mild salty asparagus of the Brabantse Wal ; Bergen op Zoom is the cradle of the Dutch asparagus culture. We have 36 restaurant seats in an 18th century decor, rooms for private dining and besides that we also happen to have 62 hotel rooms. Our new logo represents ‘culinair genieten’ which literally translates into enjoying on a culinary level. The wineglass in the logo reflects to beverages, the cutlery for the honest dishes that we serve and grain stands for hospitality since the Middle ages. To top it all of the crown Marquis represents the city of the Marquis: Bergen op Zoom. The Menu Enjoy our classic and modern French menu with local and global influences. In our menu you can find a choice menu and of course you can also enjoy à la carte! The menu is created consciously by our Chef, as you can see we solely work with honest (local) products.
We were able to have a lovely dinner at the Hemingway. It was last minute but they accommodated us without any problem. The Waitstaff was spot on right from the beginning, with explaining the special that they offered along with clearly describing our entree questions. We both felt pampered and were blown away by the presentation of our meals. I had the codfish special with a lobster sauce, my boyfriend had the French farm chicken, his plate was a masterpiece! Well worth the cost of the meals! Thanks to the Waitstaff and chef for making our stay in Bergen op Zoom one that I will always remember. Would I go back again, yes!
