Baguio, perched high in the Cordillera Central Mountains, is a great place to escape the heat of the Philippine lowlands. Camp John Hay, originally built as a recreation area for U.S. soldiers, now is a full-fledged resort complete with a world-class golf course. Definitely stop at the city market, where you can buy almost anything (just be prepared to haggle).

Kidlat Tahimik's Oh My Gulay is a must-visit place on Session Road in Baguio. The view of the city it offers is breathtaking. OMG is great for the whole family but everyone should be prepared to climb several flights of stairs to the place. The menu will make Heneral Luna proud!
This is my second visit and I always ask for their hot coco. Reminds me of what my mother used to prepare for us when we were kids.

I would always look forward to our trips to Baguio because it meant having a wonderful dinner at Forest House. Unfortunately, my last visit was a huge disappointment, mainly because they have removed the bagnet entree from the menu and only the bagnet appetizer remains. Had repeatedly mentioned to the server when we were ordering that I wanted several orders of the 'family serving size' of the bagnet which is good for around 3-4 people since we were a big group. After a long wait, what was finally served were the small appetizer portions. While it may have been a case of miscommunication, the servers could have done a better job of explaining the changes in the menu.

Camp John Hay is located a little far from the Baguio center. but still can be reached via Jeepney. The jeepney is pretty frequent too. But the Jeepney will drop you at the entrance and it is a climb up from there onwards. The pine trees and the fresh air is very relaxing. There are some hotel too where you can enjoy some drinks. A must go.

A Miele Guide-awarded restaurant located in the historic Casa Vallejo. Our menu ranges from Spanish to slow-cooked meals inspired by hill stations.
I was looking forward to visiting Hill Station for all the many positive reviews so admittedly there was some expectations. However I've come to realize that the reviews we mostly focus on the ambiance and very very less about the quality of food they serve and their service.
For starters, we had Calamari and Sisig. The dip for the Calamari were tasteless, no kick/no salt/no nothing... i asked for Aoili so to understand their quality. Sisig is okay, again very average.
For mains, most of the ones I initially wanted to order such as Cambodian Chicken, Lechon Kawali with Laing and another dish were not available (we're here lunch time). So I ordered the Salpicao as recommended by the server. Salpicao was served well and tender but tasteless. Thai Seafood curry is nowhere close to anything curry. It was bland and over cooked. Finally, the Paella, is okay in terms of taste. It was a plate good for 3-4 and they served it with one slice of lemon.
Over all, sadly there's consistency to tastelessness or blandness.
Personally I think it's over rated, over priced, food is nothing special and service could be better.

Last I had a meal at Rose Bowl was in 1996 when it was located close to Burnham Park. Our Baguio family trips from the late 1980s always meant at least one dinner at Rose Bowl.
I took my kids and husband this time, when I read that Rose Bowl is still around, hoping that the food and service is still as good...and it did not disappoint!
A number of the items we used to order were not available, so we ordered other items. The lechon kawali is the most tender I have EVER had in my life!!! The sweet & sour fish fillet is good.
The waiters are still very accommodating, patient, and efficient. They still change the table cloth after each diner has left.
I am glad it is still around and it hasn’t changed. We will definitely come back!

The seafood soup was great. Tasty but not salty. Pricey but good quality japanese food with a variety to choose from. I guess this is still the best in Baguio

We are serving French Mediterranean dishes, with Filipino and Asian Cuisines. We are open from 6:00 a.m. - 12:00 m.n. We serve daily breakfast buffet, lunch, snacks & dinner. We do freshly baked breads, cakes and pastries.
If breakfast is your most important meal, then the Le Chef buffet is for you.
Unlike most restaurants that offer buffet breakfast, Le Chef changes their menu often. Nothing beats the al fresco tables which makes you feel that the rest of the day will be as amazing as your breakfast.
See if you can get a seat near the center Fountain. The view here is amazing and you get a first hand experience of the old Baguio that your parents raved about. The coffee is freshly brewed and will perk you right up.

I was about 10 years old the last time I was in Baguio City. Now several decades later and with my own daughter who's celebrating her third birthday in tow, I re-experience Baguio. My first gustatory experience of the summer capital of the Philippines is Good Taste. Looking like a mall from the outside, you will not believe how enormous this restaurant is! If I'm not mistaken, we had to eat at the 6th floor because all other floors were packed to the brim. The food is a fusion of Filipino and Chinese favorites at an affordable price. The servings per person can be shared by two. Be prepared to satisfy that belly busting hunger you have because they have tons of food you can choose from in their menu. The downside? The wait time can make a patient man go crazy. The service crew will also benefit from some training on responsiveness and genuine customer service. I would love to go back and try their other food offerings.

We started with two delicious salads- Insallata di Pollo and Marianne’ Special. To us seniors, Marianne’s Special tasted better. We had Foie Gras Pizza , White Pizza, Ala Romana Pizza, Radu Bolognese, Frutti di Mare & Ala Gamberi. Obviously, these are more than enough for six people! If not, it would have been a totally clean plate for all. We were happy & very full. Thanks too to our excellent server Mikey.

Word's can't exactly describe the taste of all the dishes at Mario's. It was a bliss eating at Mario's. Mario's salad is definitely a must try. They always serve it fresh and prepared right in front of you. Their paella is served generously with seafood. Lengua is also a must try!
