Azuga is a small resort town nestled in the mountains of Prahova county in the historical region of Muntenia, in Romania. Azuga is located at the foot of the Baiu mountains, and contains the longest ski run in Romania, the Sorica - together with other ski slopes. Formerly heavy industrialized, Azuga retains now a bottled water factory - a leftover from the famous beer factory that brewed Azuga Beer (now produced elsewhere in Romania under license), a sparkling wine factory, wine tasting and lodging (Cramele Rhein, owned by Halewood International). The beer factory, the glassware factory and the wool cloth factory were privatized and now are closed and completely demolished. The refractory materials factory, also privatized, is still standing but it is closed. The town offers a dramatic view over the Bucegi mountains, even from street level and especially from the top of the Sorica mountain (at the gondola arrival station).

It's a good choice when it comes to traditional cuisine. Not too expensive and also the serving was impeccable. The waiter was by the book. It's worth visiting. Can't say anything about the accomodation because i only went there to eat.

Have been here for two consecutive nights since we could not resist the temptation to indulge ourselves with the perfect dishes.
Have been particularly impressed by the beef, the incredible truffles and mushroom cappuccino, but really everything was just perfect. The location and service have been also world class. Congratulations and keep up the high standards.

We had our lunch in Hanul Bran restaurant which is just near by the castle. As it is off season not much visitors to the dracula castle. Ath the same time not much visitors to the town. This restaurant the lady can speak English. Serves good menu and the food is Romanian

We've been there last weekend, a group of friends with small kids (1-7 yo).
Although initially we had a good chat with the waiter, recommanding us some dishes, in the end it was an awful eating experience.
For starters there were the soups which were below regular (beef soup, beef stomach soup). The only good soup was the garlic one but unfortunately they put sugar in it to taste better.
The main course for me were the pork ribs, the more expensive ones from the two options in the menu, recommended by the waiter, which i couldn't have more than two pieces. Just awful.
My wife had a trout which must have been frozen by the way it looked and tasted, although there are fresh sources in the vicinty.
The pizza for the kids was also bad, we asked for a quattro stagioni but it was something with a lot of ham on it.
And the cherry was the behaviour of the waiter later on when he started making loud remarks about the kids being too noisy, which lacked the funny part.
My advice, don't eat here. It's not cheap and the food it's just not eatable. For sure there are better places than this.

I always visit this restaurant when I am in Predeal. Very good Romanian food and very nice atmosphere.

I've been there twice, it was the same each time. What do I start with? The appalling service or the terrible food?
The waiters could not be bothered to work there, you could barely catch them to ask for something and when you did, they looked like you disturbed them and would take ages for them to bring what you asked for.
The food was pretty bad too. My cousin had beans with smoked pork, it was so old is was fizzy, he could not eat it! The Mici had nothing to do with mici, they were just minced pork meat shaped as mici and not even fresh, it looked like they were reheated leftovers from others, although we didn't eat them, we made sure they didn't end up on someone else's plate. The fries were reheated. The couple sitting next to us, barely touched their food and sent back the dessert.
A pretty much bad experience, been there twice, two years apart, and was absolutely the same.
Although is cheap, the poor quality of food and service is not worth it. Avoid!

The food was ok, nothing great.
Good pastas, ok pork with cabbage, ok pastrami and the papanasi that are so praised not the best I’ve ate at all.
I believe that they have a problem with the condiments because the cabbage and the pastrami was very salty and to an other table someone was complaining about the fact that the food was too many peeper.
The service was good.
Overall experience was ok.

Great place with homemade warm bread and tasty local ingredients.the service was good and the food even better. From the patio you have a great view of the sky slopes and near surroundings. They even have a trampoline for the kids to jump on. Very considering and welcoming people.

After a day up on the mountain this restaurant was recommended by our taxi driver. We were very hungry and ready to eat. Both my friend and I (she is Romanian) were disappointed with the food. Average at best. I have had much better Romanian food almost everywhere. The restaurant was busy. Our waiter was good. We wanted dessert but opted to go elsewhere. I really wish I could offer a better review.
