Bayan Lepas is a town in the Southwest Penang Island District, Penang, Malaysia, near the southeastern tip of Penang Island. Founded in the 19th century, it is now home to the Penang International Airport and an eponymous Free Industrial Zone, dubbed the Silicon Valley of the East due to its size. Various multinational electronic and engineering firms, including Bosch, Motorola, Dell, Intel and Hewlett-Packard, have set up factories and assembly plants within the town.

We stopped by for a quick bite after a movie - their wanton duck noodles was pretty good, the noodles has the right "spring" to it. Duck was a bit bony but tasted fine. The braised beancurd skin was tasty while their "lau sar pau" was too runny. Generally, as in the past, their food tasted good, but I find their prices a bit exorbitant, even by US standards. How in the world do the Penangites afford to eat here regularly? A roasted goose for over RM 200? Somebody killed a golden goose for this dish!
BTW, no credit card use for amounts less than RM50 ...

Brought two of my customers here after a trip back from Ipoh.
Ordered salmon skin salad, miso soup, cawanmushi, 2 serves of sashimi moriwase, salt grilled cod, 2 serves of grilled prawns and a teppanyaki chicken. For carb, we ordered garlic fried rice.
Food and service were both excellent. Only disappointment is my favorite mochi is no longer on the menu!

We came to Restoran Khun on our last night on Penang Island and we are so glad we did. A Grab driver had recommended Bayan Lepas as a different area to visit and dine. We chose Restoran Khun based on TA reviews and photos. It was quite the drive especially with traffic and we were a little worried how we would get home as it seemed quite remote – from memory Grab one way was around 15 MYR. It all worked out very well though and we only had to wait about 10 minutes though for a Grab driver. The location was beautiful, the service very friendly, the Thai food was good (not fabulous but good) and the price exceptional. We would recommend this as a beautiful relaxed destination for some Thai food.

Getting to this restuarant is really challenging without Waze.The tedious ride there is worthwhile.The dishes are well-prepared,cooked and delicious.The ones I relished are the baked crabs(Kung po),claypot fish,tender pork ribs.curry shrimps in the coconut,sautéed mantis(Lai Liew Har) and calamari.We had in total 9 dishes.The bill was fair for a party of 16.Not forgetting the superb fried rice n seafood omelet.Lastly,the view of the sunset is invigorating.

This little home-base western restaurant has been around for over 15 years. Recommended by a local friend who frequented the restaurant since its opening, I was impressed by the best selling dishes like chicken chop, and fish and chips which are simply delicious. Too bad they no longer serve the legendary spring rolls. I will come back again for simple yet sumptuous dinner.

On 24th Oct, after my convocation at USM, my parents, boyfriend & me went to Azuma Japanese Restaurant at Queensbay Mall for dinner. I specifically chose Queensbay because it is near to USM. Azuma is at Level 2, South Zone of Queensbay, just next to Harvey Norman. Azuma has large, transparent windows overlooking the bay and parking lots, thus tempting our curiosity and tastebuds at the same time. For those who love to have the ready-made sushi, you can always choose the seats that are next to the kaitan belt where the sushi are just within reach by hand. I like the service there, they keep coming to refill our hot green tea. Overall, the food is yummy, they serve nice and authentic Japanese food.

Boasting variety of hawker stalls, Super Tanker is one of my favorites. Few of their hawker stalls are above par ie Morning: Hokkien mee; Chicken rice; nasi lemak Evening: Chicken Rice (both dark and steamed) - 2 different stall; Hokkien mee; Rojak;
