So like most of Katrina’s clientele, I strongly suspect the negative reviews here are to dissuade dinners and keep the line shorter. The food at Katrina’s is Perfection! The fruit is always freshly prepared and generous. I love how they do 1/2 fruit 1/2 potatoes. The Benedict is as good or better than the best chefs in NYC or SF. Freshest eggs and inventive ingredients under light lovely hollandaise. The ricotta pancakes are so good you see people order them to go after breakfast. We often laugh at people who order so much food here just to take leftovers home. Something I prefer not to do but am in the minority. Lunch is also great. Sadly they close at 2:30. Katrina’s is the best run establishment you can imagine. Staff are proactive and they could not run it any better, tables are cleared quickly, orders efficient and service is perfect. What can I say - they deserve wonderful reviews but wouldn’t it be great if it could stay a secret.

This was my first time at the new location. It has many improvements: No steps, more space. Other than that, it has the same good vibes with friendly servers and very decent chow, with some traditional super breakfasts.
I was here with some frat brothers from San Jose State. Five Spartans enjoyed long conversation with no rush for us to vamoose. All of our breakfast dishes were superb. Coffee cups were kept full. Prices remain good value.
The new water closets (compared to the old location) are another improvement. Place is immaculate. They have a full bar although they close before happy hour. This is strictly a lunch & dinner establishment. And a good one.

Brian & Lisa Ford opened Auburn Alehouse Brewery & Restaurant in 2007 in the iconic Shanghai Restaurant, embracing the building's character and colorful history in the heart of Historic Auburn. While enjoying their full bistro menu, patrons can often see Brian & his brewers making world-class beer in small batches, using only the finest malted barley and American-grown hops. With a collection of prestigious awards hanging on the wall it's easy to see why the SacBee recently said Auburn Alehouse is one of the region's premier craft breweries. Favorites include the Gold Digger IPA (CA State Fair Gold Medal Winner), Gold Country Pilsner (GABF Gold Medal Winner), Hop Donkey (GABF Silver Medal Winner) and PU240 IPA! Lunch and Dinner are served every day, while our Brunch menu is served on Saturday and Sunday from 9am-noon. Don't forget we have a dog friendly patio!
Auburn is becoming the hot spot for quality craft beer and this place is The Godfather. It might not be as well know as Knee Deep or as well-awarded as Moonraker, but the beers here are incredibly solid.
The other don’t miss here is the food. So many breweries toss in a menu just to make money. Auburn Alehouse actually cares about its food and makes an effort to provide solid quality food. Definitely try the chili. Some of the best I’ve ever had.
Their IPAs are great as well.
My only complaint about this place is the anachronistic rule about not filling growlers from other places or even those with no logos. They only fill their growlers. This is frustrating for those of us who own too many growlers and don’t need to buy another one. Hopefully they will reconsider this rule soon.

We visited per friends’ recommendations. I had a wagyu burger and Parmesan & truffle fries. The burger was good, but not as moist as I’d like. My hubby got a bacon-burger rating it was 4/5. He also had a blended root beer milkshake which was a 5/5. I had a chocolate cream pie which was yummy, but a bit too sweet for me. On Sunday at 12:30pm it was packed out with no seating, so plan accordingly.
The attached grocery store has lots of organic & homemade jellies, jams, pies, olive oils, wines, produce, etc.
We got our friends a Dutch apple pie which they seemed to enjoy.

Going for a partial day ride we began with breakfast here. We pulled up slightly before 0800 on a Wednesday. There were parking spaces in front and it was not busy inside.
I have eaten here for breakfast before and it is consistent. Large breakfast menu, large portions, friendly knowledgeable staff, and early is better as it does get crowded.
I had corned beef hash and eggs and the portions were more then I could finish.
Our waitress was very friendly and always returning to check on our coffee.
There was no rush or hurry as it never did get completely full.
Our bill was reasonable for all we had.
This is an excellent choice for a breakfast stop and I highly recommend it with remembering earlier is better. You will be back.

The Service at Tre Pazzi is right on. The Food is real Italian. The owner goes home to
Italy every year for more interesting recipes. The interior is very nice however just a little loud. The outside seating is on the main street in Downtown. Very nice place to watch the world go buy while you enjoy a nice dinner and a great glass of wine.

Same great waiter as last time--same poor facility (uncomfortable seating- loud area with co-diners. BUT- the FOOD was worth all the discomfort! The entire experience, together with slightly painful prices , was totally worth it. We will return for any 'special" occasion.

Came here for a friends birthday for food and drinks. We ordered a bunch of appetizers to share - they have great deals on wings and burgers, drinks were reasonable too. The staff were friendly and helpful. The giant spicy prawns were my favourite but the $6 wings are awesome too and you cant beat the price.

Good pizza is rare in Auburn, which makes my go-to Old Town Pizza. It's all good—the crust, the sauce, the variety of toppings, the other great menu items—including reasonable prices—make this atmospheric basement both charming and delicious. A favorite for local casual entertaining.

We have a large indoor dinning area, complete with bar & lounge. When the weather is nice, enjoy our outdoor patio. For larger groups, parties, business meetings and such we have a banquet room for rental throughout the whole year!
We revisited Monkey Cat in December and had another wonderful meal. The food is unique and the atmosphere is wonderful. There is something on the menu for everyone. Don’t miss a chance to visit this place and have a great meal.
