The food is really good. The atmosphere is good, and the service is good. This restaurant is located in a country setting. Get ready for an old fashioned country drive. Plan ahead especially in the fall and make a destination trip while eating some of the best food in Franklin County.

In the tiny town of Labadie, MO is one market and it has 6 tables in 2 areas. My personal favorite is the back room which allows you a superb view of all the convenience store items ! You are surrounded ! But being there is such a wonderful breath of fresh air. Nothing trendy, just good folk and surprisingly good food. Personally all I ever get there is egg salad. It's made fresh each morning and has nothing but eggs and mayo. The menu is small, sandwiches and salads, but it feels GREAT to patronize a place like this.
AND A HUGE SURPRISE!!!! Phenomenal ice cream ! I'll happily exchange theirs for Ted Drewes. Minus all the gimmicky sundaes and stuff, this is just plain rich and great. They can make concretes.
Watch the wonderful array of locals and just enjoy the simplicity of the food. The folks there work hard and deserve your support !

My sister & I went to Washington for a day of shopping & lunch. We considered several other restaurants but decided on the Blue Duck because of the good reviews & it was different.
Wonderfully pleased with our orders. Sister ordered chicken Stew w/ house salad. She loved the stew.
I had spinach quiche w/ mushroom soup & fried spinach. The crust on the quiche was sooo flakey & delicious. Every thing was just perfect!!! Great place for lunch, not too busy on a cool week day. Plenty of time to eat & visit!! Not rushed & wonderful waiter !!!! Would highly recommend!!!! If I'm ever back to town, will definitely return here!!!

Kate's offers delicious food, hot & iced coffee, smoothies, and desserts! We've tried a little of everything now during several different visits. Coffee is smooth & balanced. Good to the last drop every time. Quiche and ham croissant are delicious! Bakery items are a special treat! (Try the iced banana bread!) Chocolate peanut butter smoothie is yummy! Nice area to sit inside, wifi available, and nice patio area to sit outside to enjoy the great weather! One of our favorite places to visit when in the Augusta area!

We truly enjoyed our dining experience at The Silly Goose. We decided to try the fried green tomatoes appetizer with just drinks our 1st night in Augusta. They were as good as ones we had in South Carolina at a favorite restaurant. We returned the following evening & had the conch appetizer followed by Blackened scallops & Chipotle ribs. Everything was outstanding! We can't wait until our next trip there to try more of the awesome food.

We visited in the middle of a lazy warm fall afternoon. The restaurant was empty but the beer deck was full. Nice view of the railroad tracks, other brewery buildings and river.
Sadly the waitress failed to mention they have sweet potato fries - I was offered chips, fries or Cole slaw. I LOVE sweet potato fries - but they were not on the menu or mentioned, but the table next to us had them served after we finished our meal.
Nice food - the ham was very good with Gouda cheese in the ham and cheese sandwich. The portobello mushrooms were delicious in the wrap but ask for horseradish, not ranch.
Nice beer selection - accurately described and nice variety with more than just IPAs.

We went there on Sunday October 22. The building itself has a long history as do the family that runs this. The food here is just like your mom makes. The fried chicken was perfect. The sides mashed potatoes, stewed apples, German potato salad, and slaw were perfect. Homemade biscuits and pie top it off. Would definitely recommend this if you want a wonderful home cooked meal just like at grandmas

This winery has one of the best views along the highway 94 wine Corridor. We love it best for its family friendly Friday nights which often attracts locals and folks from St. Louis. They have a nice full menu and absolutely fantastic pizza. My favorite white wine is the Natalia. Don't pass this great winery by as you drive along scenic Highway 94 between Augusta and Dutzow

The atmosphere is beautiful, free wine tasting and plenty of seating. Very dissapointed that they only serve pizza and a very small menu option. Two years agoI had a delicious meal and salad. Very dissapointed that they changed the menu.
