Stopped here while in Ann Arbor on business. We ordered the Chili Mac and the Pad Thai. Both were fantastic and freshly prepared. We ordered several vegan baked goods since we never get vegan desserts where we're from. We had the pecan roll, Brownie, ginger snap, and the monster cookie. All were amazingly good and fresh. The restaurant is super crowded with a small dining area. The staff were all awesome and patient with us small town rookies. The parking can be challenging because of it's location, but we found a spot without too much difficulty, but be prepared to pay for parking. Next time in Ann Arbor, we'll visit again!

Pacific Rim may be suffering from success. I was informed by an employee who did not identify himself over the phone that I had a reservation for two instead of four when I called to verify. I had tried previously to directly make a reservation for my birthday. It appears the phone was out of service. There was a steady busy signal for more than an hour --no answering machine. I then went online to book through OpenTable. I submitted my request asking for a table for four at 7:15 for Friday evening. This was on Wednesday. When I received confirmation, I noted it said a table for two had been reserved. I then attempted to modify unsuccessfully. When I finally reached the restaurant answer machine, I explained the situation and then received a call back two days later. There was no apology. Instead I was told repeatedly I had made a mistake and nothing could be done. I don't think I made a mistake, and at a minimum I expected sympathy. It was a special occasion being cancelled at the last minute. I asked the yong man why he was so angry? He insisted he was not, but kept asking me what I expected him to do and repeated it was my mistake. This is not the kind of customer service one expects from an Ann Arbor institution.

Blazing hot Black Bean burger. Took the enjoyment out of eating it. Normally I enjoy the burger very much, but for some reason today perhaps they added twice the amount of spice to it. Disappointed. In case you think I am a wus, I am Indian origin and not a stranger to hot food. The burger was hot by most any standard.
The fries were good as usual but the spice level in the burger left a bad taste in the mouth. The Ginger Lime drink was potent and good. I got it in a cup instead of the plastic baggy that it usually comes in.

Whether I drop in for a quick salad or pizza at the bar during the in-between hours or bring a small group for dinner when the place is jam-packed, Mani works well. From gracious reception at the front end to knowledgable wait-staff, and great food it is always an excellent and reliable experience.

Opened in March of 1982 by Paul Saginaw and Ari Weinzweig in an historic building near the Ann Arbor Farmers' Market. Serving up thousands of made-to-order sandwiches with ingredients like premium Black Angus corned beef and pastrami, free-range chicken and Turkey, housemade chopped liver and chicken salad. The Deli also stocks an exceptional array of farmhouse cheeses, estate-bottled olive oils, varietal vinegars, smoked fish, salami, coffee, tea and much, much more. Today, Zingerman's Delicatessen is an Ann Arbor institution, the source of great food and great experiences for thousands of visitors every year.
Large sandwiches were good for 2 meals. All were excellent. Sides, such as knishes, were also really good. They have a coffee drink, vanilla cold brewed, that a couple of our party absolutely loved. Great place

My husband thinks their salmon entree is the best in town. I find ordering one appetizer makes a full meal - last time I ordered the crab/lobster cake appetizer, I took one home. Deserts are okay not great. We are not meat eaters so can't...MoreHello, Thank you for the great review. I’m so happy to hear that you enjoyed your dining experience at The Chop House. We hope to see you again soon! Best Regards, Lisa Hunt Guest Services Head Supervisor Mainstreet Ventures Inc. [email protected] (888)456-3463

When your taste buds only want the best homemade, authentic German recipes, this family owned restaurant, that has been in the Ann arbor area for over 90 years, is the only place to go. The food and selections are exceptional. Quantities are generous and pricing is reasonable. Service was friendly, but SLOW. We were there in the mid-afternoon for a late lunch, so there was only a hand full of customers in the dining room. Did not see any reason for the long delays between seeing our waitress. We will return, but only because of the fantastic food.

Ate dinner with daughter while on a colllege visit at UMich. Great atmosphere and friendly hostess and server. Extensive wine list by the glass much appreciated. We enjoyed the Mediterranean bowls for our dinner, sautéed cauliflower for an app, and yummy cannolis for dessert. This would become a perennial favorite if she enrolls.

All across Ann Arbor, the Gandy Dancer restaurant is known for its creative preparations of seafood, steaks and pasta dishes. Situated in the beautifully restored 1886 Michigan Central Depot, it is both an architectural landmark as well as an elegant restaurant. A popular wedding venue in Ann Arbor, the Gandy Dancer's fine cuisine and sophisticated, historic atmosphere make a grand setting for rehearsal dinners and receptions. One taste of the Gandy Dancer menu, and you'll see why diners all over Michigan choose it time and time again
The atmosphere is fantastic and the food and service is always outstanding. We've been there many times since our first visit nearly 35 years ago and we have never been disapointed.
