Known for its restorative wonders, Bath was once the home of Jane Austen. Sure, you could attempt to conjure up this elegant city by reading Pride and Prejudice in your tub, but as Bath has a lot more history than your bathroom (we assume, anyway) you'd be missing out. A stroll through Bath is like visiting an open-air museum, with roughly 5,000 buildings in the city drawing notice for their architectural merit. After your stroll, soak in the natural hot waters of the Thermae Bath Spa, once a favorite of the Celts and Romans.

Firehouse Rotisserie ha been popular in Bath Serving delicious food with a hint of Southern California. Friendly staff and a warm interior, with a lovely wine list and A menu based around free range rotisserie chicken in three flavours. Also prime steak, great burgers and stone baked pizza plus fresh fish And eclectic dishes.
I took my grandsons to the theatre and, as a treat, we had lunch at The Firehouse. From the moment we went in and were greeted with such warmth and a friendly welcome, this set it apart from the more pedestrian establishments. The care taken...MoreThank You for your lovely review, You have captured the spirit of our little restaurant. We hope we will see you soon . Richard and the Firehouse Team !!

Small, busy, much admired, family-run restaurant; serving seasonal, locally sourced, freshly cooked food; charming and welcoming staff; sensible and honest prices. Set in a fine Georgian house in Bath's most beautiful position - between The Circus and The Royal Crescent. Voted number 4 in the United Kingdom by The Times "Twenty secret restaurants that foodies love". Bookings advised.
I can't fault this restaurant. The food was incredible and the service was brilliant. We struggled to get a booking a couple for days in advance, so booked a later reservation, but when we called on the day they managed to fit us in earlier...MoreThank you very much for your positive review of The Circus Restaurant. We really value it and look forward to seeing you again

Raphael restaurant is a much loved restaurant located in the heart of the beautiful city of Bath. Open since 2001 Raphael has established an excellent reputation for serving fabulous European inspired modern British food. Raphael has a cosy atmosphere and exquisite food, perfect for leisurely lunches, pre-theatre dining and intimate meals for two, the ideal place for any occasion. The head chef and his team create imaginative dishes using the freshest local produce available, with the emphasis on seasonality. At Raphael all of the mouth-watering desserts are made in-house, including the delicious ice-creams and sorbets. The friendly and professional staff welcome you warmly, whether you area visitor to the city or one of the regular clientele, many of whom have become good friends over the years. The wine list has been carefully chosen to ensure wines that complement the food perfectly, with reasonable prices, coupled with some amazing bin-ends.
Business lunch to celebrate a retirement. Excellent service, fabulous food and would definitely recommend set lunch menu. Worked our way through drinks menu too. Fab Prosecco and good half bottle selection of reds too.

Menu Gordon Jones is all about amazing food, with an element of surprise. All Chef's menus are seasonal, locally sourced and offer real value for money. To really tickle your taste buds try our dishes, all served by our friendly staff in a funky setting.
From the location and choice of the building, the decor, the tableware and especially the food, this tiny restaurant defies all expectation.
Each course features hugely imaginative and perfectly executed flavour combinations. The degree of experimentation is obvious, but what really comes across is how well rehearsed it all is. These dishes have clearly been developed over many iterations.
Service is very well paced - brisk but relaxed and never rushed.
Wine is perfectly paired, unusual and well researched.
At £50, lunch is very very good value for money. We’ve eaten in many places costing twice as much and not delivering half of the experience of this.
Best restaurant of the year by some margin.

BOOKING IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. We are closed from 1st-14th August, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Easter Sunday & from 1st-14th January. Situated just a few steps away from the Roman Baths, our attractive and atmospheric restaurant is located in a charming candle lit historical cellar of natural Bath stone with vaulted ceilings throughout, and resembles the cavernous cellars of an Italian grotto. The main characteristic of our cuisine is its simplicity. We rely on the quality of our ingredients rather than on elaborate preparation. We also like to offer traditional Italian dishes with a contemporary twist because we strongly believe in those 'Sapori' (flavours). With our finest ingredients coming from Italy, and all of our fresh vegetables, seafood and meats sourced locally, we are able to ensure high quality dining that will exceed your expectations.
I took 2 friends to dinner In Sotto Sotto on 26 March. Booking was easy and they confirmed by phone the day before - nice touch! The initial welcome was warm and genuine, wine and food were very good (Bath prices, but London standards), and table service was outstanding. Book early. Well worth a visit!

We booked lunch at Claytons kitchen for my Mother, her 4 daughters and her Granddaughter (so table for 6) for Mothers Day. Booking through the website was easy and quick and despite arriving 15 minutes early, our table was already ready.
The restaurant is small but lovely and the food was much, much better than we expected. We thought it would be good, based on the reviews - but everything (even the side dishes) was exceptional. I had the goats cheese salad and typically, you might expect small crumbly bits of goats cheese with the roasted butternut squash - You got two MASSIVE goats cheese wheels which was really tasty and very filling. The sweet potato fries were also really well done.
Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well and the waitress feigned interest in my Nieces 'My Little Pony' - A nice touch, considering some restaurants aren't too keen on small children.
Absolutely brilliant food and we'd certainly look to come back again.

Set in the heart of Bath but at the same time slightly off the beaten track. Barton Street Wine Bar is the perfect place to chill out with a glass/bottle of wine with a cheese & charcuturie board which many agree is the best in the city. We also stock a carefully selected range of gins and whiskies and have craft beer on tap. Music is seen as an essential part of the experience we offer so as well as the finest soul, blues and jazz played through our music system Friday and Saturday nights from 8pm you can find jazz session pianists playing our piano. We're open from 5pm Monday to Saturday. closing can be anytime up to 2am - just depends on what's happening that particular night! Come and pay us a visit.
Fabulous little wine bar, perfect corner of loveliness in busy Bath. The wine options are great, staff are friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Perfect place for catching up with one or two friends of for some time out on your own.

Bath gets new speciality pizzeria A brand new pizzeria is opened at The Corridor in Bath - but it ain't your average sort. The expert team of Italian chefs do things a little different here, and are anticipating Dough Pizza to be the first joint of its kind in the whole country. There are, in fact, 10 types of dough to decide between, ranging from the traditional kind to hemp, gluten-free and Kamut
Best pizza around for sure!! Excellent staff too. Great ambience! We loved it and will def come back on our next trip to Bath!

Really delicious falafel wrap crammed with flavour and properly fills you up. They are always friendly too, grab a wrap from Chai Walla then have a seat in Kingsmead Square and soak up the atmosphere. Perfect.
