"Amish-style" restaurant located adjacent to and outside of Sauder Village. Interior is decorated like a "barn" with associated farming implements. We were greeted immediately upon entering and seated at a large table. All selected the buffet this day. Buffet had a large selection of hot and cold items....chicken, ham, and Turkey including dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetable, salad bar, soup, and bread pudding for $13.99 (adults). Food was frequently refreshed, hot, and tasty. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. An ice cream bar is available at $2.99. Restaurant and restrooms were clean and adjacent free parking available. Handicap accessible. Had a very enjoyable time.

If you are looking for great German Coffee Cake, Lange's Bakery is well-known in this area for serving the authenic one. I have heard their sweet rolls and bread are awesome also.

People dressed up in the time period they represent. Learn first hand about the Sauder Family. How to hand carve a barrel, see glass blowing, pottery being made and 20+ other shops and exhibits in original restored buildings. Quaint and fun. Quilt shop is huge, delicious chocolates or just enjoy learning about tin, wood, glass, pottery and more and how it was made 50 - 100 years ago.

This has been by far one of the best Dairy Queen's, I have ever been to in a long time. Good management and ownership!

I was looking for a non-fast food place to get carry-out on a Sunday. I found this place listed on Google maps and thought I would give it a try. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and chips & salsa. They asked me if I would like vegetables on the quesadilla and I said "sure." They told me 10 minutes but it was MUCH faster than that. I was happy I was out the door for $4.75. The quesadilla was delicious but it was more like a fajita because it was shy on cheese and heavy on chicken and veggies. The chips were still warm and the salsa was mild but flavorful.

The Blue is not your average restaurant. Of course, we serve the best food in Archbold, OH, but we also have great live entertainment! Come in today!
The ambiance is great, large dining room, lots of space, and very unique accents that make the place quaint. The food matches the ambiance, GREAT! We tried the caprese flatbread and it was outstanding, great crust and a flavor explosion! Warning... It's huge so share...MoreWe couldn't be happier to hear that our food, service, atmosphere, and prices were such a hit. Thank you for this GREAT review, Kevin! We'll be sure to earn that 5th bathroom star back from your wife next time. :) Sincerely, The Blue Management Team

Pizza was not what we ordered (we ordered thin crust, but received thick crust), overpriced, and the waitress never offered to correct her mistake. The milkshakes were spoiled (sour) and greatly overpriced. We're were told that they were supposed to $3.25 (instead of the menu price of $4.25 because they were using a smaller glass). We were charged $3.95 for a 12 oz. cup with only about 8 oz. of shake & about 2 oz. of whipped cream. I would normally expect at least a 16-20 oz. milkshake for the price that they were charging.
When I spoke to the owner's son about the price for the shakes, he got very defensive and arrogant with me, telling me that "This is Archbold, and we can charge those prices here." I don't need to be treated this way, and this is one establishment we won't patronize again! My wife had requested a refill on her unsweetened iced tea, and it took the waitress well over a half hour to bring her a refill! A terrible experience. We'd rather eat at Sauder's Barn Restaurant (also in Archbold) instead!
High prices and poor service!

Lunch alone , always looking for a different place. El Meson was perfect for me that day. Chips and salsa are a standard starter- never tasted perfectly salted chips, and fire roasted tomato salsa like this.
Oh, and lunch was very good also. Service and cleanliness was top shelf.

Being from the area, I had always wanted to check out this place. It is a cozy restaurant with historical personality. I thought about getting the lunch special, but then decided on the salad bar with two soups. The lettuce is very high quality - dark greens only, no cheap head lettuce. While there isn't a huge selection of other items, everything you have to choose from is delicious and great if you are a fan of eating healthy. While I only had the appetite left to try one soup, it was definitely very tasty - most likely homemade. I will be going back to try other items when I am back in town.
