Excellent service, present but not overwhelming. Fine ingredients mixed with wisdom and cooked to perfection. Excellent clams with green sauce and fantastic fish on Spanish sauce. Hails to the chef.

We arrived at 1pm and the restaurant was empty, but the waiter told as that we could just seat on the Terrace. We seated outside and then, other waiter told us that the kitchen will open at 1.30 pm. Ok, we wait, at 1.30 pm we ask solomillo and carrillera, was good. We also asked another tapas, but this took almost 40 minutes. We asked the waiter about the delay, that told us, that we must wait more 20 minutes, but we could give up, without paying the last tapas. Was cold in the Terrace, we leaved the restaurant, after one hour, the tables inside were empty, with a lot of people waiting for table. Strange and bad service.

We just had a dinner at this restaurant. While other restaurants are very quiet, this one is almost full.
The food quality is very good and the standard of service is very professional. If you opt for fine dining your first time visit to Badajoz, this is the place you should not miss.

The view of the Guadiana river and the city from the restaurant is incredible, best view of the city.
The food is really good and well presented. I recommend you try their black rice.
Their wine menu has a very well thought selection. Some of their wines I haven't seen anywhere else.
The service is what is expected for a 5 star hotel, great service that shows up when you need them.
After eating you will feel happy and lucky enough to go downstairs to have fun and win at their casino.

We had an excellent time at this restaurant, with great food, good service and a caring owner that roamed the tables offering advice and making shut everything went smoothly.
Starting with the tasty entrées, meat grilled to perfection and the elaborate and tasty Deserts we enjoyed every bit of the time spent here, definitively a place to return to on our next visit to Badajoz.

Excellent food, great service, local restaurant.
A last minute search on TA brought us to Degusta, which happened to be only a 10 minute walk from our hotel. It is outside the Citadel on the far side of the river but definitely worth the journey. We showed up, without a reservation, on a Friday night at 8:30PM expecting the place to be busy, we were the only couple there! An empty restaurant isn't usually a good indicator but we went ahead. The staff didn't speak English and there wasn't an English menu which demonstrates that this is a restaurant use to serving local clientele, it was also fun to have to use Spanish and work our way through the menu. The waiter made several course and wine suggestions which all proved to be spot on.
By the end of out meal the place had started to liven up, I suppose the Spaniards prefer to eat much later.
This is a must do if you are in Badajoz.
