When we boast that there is something for everyone, it's not without merit. There are classic items and ones that are completely original and unique. And then there are the wings... A lot of places talk a good buffalo wing, but the "Chegg" as it is now commonly known, truly delivers. The wings are big, juicy and available in 17 sauces, both Original Breaded, or Naked. The Chicken or the Egg has become know locally and Nationally for these big beauties. And best of all, the whole menu (breakfast too) is available 24 hours a day (in season). But for us, it's not just about the food. It's about family. It's about camaraderie. It' s about good times. So come io in and join the family. Join the fun. You'll be happy you did. Oh, and sorry about the lines. People dig us. But it' s worth the wait.
Had a nice breakfast here, It was off season, so no crowds, although I don't think it was that good to wait an hour to get in. Food was tasty, the bacon was delicious and the eggs were good, but nothing special. Our server was nice and efficient.

We drove from Galloway, NJ to Beach Haven, LBI just for Elephant ears. I grew up on LBI. A LOT of years later--they taste exactly the same----sooooooo soooooo good. I bought a bunch of them for my brother and sister in law and our beach block down in Ventnor. A long drive, so messy, lots of calories and ohhhh soooo worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Long Beach Island tradition since 1978, we serve a wide array of hard and soft ice cream, old fashioned shakes and sundaes and make our popular ice cream cakes fresh in the store daily.
We generally end up getting ice cream closer to Fantasy Island and haven't tried skipper dipper until this year and we were missing alot! Absolutely delicious ice cream!
I ordered a birthday cake for my daughter before leaving for vacation as she was celebrating her birthday while we were going to be on LBI. They were extremely accommodating on the phone and offered suggestions for the cake as well as helping me with combining flavors and fillings. They inquired how many people we would have and matched me with the perfect sized ice cream cake. Upon pick up, Kylie waited on me and the cake was decorated beautifully and ready when they promised it would be. They even threw in a package of candles which was fabulous because I had forgot to bring some!
The cake was incredible and everyone raved how scrumptious the ice cream was and we went back again later in the week for ice cream after dinner a few times.
We will be adding skipper dipper to our favorites and stopping in again next visit
Prices are about average for this area

2017 Marks Tom's 23rd year as the proprietor of Uncle Will's. In 1996, Margie came to Beach Haven. She worked as a hostess the summer of 1996 and soon after Tom & she started dating. They married in 1999 and have been working side by side at Uncle Will's ever since. Along with the ever growing and changing Uncle Will's staff/family, they have maintained the original charm of Uncle Will's & have added some updates (including dinner in 2007!) That have helped Uncle Will's to be a mainstay in town & a special place for families to return to each year when they vacation on LBI. When Sandy hit in October, 2012, Uncle Will's was flooded by over four feet of water. It was a sad & devastating event but thanks to months of endless work, Tom rebuilt Uncle Will's with the help of talented friends, Filemon, Willie, and multiple professionals whose skills and labor brought Uncle Will's back to life. We reopened in March, 2013 and are glad to be a part of the community again. The history of Uncle Will's would not be complete without recognizing, with true gratitude & love, our loyal customers. We have been fortunate to have met such wonderful people through the years. Families have grown before our eyes! We've shared in your laughter and joy, your tears and sadness, & we look forward to seeing you every time you enter our door. We cannot thank you enough for your support. And to all of the customers we are meeting for the first time, "Welcome!"
Will's is not to be missed. Their pancakes and waffles come in a splendid array of varieties. The fruit bowls are always fresh. Omelettes and eggs Benedict are superb--especially the crab cake Benedict. My eggs are poached medium as requested, and home fries tasty. Breakfast once a week for years--morning date with my husband. Appreciate the new call ahead feature, to alleviate some of the waiting.
AND. Dinners during the season are delightful, BYOB or sample the local NJ winery, you can get a reservation, you can pay with a credit card--unlike breakfast, and the room does not roar--you can actually have a conversation.

The selection is limited but the lines are always long. They sell out of many items each day because the quality is there. Cannolis, italian cookies, biscotti, jelly donuts, and italian subs are all excellent. They make the sandwiches and stuff cannolis while you wait! Get here early if you want a particular stuffed bread or donut as the lines will be out the door.

Went for dinner on a Tuesday night in October, not many other places to eat. I never saw a menu that had a market price for flounder...seems a bit over the top. We chose crab cake sandwiches instead of the dinners....crab cakes were excellent. Service was excellent but I thought the prices were crazy.

I have been coming here since I was a little kid living my summers on the island and nothing has changed since the 80's. They are serving up family friendly (& wallet friendly) beach burgers/fries and large variety of homemade cakes. (My grandpa would tell me to tell you to try the relish on your burger) Take the kids. You can even get away with sandy feet! =)

Glorious Food - Gracious Lodging or a dining experience that is an exercise in the sensuous, the savory and the sweet, look no further than The Gables, a romantic restaurant in Beach Haven, New Jersey. Regardless of whether you choose our exciting, new Grazing Menu, or dine a la carte, candlelight dining at The Gables Inn and Restaurant makes any day a special occasion. Meals are brilliantly orchestrated by our Chef, Richard Diemer. Every dish manages to wow, comfort and excite. Presentations are lovely without being pretentious. Menus change daily; culinary inspiration is drawn from whatever impeccably fresh ingredients are at their best that morning. Produce from local New Jersey farms, micro greens from Blue Moon Acres, Buckingham, Pennsylvania, Niman Ranch organic meats, D’Artagnan organic poultry, fresh diver scallops from Long Beach Island’s surrounding waters, Prince Edward Island mussels, and lobsters exclusively from Maine, take pride of place. We also take pleasure in presenting a selection of award-winning wines from NJ’s Bellview Winery to enhance your enjoyment.
Surprised our sister for her birthday to dine at the Gables, one of her favorite restaurants. All four of us had delicious meals. The dining experience started with the delicious Burrata one of the best we've had ever! Also ordered the Carb special appetizer with corn and Avocado, the carb was amazingly sweet! The last app we ordered was the fried mushrooms with ginger...they were ok, but the other two were 5 star apps. The entrees were do yummy, the local scallops, the bone in filet along with the knocchi were amazing. Everything was cooked perfectly! Dessert was a lovely ending...the peach cheese cake and chocolate lava cake were beautifully presented, although abit dense. We can't wait to come back, we lived sitting in the courtyard it was a perfect September evening!

Everyone knows that Ben and Jerry's stands out as one of the best ice cream brands in the world. Here in Beach Haven, NJ, B&J is fast becoming an institution. With an assortment of flavors and toppings, a cone, bowl or shake is now available in the heart of the Jersey shore. They even have a couple of the new vegan flavors, including the amazing Almond Brittle!

We stopped in for sandwiches as the market was recommended by a fellow traveler. They have many nice offerings in their deli case. Salads and items that can be heated up. We ordered off their lunch menu 2 Turkey sandwiches. The Fairview and Turkey Joe. Both delicious! Boxed perfectly for the beach with a pickle. They also have breakfast items plus pick up items (fruit, biscotti etc). Definitely worth a visit
