We ate at the smiling coast when they had a band playing. It was busy but the service was good and the food arrived reasonably quickly. Good and tasty and reasonably priced. Enjoy the band also.

We visited 3 times during our stay at Ocean Bay. We had the Gambian dishes on each visit. The Prawn Benachin & Yasa were tasty and the fish was also good on our first visit.
The second time we ordered the fish it wasn’t very pleasant. Instead of a piece of fish, it was little bits mashed up in the sauce. There was some discussion about lack of fish at the market. It would have been better not to offer it on the menu if they can’t get the ingredients.
The live music from across the road always made for a fun evening.

Spacious Gardens with plenty of rooms between the tables, especially for a more romantic occasion. The buffet allows you to choose and mix your own ingredients which are then individually cooked in a wok. Several choices of sauces for varying tastes. Just different!

This restaurant is in the Senegambia strip and very much part of the tourist scene. Great food at very reasonable prices, but best thing is the staff are always 'on it' - they are very efficient and friendly and always busy and energetic. Loads on the menu, and I can certainly vouch for the chicken and pizzas. A firm favourite with my friends and me.

I am at a loss as to why people rave about this restaurant. I think you pay for the surroundings rather than the food. Contrary to what is said, this is not the best place to have a steak. That honour goes to Alex Bar.

El Sol, Mexican Cuisine & Beyond is a restaurant serving modern Mexican and international food in a trendy and cosy setting at affordable prices. Located in the Senegambia area 50 steps away from Aquarius Night Club Kololi. Enjoy pre-dinner cocktails at our bar or have some tapas and drinks on our Terrace. We are now also open for lunch with a new menu of light bites, salads, burgers, sandwiches and some of our best tapas.
Went there in January with friends of me who know the owner. Then the food were excellent the portions ok and you got full, service good.
Next time we went there was without my friend who know the owner. Then the service were very low, the food portions very small.
We choose fright potatoes and got sex thin slice for a main course.
Had asked for extra vegetables but we didn’t got it.
The place is clean what is positive.
How can a place treat people different depending of who you know! The bribing culture is all Owen. That’s so terrible bad so I can’t find words.

What could be better than sipping cocktails - eating delicious garlic prawns or excellent steak kebabs - whilst watch crocodiles lumbering passed??? Really great place to sit and watch the river and the wild life!! If you feel adventurous you can walk back - through Baka market - the Botanical Garden - or the fishing village. It is at Cape Point which is taxi ride from the main resorts in Kololi - but well worth it!!

A few minutes walk from our hotel, the staff are welcoming and the menu offers a reasonable choice. The food was good but don't go if you are in a hurry as the restaurant is popular but there aren't many staff so service can be a bit slow. That said, we would return as it is a nice plCe to eat.
