We love this hotel and use it each time we holiday in Aviemore (annually). The bar is a mix of holiday makers and locals, the staff are friendly and efficient and most of all the food is delicious.
It is generally good pub food with a Scottish twist and there is a good selection of beers.
A must whilst in Aviemore.

WelcomeWhether you've something to celebrate, are at the end of a hard day's walking in the hills, or simply fancy a break from cooking at home, it is our wish at Anderson's that you all feel welcome. Forget pretence, the atmosphere here is relaxed and informal, so sit back, switch off, and savour the pleasure of great food and drink. Local Produce At Anderson's we are committed to using local Scottish produce when it is in season, so needless to say, our menu changes each month, along with our daily specials. Each dish is lovingly prepared and bought together in such a way as to bring out the very best of truly great, fresh ingredients. Although our menu is creative, our aim is simple, to present you with food that we are confident you will enjoy, and that tastes fantastic.Family Friendly The whole family is welcome at Anderson's, and it is important to us that everyone can tuck into something they will enjoy. So for children we can either offer half portions of anything on the menu, or for specific likes or dislikes, please feel comfortable to say, and the chef will be happy to come up with something to suit- within reason! Similarly please make us aware of any special dietary requirements you may have.“It’s great to see a restaurant like Andersons opening up in Boat of Garten. Owners Steve and Claire have put a huge amount of thought and effort into their set up, and their intended philosophy of utilizing the best of Scottish produce should be a real boost to the local restaurant scene. I wish them every success for the future.” Nick Nairn
We live locally and only eaten here on two occasions. We love Sunday roast so decided to pop along and give it a try.
We booked the morning f our intended visit. On arrival the restaurant was quiet but it certainly picked up through service. Service was excellent and efficient. The Sunday lunch menu was impressive with several options for starters, mains and sweets, there was also an option to have two courses and a drink for £16.95 or three courses and a drink for £19.95.
The food was delicious and presented beautifully on rustic crockery. There was two house whites, two reds and two beers to choose from. We left stuffed which is always a good sign and will definitely return.
I’d have to recommend the handmade ice cream, we both had the Madagascan vanilla which was a real treat!

Booked dinner (just as well as Roo's was busy) on a Saturday night recently. My partner and I had no hesitation in ordering a Monster Bob burger each - 2 x 8oz burgers with double cheese, bacon, onions, mushrooms and chilli, with fries and coleslaw on the side. Serving staff were efficient and friendly and food was served promptly. Just about manged to polish the burgers off (left a wee bit of seeded roll) - but be warned - the big burger is not for the faint-hearted. Very good value for money.

what can I say. A very nice place to eat. Not expensive, great food, friendly staff. We had dinner here. The buffet is worth trying, but also a normal menu is worth a try. Would come again with no hesitation ! Brilliant !!!!!

We use some of Scotland's best local produce to create healthy, wholesome & interesting food with a Kiwi twist. We opened our doors in 2004 and have been gaining awards and accolades for our antipodean style coffees, delicious breakfasts, superb lunches & fresh home baking ever since. Our service is friendly & casual with a professional team from all over the world. The café offers excellent views of the Cairngorm Mountains - enjoy our balcony area during summer and the cosy log burner to sit by during the winter months. All the pictures are of our food - why not come in and sample our hospitality when you are in the area next?
The missus and I stopped in to the Mountain Cafe for a quick drink and a slice of cake.
Two thick milkshakes and two slices of cake later, we were stuffed. I'm not a cake expert but my other is and she reckons that this place is right up there with the best. Nice milkshake too.

The Old Bridge Inn, Aviemore, offers a roaring log fire and cheerful atmosphere along with excellent food and a fine selection of cask ales and malt whiskies. It has always been a favourite haunt for those who enjoy the outdoors, while friendly staff and locals always make you welcome.
Stopped off here when travelling through and was met with a very friendly welcome! The waiting staff were chatty, the service was quick and the food was great! There was also a lot of parking and a good amount of seats for anyone worried about that.

We have been to the Winking Owl a few times and are always welcomed warmly by the lovely staff. This occasion was no different even though the restaurant was extremely busy.
Our table was ready and waiting for us and our order taken quickly. The food when it came was delicious! A good sized potion that was more than enough and of an exceptional quality. Will definitely be coming back again for more!
After our meal we moved to the bar to have a few more drinks before leaving. The staff were very attentive and pleasant to deal with, making sure that we had enough drinks without trying to oversell.
Great Food, Nice Staff and a wonderful atmosphere.

The Druie takes its name from the burn(river) that rushes behind the restaurant and always seems in a hurry to carry clear, sparkling mountain water from the Cairngorms to the River Spey. We are open daily 9.30am - 5.00pm for locally roasted coffee, locally sourced tasty lunches, leaf teas and delicious homemade cakes, with a focus on dishes prepared from lovingly home produced beef from our pedigree herd of Highland cattle, our velvety venison from the ancient forest of Rothiemurchus and seasonal produce from specialist producers, served in a relaxed, friendly environment. Whilst enjoying your coffee or lunch at the Druie, you can enjoy the exhibition of local artwork which changes each month, especially selected by Ellie, who manages the Gallery at Loch an Eilein and is also a member of Creative Cairngorms.

An authentic highland inn, offering a rustic friendly ambiance to provide a genuine taste of highland hospitality. Our food is wholesome homemade cuisine using the best local, seasonal ingredients to create a gastro-pub style menu coupled with a relaxed and friendly standard of service.
Visited for lunch whlst at the nearby Landmark Theme Park. The bar area is always a bot dark but even with the fire on the place felt cold. The food was average. Friendly staff. Could be so much more cosy.
