Authentic Greek Cuisine, Dine in or Pick up & We Deliver With Uber EATS.
You will not be disappointed in this restaurant. The food is fantastic. I ordered the lamb kabobs and it was the best I've tasted. The service is exceptional. It is a family run business and they are very kind. We have been to this location several times and have never been disappointed. The cost is affordable. Be sure you check the hours prior to arriving. We have previously gone on the weekends so we were aware of the late opening, but we went on a weeknight and they closed at 8pm. They were very kind and did not kick us out although we delayed closing.

We purchased about a dozen conchas. Also, the cheese turnover and pineapple turnover. Everything was super delicious. I already want to go back and get more.

Very tasty & large portions. My wife & I split a 2 meat plate and we had more than enough. The brocolli salad & Cole slaw were our 2 chosen sides and they were both very good. The 2 employees on duty were nice & also gave us information on where to go to get a headlight replaced. We would eat here again & recommend to others. Bathrooms were also very clean.

I was very pleased with our visit. I had customers in from Wisconsin and we decided to give Salt grass a try. Our waitress was very pleasant and took good care of our needs. The food was prepared perfectly and we ended up at the bar for a couple of drinks afterwards. I highly recommend giving them a shot?

If you need gas or want to get gas, stop in here. They have fabulous interior, full service food bars, laundromat, TV's while you wait, men's rooms were so elegant and clean, it was like an opera house. Great store for truckers or travelers and great prices on gas. You have to see this!

The employees were very friendly & lady @ register actually knew her locals. The place is small but overall it was clean. Service was quick as a fast food place should be. The food was hot & did not have the taste of being old or have been sitting under the light for hours at a time.

Great for on the go, fast service. They have a happy hour on their margaritas, always a plus. Food is fresh, not frozen.

The House of Gyros is the only Authentic Greek Style Restaurant and Cafe to make and serve the true original Gyro and the Pork Gyro made just like the ones you will find in the heart of downtown Athens.
(Just for clarity - TripAdvisor has "The House of Gyros" and "Yia Yia's House of Gyros" listed as two separate restaurants. They are, in fact, the same restaurant).
Our entire family of nine found this restaurant when looking for a non-chain dining option for dinner before the Mesquite Rodeo last week. It was a complete diamond in the rough and worth every positive review written. Our party's ages ranged from 80 down to two, but there was something for everyone on the menu at reasonable prices.
We arrived shortly after 5pm on a Saturday evening and were seated almost immediately after the wait staff arranged three tables together for us. The restaurant is small and the air conditioning isn't the best (dress accordingly), but the friendly wait staff and excellent food made up for it. The decor inside is playful and makes several fun references to the movie - "My Big Fat Greek Wedding".
We only ordered one hummus appetizer for the table, but they brought us a second serving of their tzatziki sauce and pita appetizer on the house. Both appetizers were excellent and served hot. They do warn you that their food is made to order, so it may take a little longer than usual. Most of our party ordered the gyro with fries (~$8), but another family member ordered the baked Greek lasagna (Pastitsio) and Gyro Plate, both of which were excellent. These gyros were some of the best we've ever had. The pita was fresh and hot, the lamb was tender with crispy bits mixed throughout, the tomatoes fresh, and the tzatziki sauce an excellent balance to the overall dish. The chicken pita was also exceptional, although not typical Greek food. Throughout our meal, the staff was friendly and attentive. Even though we didn't order dessert, they brought us several servings of a traditional Greek honey puff dessert (Loukoumades) on the house. It was an excellent way to conclude dinner and left us with a friendly finish for our friends at the House of Gyros.
If you're ever in Mesquite, TX for the rodeo or just passing through, make sure to go out of your way to stop and eat here. You won't be disappointed.

I've eaten mostly breakfast at this location and one time, dinner where I got the Grilled Chicken Sandwich. It was great and didn't have all the extra fat calories from fried chicken.
I usually get the biscuit breakfast because I'm in this area during the mornings more than the evenings. But each time I eat here, I get great food and served by great employees. I've never had a single complaint regarding this location.
