Restaurant Typiquement Troglodyte Deux Salles Dont Une Avec Cheminee Belle Terrasse Fleurie Et Ombragee
Last night in the Loire Valley... we decided to go for this one. Close to the hotel, good recommendations, reasonable pricing... Great decision! Lovely atmosphere. Good fast and professional service. Great great great food. Everything we tried. And for a very affordable price!

Very good food, that was presented beautifully on the plate. Some superb flavors and we love all the special touches on the plate.
Enjoyed the amuses bouches with an aperitif. They had a nice wine list with reasonable prices. The wait staff was orchestrated by what I think was the wife of the chef. She ran a very professional restaurant and things went off without a hitch.
I'm sorry that the night we were there the Terrace was not open. Hopefully we will get back and can sit on the Terrace the next time.

We had a delightful dinner here in the little garden off the street, right next to the chateau. The service was very friendly and efficient. We much enjoyed the local wine and the delicious meal of terrine, millefeuille de betterave, lamb shoulder and poached pear. This seems like a must when visiting Azay-le-Rideau.

This is not a restaurant, it is a servery, where ready made food is served in what is a charming setting, with more prevention than it deserves or can muster. It is a cheap alternative to the good restaurants of azay.

Cuisine et accueil familial. Cuisine d'ici & d'ailleurs avec des produits locaux. Pas de carte à rallonge mais une ardoise du jour.
After visiting the Chateau we stopped by for a late afternoon snack. The advantage of thisplace was that it served food throughout the afternoon when other establishments tended to close around 3:00pm.
We both had the Croque Mons which was tasty. The bread particularly tasted slight of Brioche. Service was efficient and prompt with the added bonus of a menu in English, making the stop a pleasant experience

What a great find. Close to Azay-le-Rideau but away from the mass of tourists there.
A small newly refurbished hotel/restaurant. We enjoyed a fantastic set lunch of an incredibly high standard served with charm and efficiency. From the amuse bouches to the surprise extra pudding we all enjoyed every course (and we had chosen different things). The bread was notably good as well!
The wine list is good and fairly priced.

This review covers the restaurant side of the hotel; a separate entry concerns the hotel itself. As you enter the hotel you notice that the restaurant signage has been covered over and essentially the restaurant now caters for the hotel residents. This may make you wonder about the restaurant, don't be put off.
The menu offers you three choices of a starter, main and desert. Whilst it appears somewhat limited there is actually a good choice. The food is well cooked and the portion size is appropriate. Our six year old daughter was offered a menu enfant, although this was not advertised as such.
Service was good and it being a warm evening we eat in the courtyard between the two buildings.
Accept that it caters for the residents of the hotel primarily and you will have a good meal.

It looks rather ordinary, but the pastries and extrodinary! Whether you select a delicate chocolate mouse confection or a lemon tartlet, you are in for a real treat! Cramped Seating, but worth the visit. Wonderful selection of teas - in Darjeeling variety alone they had four different selections of loose tea.

Nice little place to eat, on a small square opposite a church, quiet. Limited menu but all good. Ate there twice and very pleased. Even do a veggie burger ! The couple who served the tables were pleasant, helpful and engaging. Good portions and our Picon beers contained a decent shot of Picon. I liked this place.
