The Denver Examiner describes our eatery as a “gem of a place”. Aspen Real Life calls our food a cure for “anyone suffering from homesickness”. And BBC America says, “Heather’s is all about comfort and warmth when it comes to both the atmosphere and the food.” Naturally, this is music to our ears, as we strive for comfort, warmth, and delight in everything we do! Whether it be Heather’s handmade pot pies, the cozy atmosphere, our gracious staff, or spirited world class entertainers – it is truly our ambition to have our guests relish everything about our establishment. We invite you to escape to our haven to find comfort in our food, feel unhurried by our service, be swept away with the music, and revel in good cheer.
Chicken pot pie followed by fresh homade desserts (especially seasonal berry pie), served by friendly efficient staff and all at excellent value prices. What more needs to be said. You won't be disappointed.

Located near the end of the main street in Basalt this place is not easy to spot. Coffee is good with a range of very tasty pastries, wraps and sandwiches available. Quiet without the inevitable background music usually found in these places which makes it all the more enjoyable. Outside seating and a range of local magazines and newspapers readily available. Free wi-fi

Stopped here several times this visit - tried the soft serve and fixings by weight - Excellent! Later, had the sunrise smoothy - fruity and good, but soft serve is better. They are having difficulty with their Kona Coffee smoothy, can't seem to figure out what is going wrong with the machine. I plan to go back and try the gelato! Good service, could stand to be open a little later to capture the after dinner crowd. FIxings choices are extensive and well maintained. Very clean store.

We are a neighborhood-oriented, made from scratch, casual restaurant. The feel is young, hip transcending the perception of BBQ restaurants past. Serving a variety of draft and bottled microbrews representing local breweries and popular brews from great BBQ regions (Texas, the Carolinas, Memphis/Arkansas and Kansas City) we feature an approachable wine list and a full line of spirits. The menu is driven by the chefs and their Southern roots, the Great American BBQ traditions as well as seasonal and regional products.
Great Smoke house stopped and had a beer and dinner with friends. Some of the best pulled port that I ever had with the choice of 4 different sauces at the table. They were very busy but got us in right away and were very...MoreThanks so much for your comments, and we look forward to hosting you again soon.

Employees here are nice and quick. I usually order mobile to-go on my app and it is ready within 3 minutes. The space is clean and inviting. The store is a little bit long and narrow but that is certainly tolerable. Free wi-if of course.

Cafe Bernard is a cozy neighborhood cafe serving breakfast, lunch and dinner since 1990. With just eight tables--and a few more on the sidewalk during the warmer months--we hope you won't mind a short wait if we are busy. We use the highest quality ingredients and support our local farmers and food purveyors. Our menu reflects the French influence of owner Bernard Moffroid with buttery croissants and omelets in the mornings and a wide selection of flavorful meals served at dinner. The wine list is currently featuring the chateaux of Bordeaux along with many fine West Coast vintners. Reservations suggested for dinner.
My wife and I were visiting my cousin and his wife who live in the area and they suggested we eat a late breakfast here after we had hiked Lake Maroon. The cafe was easy to find with nearby parking. The decor is country French and though nothing fancy was comfortable. I had waffles and they were delicious. The others had various eggs and they also enjoyed their meals. The server was super friendly and very efficient. The prices were reasonable. We would return for another meal and recommend it for your dining pleasure.

I've been stopping in here for years when I'm in the area because of the excellent attention to coffee, friendly and attentive service and the comfortable ambiance, with inside or outside seating areas. The new, affable owner, Jerami, has raised even that already high bar with his knowledge, interest and enthusiasm about coffee and preparing a truly tasty, satisfying brew. Better than ever! Enough food choices to go along with whatever your choice of beverage.

Today we were hungry for a juicy, old-fashioned burger so headed out to Sure Thing. So disappointing! Yes, the burger was big and juicy, but had absolutely no flavor. The sauce was mayo-like, but runny. We tried adding salt but then just had a salty burger
In contrast to the mediocre hamburger, the French fries were delicious.
Too much good food competition in the Roaring Fork Valley so won't be returning.

The setting is tranquil, and the décor a typical mountain experience. Casual with friendly service. We had their two soup options, one of which was the chili. It was very tasty (a tad cold, though). Next up was the brisket of beef sandwich. Too heavy a hand with the BBQ sauce. The fries were superb. Had their local IPA, in fact had two, and they were fantastic! Would go back for sure ...
