Here I go being picky again, but let's face it 115 euros for two isn't cheap eats - it was very good though a couple of little tings took the edge off it for us....not all the restaurants fault either to be fair.
The location is less than ideal tucked away in an ordinary residential street a pretty healthy walk from town centre...ok if your in a car, less so walking. Inside and the courtyard garden outside have been thoughtfully decorated and landscaped creating a lovely atmosphere, tasteful and chic. Service was very good, if a little formal and stiff, but pleasant enough. Our entree's fois fras for me and veloute of potmarron pumpkin were a little less than expected - ok so there's not much you can do to improve on fois gras but the veloute was , well frankly not a veloute and surprised us as its consistency was more like a pureed soup and veloutes usually have an incredible lightness to them that this lacked and it was barely warm - small details but for a higher end establishment should not happen. mains were very good pork cheek confit and pintade , very tasty and nicely presented. We opted for the cheese plate and petit salad to finish which was also very good and could easily have chosen the cheese trolly that was impressive to say the least. Wine list , well, it's Burgundy right? so no bargains in that department but we did find enough choices to meet our budget. Overall value was average but not poor....would we return......possibly but with so many choices around town it was probably a one off for us this time .......but don't be put off by this review it IS a very good restaurant.

After wandering the streets on an early Sunday evening, looking in vain for somewhere to eat, we came across this lovely Italian restaurant. The waitress was friendly, the service very fast, the food excellent and portions generous. The menu prices were very reasonable. We'd definitely eat here again (and if you're here on a Sunday, it's probably the only place open anyway!)

Restaurant proposant une cuisine locale à base de produits bruts. La carte propose des plats locaux, changeant au gré de la saison. Carte courte mais plats de qualité.
Menu gourmand for Eur29.50 includes a starter, main dish and dessert. Definitely traditional cuisine: snails, feuillete de from age, foie-gras with figues, steak with French fries, etc. More than enough in the plate... The decoration of the restaurant could be refreshed but it was pleasant....MoreMerci beaucoup de vos encouragements!

This is an intimate restaurant with tables a little closer together than I would normally like but it's still a must-visit. Service is very friendly & helpful & charming. Food quality & presentation is superb. Wines are also very nice with a fine wine selection but also more affordable wines on offer. My faux filet was gorgeous. Definitely well worth a visit, especially for a treat! Highly recommended! Essential to book. Gets full every night!

We happened upon this restaurant by chance and was so pleased that we did. The lamb and prune tagine was served with cous cous and vegetables and was piping hot and delicious. We would say not to have a starter as the main course was huge! Make sure you have a dessert though as these were to die for! The staff were very friendly and the restaurant soon filled up making for a lovely atmosphere.

We had dinner at Moulin de la Coudre during our holiday. The food was really plain, borderline greasy. For the same price in that area you can have a far better meal.
The lady owner was pleasant, the waiter a lot less. Talking to my wife who is French, he made a few rude comments..when asked if we could put the bill on our room, his answer was "of course, as it 's how it works"!

Installed either in our confortable and stylish town house or on our minimalist garden Terrace, you will enjoy a culinary experience drawing it’s influences from the best seasonal local products but also from our own garden treasures or exclusive products discovered during our travels.A list of 300 wines and 40 whiskies to choose from.
We arrived for lunch without reservation, but that was ok. Escorted into a lovely salon and given a nice table. The principle waiter (proprietor?) was exceptional, attentive, knowledgeable and truly passionate about the food served and the wines poured. His enthusiasm made this experience a five star, and the food was very good too. A nice way to lunch in Auxerre. Highly recommended (photos attached).

We fell on this place by chance while walking around Auxerre. What a great find. The staff were all helpful and friendly while maintaining efficiency. The menu was fairly limited but what we ate was of excellent quality. The wine list was pretty good too.
Overall a gem hidden away near the centre of Auxerre

The daily offering s are written on chalk boards. Only the freshest or seasonal food is served. Their house specialty is an egg dish with the most exquisite sauce. There were 4 of us for lunch and we all sampled each others dishes and each one was of the highest quality with ample portions. It is run by a husband( chef) and wife (server). Be aware, only French is spoken so having the language is needed.

After Reading the reviews on Tripadvisor we headed for Auxerre and the Gormande. We arrived at 12:30 and there were still a few tables open. By 12:35 the place had filled. And so you know, they turned people away at 1:30 even though tables had...MoreThank you very much
