The oldest Trattoria in town, "Nunzia" is a celebrity here. With a home-style traditional cooking using the most genuine local ingredients, this restaurant will satisfy any gourmet in search of autentic local cuisine at affordable prices. Good wine list with the best local wines. Highly recommended by most guides.
A great recommendation from our hotel with fabulous home cooking and a welcoming feel to it. We started with antipasti - prosciutto with mozzarella; the mozzarella was melt in your mouth fresh and the best I've had. The house specialty pasta was excellent - fresh pasta with tomato, basil and perfectly cooked. And because we thought we had to we tried dessert - the Coffee Creme Brulee was a fantastic dessert as was the nougat ice cream with home made chocolate sauce. Really enjoyable, home cooked Italian served in a friendly atmosphere at a great price. What more could you ask for!

This restaurant is well hidden in a side alley of the main street of Benevento (Corso Garibaldi): only those who know that it exists could find it (but we knew....). It was a pleasant surprise, in many senses.
First, of course, the food. The menu features dishes prepared almost exclusively with local produce, and cooked with skill and original (but not extravagant) recipes. That at least is what we could experience with delicious dishes that we ordered: spaghetti "Vucciria" (tomato and a blend of spices), "Troccoli" (spaghetti with square section) shepherd style, ie with sausage and ricotta cheese; pie of wild vegetables; pork with almonds and chestnut honey. All accompanied by a glass of local wine "Aglianico". Very fair price in relation to quality: 48 € for two people. Every recipe has been kindly illustrated by Debora, who manages the property with Marco; and who appeared to us - through her fascinating conversation - to be very committed to enhancing (not only with food) the culture of her city and of the territory.
In short, it was an experience truly out of the ordinary: I recommend it without any doubt.

Gino and Pina, a great traditional restaurant (quoted on all the most important guides in the industry) is one of the oldest and most famous of the city of BeneventoThe venue is easily accessible, is located in the heart of the city of Benevento, where Gino Palmieri and Pina are ready to stimulate your curiosity with an extensive menu of land and sea. Our dishes will capture the freshness and quality of used products, which are purchased daily at the nearby market where you can still find farmers who sell genuine products of their farms, which are then prepared with our extra virgin olive oil produced in the small farm located in Pietrelcina. The culinary elaborations start at some points of Benevento traditional real kitchen, with a careful implementation of the oldest Sunni and regional recipes. Particular emphasis on fish dishes (which arrives daily from the Adriatic Sea), will satisfy the most demanding customers.
We had dinner recently at this restaurant and very pleased. They offer a very varied menu with many choices of appetizers-pasta dishes-meat and fish dishes-They also have a large selection of pizza choices. There is parking available and there are two dinning rooms. The prices are very reasonable and the waitresses are very good-Highly recommended

This is a more “haute” restaurant than you would expect to find in Benevento, but it more than justifies its reputation and its prices and has not a trace of pretentiousness. The room is beautiful and the service is perfectly professional and attentive.
A tiny amuse-bouche consisted of ceci “drunk” with rice crispies, a totally inadequate description. One of our primi was a plate of lonza grassa di suino chiaro del Sannio, a local specialty. The thin slices of lean pork loin with fat around the edges were beautiful to look at as well as to eat. The other primo, a vellutata of finocchio with baccala and toasted almonds, seemed a bit fussy from the description, but turned out to be a masterly creation.
Both of our secondi were surprising and exceptionally good. My dish of spaghettoni with ragu looked exactly like the traditional pasta with ragu from anywhere in Italy, but this had octopus instead of ground meat. It was magnificent. The pork fillets with gorgonzola sauce were also a gem, and no, the gorgonzola did not overwhelm the pork.
Our wine was a local aglianico from the Ocone winery, “Pezza la Corte” 2003. At the end of the meal we were offered an amaro, also a local product, which reminded us of the Padre Peppe we had in Basilicata last year.

Went to dinner with some local business colleagues, and had a really wonderful time. All the dishes (pictures attached) were fantastic, made with fresh fish and vegetables. The service was very attentive, and all in all we had a great dining experience. Very recommended!

Risto-pub birreria
I was there last Saturday and I really appreciated the atmosphere, the food and the beer! I could suggest the greek pita (it's a good Italian adaptation of the original one), and also the apetizers are very good!
I recomend to make a reservation before visiting, otherwise you could have to wait a bit before getting in!
Very good!
